We felt quantas from Dallas to Sydney 16hr flight business class. Purchased through American Airlines as part of our trip. Unfortunately AA did not get my bag to quanta's but they did get my wife's bag luckily. The staff/crew was great. Nice flight with lay flat seats to get some sleep over the night flight. Delicious food as well.

For whatever reason I thought that this airline was top notch. The service was ok. It needs improvement. The equipment to watch TV was broken in our row. The seats were dirty. The entire plane I felt needed to get a good deep cleaning. The food was what can I say its airplane food. You can expect to have a 4 start restaurant meal. It was ok. They do equip you with headphones, blankets, pillows. For the kids, they get a little goodie bag with a sketch a pad and a pair of house socks. I do like that you can see what's going on outside. There's a camera view from the wing of the airplane

Our trip home was better than our trip here. The flight attendants were nice and friendly. We paid $2000 for premium to get some leg room. The meals were good and frequent and we did have great leg room. We would fly with them again in the future

I flew on Qantas on four different airplanes on four flights, international and domestic and all on Economy class. Here are the planes: Boeing 747 - LAX (Los Angeles) to SYD (Sydney Kingsford Smith), a really big plane. Airbus A330 - SYD to MEL (Melbourne Tullamarine), a fairly medium-sized plane. Boeing 737 - MEL to SYD, a not so small plane, but not a big plane. Airbus A380 - SYD to LAX, probably the biggest plane I flew on in my life. LAX to SYD - This was probably one of the most arduous out of the four flights. I left Los Angeles around midnight, and arrived in Sydney in the morning one day later. It was a very full flight and sitting in a middle seat in the middle section was not fun. Legroom was extremely minimal, but I tried to sleep as much as I can. Food on this flight was fairly adequate, not the types of food I would eat every day, but definitely tasted better than the food I have eaten on airlines based in the US. It was a delayed flight by about 30 minutes because of a "luggage problem" but I didn't pay much attention to the time. Using my stopwatch, the flight was barely 14 hours long. SYD to MEL - The flight was a very comfortable even though it was 2 hours. I left Sydney in the morning and arrived in Melbourne in the early "arvo". The plane was about 40% full so I had plenty of space on an aisle seat. Really liked the biscuits they provided, and were my favourite part of the flight. MEL to SYD - This flight was a little boring because there were no individual TVs on the seats, but it was somewhat comfortable, even though it was a full flight. Legroom was very mediocre. I left Melbourne in the early "arvo" and arrived in Sydney late in the "arvo". I don't remember this flight very well because I slept during the entire flight. SYD to LAX - I left Sydney in the middle of the "arvo" and would arrive in Los Angeles on the same day but in the morning. It was probably one of the most comfortable international flights I had, since I had a window seat. It was also a full flight, and since the plane had two decks, I was on the lower deck, I liked that the flight attendants always provided pitchers of water. Food was almost exactly the same as the flight from LAX to SYD. If I had to choose between the Boeing 747 or the Airbus A380 if I want to fly from LAX to SYD, I would choose the Airbus A380 unless they made the Boeing 747 much more comfortable. The flight was about 13 hours. What I really like about this airline is that it offers a lot of great things that other airlines from the States do not offer. For both international AND domestic, you can check in one piece of baggage for free. They have plenty of options on the in-flight entertainment system for every passenger with a lot of film selections and TV shows. It was also nice that they had a lot of video travel guides of the major world cities with some gorgeous TV presenters as well as a map showing where you are and how many hours remaining until your arrival. Flight attendants and stewards were pretty good and had some of that great Australian hospitality, the men were courteous, professional and helpful, while the ladies were charming, nice, and some were even cute. Overall, I would highly recommend Qantas if you want to go to Australia and I think it is one of my favourite airlines. I found the service definitely better than a lot of airlines I flew domestically in the States, and I believe a lot of airlines from the States can learn from this great airline by offering the same great amenities already included in the airfare.

A great airline. I mainly travel domestically, and despite the frequent back and forth between Sydney and Melbourne, and for when I now occasionally travel to the south side - the service is always great. If I choose to move to an earlier or later flight - no problem. Flight cancelled - no stress. Just ring them up and you're on a new flight immediately. Whether you fly business or economy, the seats are so comfortable. I missed one of my domestic flights in the past, and I was on standby for only two minutes before I was placed on a new flight. The service in business class is excellent. Fresh dishes and as much wine as you want with a hot towel and lounge access. Wider seats and footrests with a back recline and push back - can't complain. It is great that you can watch TV or choose your own songs on some boeing 737 services, and on all domestic A380 services. It is great to be fed in the sky. Travelling makes you hungry. I don't think I will fly with them internationally - I had a disappointing experience on an overseas trip with this airline a couple of years ago. Domestically - they're a gem. They're only slightly dearer than Virgin Australia. As a silver frequent flyer (I have been silver for seven years now) I just swipe my card at the booth, and I receive an SMS to verify that I have checked in. I can then take my luggage to an electronic luggage bay, and my electronic luggage tag knows where I am travelling to. No more white sticky luggage tags. My frequent flyer card is now my boarding pass too. Too easy.

My only surprise was that there was no Wi Fi on the plane; this was a 4 hour flight and Wi Fi would have been nice; Other than that Quantas is good!

As a frequent traveler and one world Emerald member, I generally enjoy complimentary seat selection benefits when flying with partner carriers. However, my recent experience with Royal Jordanian was disappointing. I paid an additional $140 to reserve what appeared to be a two-seat row for my wife and me. Upon boarding, we discovered that the row actually contained three seats, which made the extra charge feel unjustified, especially since no traveler willingly pays more for a middle seat. The onboard seating experience was also uncomfortable. My assigned seat, 6K, lacked sufficient cushioning, making it difficult to sit comfortably during the journey. I had to use extra pillows and blankets to support my back and reduce discomfort throughout the flight. Customer service before departure was equally frustrating. I contacted one office for information regarding my flight and aircraft, only to be transferred to another department. After several phone calls and multiple referrals between different offices, I eventually reached someone who provided the information I originally requested. The process was unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. While the aircraft itself was modern and visually impressive, and several flight attendants worked hard to assist passengers, the overall cabin environment left much to be desired. Restrooms became untidy early in the flight, with cleanliness issues that negatively affected the travel experience. Combined with the service challenges I encountered, the journey did not meet my expectations.

If and when we come back to Australia, it won't be through this airport. Why? We were granted an electronic visa for tourism within 72 hours of our application and excitedly awaited our upcoming travel this March. We were a bit apprehensive about finding our way through Sydney's International Terminal, but were quickly relieved by clear directional signs and quick, easy electronic passport screening. We were impressed with the modern, sleek yet friendly-looking facility, the multiple new electronic security kiosks designed to handle the large number of incoming visitors and returning residents, and the local artwork displays. I must say it took us around 15 minutes from the arrival gate to baggage claim, then to check in and pass through immigration, as we didn't have anything to declare. Once we exited immigration, we met with our driver, who was proudly showing a company placard with our names boldly printed. This was by far the best and most efficient arrival procedures and processing into a foreign country that we have ever encountered. We'd happily return.

I've always flew US domestic most times when I travel, but on the rare instances that I do international, I decided to check out Emirates Airlines, just because I have heard about the pretty cool amenities that they offer. At least, that what I hear, probably international airlines in general. And so, my flight was booked from SYD to CHC for a nice Monday morning in September 2018. The check in process was actually at the check in counter. The gate agent did ask me when I was to fly back to Sydney or leave New Zealand. I'm guessing New Zealand doesn't like people traveling one way and get stuck. I was on holiday, so there wasn't any need to be stuck anywhere. I got the boarding pass there and proceeded to the gate. I was surprised that there was a full flight that morning. Only thing was that we actually boarded and departed late, but ended up arriving to Christchurch more or less on time. It was weird that way, but I was glad that I got to Christchurch at a decent time. We flew on an Airbus 380, which had an upstairs section for the business and first class fliers. I never knew this type of plane existed till this type of plane only flew internationally and the US carriers did not have this type of plane. Once I boarded the plane, I immediately saw the staircase to the second floor. That really blown me away, not realizing that they made that kind of plane! I was stoked and took it to social media upon arrival to my seat to voice my amazement for this wonder. After a while, it became clear to me, but I never seen it flying domestically in the United States. First time for everything! The overall experience here flying with Emirates Airlines from Sydney to Christchurch was nice, although the slight delay was disappointing. The airline usually accepts online bookings prior to departure via online credit card payments either directly on its website or third party travel companies. Best bet is to find the best deal and dates to fly before securing your airline ticketing options. Since my departure airport was Sydney Australia (SYD), I made sure I was here about 2 hours early even though it was an international flight. You don't have to be, but it helps a lot to not be panicking when time gets too close to departure. For the most part though, the seats were comfortable, I'll admit to. I sat in the back of the plane, since I rather not be hurried when I get off the plane. Although the plane had usb power, it was a quick flight, so i basically just did some yelp reviews on the way there. The service was nice enough, as airline service went. There was breakfast meal service on that morning flight. I know whether to take one and be asked for payment - or not. Thankfully, I had eaten prior to boarding and just had the complimentary wine that I knew was complimentary instead of guessing. The flight was smooth and no major bumps and other mishaps along the way. I wanted to get there alive, much like everyone else. Although I would have liked to be sitting in the business class section of the plane while traveling internationally, it was nice to experience the Emirates Airlines experience, just for once. Traveling internationally is something I don't do often, but when I do, I try to see how it is different than that of the United States and it's many carriers. Free wine is always a nice way to do things though. I should have asked if the meal was complimentary, but that's for next time and another flight. Flying is usually comes standard, but choosing the airline helps makes that proces smoother. If you have a choice for international travels, you can decide to fly with Emirates. They are cool. I would recommend them on flights to and from Sydney Australia. 4.0 stars for the overall experience and comfort. 4.0 stars for the seat comfort. 4.0 stars for the complimentary wine. Too bad I didn't ask them if the meal was complimentary. Oh well. 4.0 stars for the service. Fly more! Support local! B
