Although their stores are a little run down from the outside with scaffolding supporting ageing roof structures, the combined experience of the staff here is something that many other motorcyle spares shops would struggle to match. I had heard through word of mouth 'not to bother with them'. I can only personally speculate where this rubbish came from! They MOT'D my bike on the spot, found a very minor thing wrong with it, (which would figure because it's what I already knew about and other than that, it runs like a beauty). So I came away over the moon, as I usually have to wait a day or two for an MOT. They have seats in reception while you wait and I'm Female, not once did they make me feel like I was stupid or try to convince me that there was more wrong with my bike than I anticipated. The other day I called them to ask if they could get me a new battery, which they sorted for me over the phone and told me I could pick up the next day, due to charging. They gave it me boxed, but filled and charged, I mentioned that I'd take my old one down the tip, so they offered to put the new one in, free of charge and dispose of the old one for me. I waited a few minutes and rode away happy! And again? A great price too! Good guys, who really know how to keep business!

I have an old seventies racer which I picked up for a snip on Ebay so there's a limit to the extent I would go to regarding spending on it because it has seen better days and use it for commuting to and from work and it was all but doomed when the pedal crank was falling off but Pete fixed it on the spot and dead cheap too. When the bottom bracket packed in a few weeks ago I really thought that was that but Pete did a cost effective repair and happy to say I'm still on the road and still well within my budget thanks to him looking after me even though I was clearly not with the modern day cyclists. It's a very busy shop for repairs because he does it so well but above all is the honesty of this shop and will continue to recommend people to use him.I have been there a few times now and never been ripped off and is trustworthy. If I had gone somewhere else a perfectly good commuting bike would have been scrapped by now and when you have two kids at Uni saving money is the name of the game. Thank you so much Pete!
