Okay, I think QQ sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Spokane. I've tried most of sushi restaurants in Spokane and nothing could beat QQ sushi in terms of price and taste. The only downside is that this restaurant is TINY and the wait can be long. So don't come in starving thinking that you will get your food right away! They own a private parking lot so parking isn't so bad. Located in north Spokane area which is sorta far from my place so I never tried this place until now. And I am glad I did! I got "Aloha" roll and it was very refreshing and pretty (it's so PINK!). :3 I also liked their special roll called mexicali (definitely recommend you to try it out if you like fried sushi. It can be spicy though because it got jalapeno on top). I think any rolls at QQ is a safe bet-- I tried my friends' and all of them turned out to be pretty great! Their chirashi bowl also looked pretty bomb so maybe I will try that next time I visit. They always give out a free complimentary appetizer. If you didn't get it, ask for it! The service was a bit slow b/c there are so many customers waiting. But price was great. Most rolls range from ($10~$15) which is a lot cheaper than other sushi restaurants. This was my first visit, possibly my last. A good restaurant should be able to deliver all the food to a table of 3 people at about the same time. My friends ordered a bento box, I ordered spring rolls and crispy cauliflower after the spring rolls were gone and my friends were nearly finished with their dinner, the cauliflower finally arrived. The server explained that it came out so late because it was fried. RIDICULOUS! The food was decent enough and I have no plans to return. read more

Rick solid, every time. Try the Gonzaga Roll! Had many menu items and always yummy and worth the trip.

By far this is the smallest sushi spot I've been too (in Spokane), they have tight space so expect to eat elbow-to-elbow with your neighbor. I say that because they are always crowded (full house, plus waiting customers and the ones picking up to go orders and staffs), which is a good thing right? My suggestion is go early and put your name on the list for the next available seat cause they don't take reservations. Service was prompt. I personally never had extremely bad service from them. For a busy place like them, yeah there would be some waiting but it's not bad to the point of neglect. Staffs are always nice. Their sushi is good, but I have issues with their portion slices. They are mouthful huge with thick sliced fish on top making it hard to pick up some of it in one piece. The sushi was falling off due to the heavy weight. The Gonzaga and Bruce Lee roll were the star of our meal, but the rest of our orders were just ok. Most of them had immitation crab meat inside with little to no variations, so flavors and texture wise were not too far apart from each other - fair amount of distinct taste. Honestly I've been here countless of times before and have never ad a problem with them...I understand that we are in pandemic but that shouldn't be an excuse for the quality of the food to drop I got there just as they were finishing my order so I decided to eat it in as soon as possible. That being said as soon as I was about to pick up the first slice of the roll it just fell apart the bottom end of the roll was sliced off to try and make it stand up better so you can see where this is going when I picked up each slice. Each slice was either too big to fit in one bit or too thin where it can't hold its shape. Hopefully the owner reads this and can rectify the service that was provided! read more

Food Salmon Miso Bento Box: Salmon was a little dry and on the salty side. Great side dishes. We substituted the tempura shrimp and veggies for edamame. It was okay. Lots of food, but not sure if we would get it again. Salmon & White Fish Sashimi - You can't beat 7 pieces of sashimi for $12. It's super fresh and tastes amazing. They get new shipments every Thursday so you're guaranteed fresh fish every week. I wanted to order more. Fire Lion King - We always order this every time we come in. I love the fire/presentation, the flavor, and how filling it is! It's a must try! Service Every time we've dined in, we've never been treated well. Not sure if it's a race issue, but it seems like everyone else always get attended on but us. Our water is never refilled. We were never checked on. Once the food came out, the next time anyone came over to us was to hand us the check. The service is pretty poor here, even during slow hours. Space It's a cute spot, but a pretty small one so it can get crowded pretty fast. The best time to dine in is after lunch or an early dinner time. read more

Ordered to-go through DoorDash pickup online and everything was ready within just a couple minutes of when I arrived at the scheduled pickup. The food was really good, entrees were hot and very fresh. Loved the Red Dragon roll, lobster roll (sauce was so good!), generals chicken, and gyozas most out of everything. Best sushi place I have been to. I come from a smaller town and nothing around where I live compares. The atmosphere is great they even have live music on Saturdays which was enjoyable and the Korean bbq was 11/10. They did forget to upgrade my steamed rice but I was too shy to correct her. QQ sushi is a a great sushi place in Spokane! The inside is very clean and decorative. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs. They sat us down and asked us for our drinks. They have us very fast and quick service which was good because I was starving. The first thing we ordered was cheese crab wonton as an appetizer. Was a great way to start out the night. Next we got a California role which was well priced at $4. It came out in a nice smile (look at the picture attached) I also after I was done eating I smiled as well. I got a red dragon roll which was delicious. And my friend got a pink mountain which was also tasty. (I think I liked the pink mountain a little better, sad my friend did not let me try more of her meal.) The pink mountain came out on a boat and looked very fancy it had steam coming out of it. Quality, classic sushi with a few recipe tweaks to make them unique. I've ordered the Sushi Saute and the Fire Lion King a few times now, but my family always does a mix-and-match deal so i've gotten to taste several other dishes. I'm so impressed by how good everything is! Their sauces are particularly flavorful, and their hot options are lightly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I'm used to eating sushi on the other side of the mountains, so i honestly expected restaurants in the area to be a step down (not trying to be snobby, but fresh fish is easier to come by like, at the actual ocean, haha!). I was wrong though--QQ could compete with the five star places i've eaten at in Seattle without question. I've mostly gotten take out, but the one time i actually went in person there was live music, which was really cool. They had all their windows and doors open, so there was great ventilation, which i've come to care about more post-pandemic. Living in the Valley, never get up north to try many restaurants. Tonight we thought we would try QQ Sushi Kitchen and were pleasantly surprised. There isn't much room in the restaurant, it is quite small, but we were able to get a spot at the sushi bar. After reviewing the menu, we found their prices to be very reasonable. We ordered the spicy tuna roll ($6) without rice (dietary reasons) and they were very accommodating. We also ordered the shashimi dinner ($18), which was delicious. We were extremely impressed with our entire meal the other day. Probably the best sushi we've ever had, and we have been to a lot of places!! Our typical fav is sushi.com, but this place is every bit as good! The spicy Thai fried rice was amazing, and my son loved the volcano and fresh rolls. My husband raved about the 12 piece chef's choice sashimi. Huge portions and so fresh! Our picky eater devoured the teriyaki chicken bento box! Top it off with hot sake and some fantastic service... This is a place we use to frequent once a week and get the sushi and sashimi bento box for 18$ It had a nice selection of sashimi ,sushi soup, salad and a great selection of tempura veg and pot stickers ,then they were closed down because of mishandling of food ,and then covid closed them down they slowly started opening up with togo, but it felt like they're food quality wasn't up to par today I decided I would give them another whirl ,I ordered the sushi/sashimi bento instead of 18$ it was 31$ when my wife got home and I open the containers and NO tempura ... I called and asked about the tempura I got a lame excuse about food prices .......Yes I know inflation but if your going to raise the price 13$ at least keep the tempura in the bento box ..... read more

QQ is hands down the best sushi. Fresh, flavorful, and fast. No matter what you get here it'll be delicious. I'm a huge fan of their California rolls. They're $4 and they're huge! They have a special "Gonzaga" roll that is out of this world. Their crunch and dragon rolls are also amazing. QQ will be the best sushi you'll have. It's a super small restaurant but they get you in and out in a timely manner, and they don't jip you in their take out options. We always enjoy our time spent at QQ! The service is excellent and the food is delicious. Sushi is fresh and in generous portions. The rolls have a little too much sauce for my liking but that can be remedied by request. The appetizers are fantastic - no one does coconut shrimp like QQ! I'm so glad that we live nearby. This place is a favorite, great food and lots of choices. The only downfall is how small the place is, but it's worth finding an "off-time" to visit. Update: It pains me to update this from 5 stars to 1 star. After the blatant disregard for health code regulations, I can no longer support this business, which is a shame. The owner pleads ignorance to the goings on in the kitchen, and fired the staff. I'm not sure if he was aware or not, but shame on him either way. For Spokane it's not bad. The good: The portions are huge and are each at least 2 bites. The appetizers are done well. They have "local" rolls like the Gonzaga and Seahawks rolls. Service - hit and miss. It depends on the time, and which server you get. I've been served immediately to having to wait for 5+ minutes to get water, refills or an order even taken. The bad: the seats in the middle of the restaurant. They are hard as nails, 100+ pound benches and NEAR TO IMPOSSIBLE to move to get seated. If you have 4 people seated and one person has back problems it is very difficult to be seated. read more

I used to like this place and think I even gave them a great review at one time. However, that time has passed. Based on quality of food, quality of service, and ambiance, the very best I could do was two stars. I wanted to only give one but my son said the food tasted OK so I should at least give them two stars. Quality of food: they changed their menu and no longer have curries or other entres besides a few bento boxes. I loved their curries!! Although I like sushi it is expensive and I am hungry again after an hour so I will usually order something else along with a sushi roll. This time I had to order a bento box. It came with stuff I didn't like (deep fried vegies and shrimp), and I ended up not liking the main item (sweet and sour something). Maybe they changed the menu because of covid but I hope they bring back some variety. Quality of service: wow! This sucked. Three waitresses all gabbing constantly and loudly. All dressed inappropriately, two in extremely short shorts and one in a skin-tight exercise outfit. Had to ask for drink refills and when we received more water (wasn't asked if we wanted a soda refill) she acted like she was doing us a favor. Didn't bring the included rice with our meals, we had to ask and she seemed surprised that we wanted it. Didn't bring Wasabi and ginger with our rolls, had to ask. Didn't bring my starter until almost the end of the meal. They were just terrible. Ambiance: even though it used to be a tiny, cramped place it had a comfortable and welcoming vibe. Now they have doubled their space but there is no unifying or identifying theme to the place. It is confusing as to why the decorations were chosen since none of them match. The furniture is placed indiscriminately and the feeling is just unwelcoming. Maybe, hopefully, they are still working on this and it will get better soon. Yum! I really needed my sushi fix and two people recommended this place. I've never knew about QQ sushi even though it's literally on my way home. I ordered spicy salmon, salmon, tuna, eel roll, and red dragon roll to go. I know I should have taken photos of them but we inhaled them in less than 5 minuets as soon as I got home and I just wasn't fast enough I needed to eat before all sushi's gone, you know? Each rolls were much bigger than I expected and good. I definitely have to come back soon to try other menu. The soy sauce was a little strange as I like Japanese soy sauce so if it's okay with them, I'll just bring mine or do to go. When we make a list of all our favorite places to eat in Spokane, QQ's is always at the top of the list. It was one of the first places we visited when we moved here, and it's the #1 place we visit when we return to Spokane after trips! Yes, it's a "let's hit this on the way home even though we've just been on a plane for 4 hours" kind of place :) The sushi is fantastic - fresh, tasty, flavorful. Our favorites are the Red Dragon roll and the Sushi Saute (seriously, the Sushi Saute is $6 and it's SO tasty!). We've also had their chow mein, and lunch and dinner bentos. My favorite things to get at QQ's are the sushi - that's why I'm there! But honestly, we've tried a lot of things on their menu and everything is a hit! Prices are reasonable for the type of food - you can score a Sushi Saute for $6, $12 for a Red Dragon roll (very filling!), or $18 for a dinner bento (depending on what type of meat you choose). You won't go wrong with any of it! Service is pretty good too - we've always been well taken care of. If anything, the only 'downside' is the other customers :) The tables are a little too close together and we've encountered some pretty rude (they must be hangry!) people - but it's not QQ's fault :) read more

I ordered their sashimi bowl which is a true test of quality since it's plain fish with no sauces to drown out the true fish flavors...and sorry to say the fish wasn't great and not very fresh. As of today, Aug 2021, their sashimi bowl is $22 + change after tax, 8 pcs came with only 6 slices of assorted fish, 1 small krab meat, and a small slice of tamago egg.
