I don't know why anyone would buy a car here. I went to the showroom and told the salesperson that i was interested in buying a new ford focus. The salesperson told me that he had none in stock and that the 3 cars that were on their way are already sold. I said ok and asked him to let me know when they arrived so i could at least look at the car i wanted to buy. He said he couldn't let me see the car. I have never had a salesperson try so hard to not sell me a car. I called the sales manager and left a polite message. I did not get a return call. I was experiencing engine misfire on a Sunday, so I had little choice but to bring it to Quality Automall Ford in Rutherford, NJ (closest Ford dealership to me) Monday morning at 7:30am without an appointment. Service Manager Carlos Santana was very courteous in getting my car checked out within two hours and arranged a shuttle to take me home since the repair will take some time. The shuttle driver Frankie was very friendly and very professional. However, there were numerous issues that arose with the dealership's service after that initial pleasant experience. First, Carlos promised that the car would be done by 11am or noon on Tuesday, so my wife told her boss that she would leave work early in order to help me pick up the car late Tuesday afternoon. Well, Tuesday noon came and went without any call, so I called at 3pm or so; Carlos was not there, so I left a voicemail. Came 4:20pm, no return call, so I called him again; I was able to reach his this time, and he told me that the car is not done yet but he was 99% sure that it will be done by 6pm, so I should still plan on coming in. With that assurance, my wife left work early at 4:30pm as planned. Fast forward to 6:05pm, Carlos called me and said the repair was done, but they did not take a chance to test drive it, so they want to keep the car overnight. When I told him about my wife having to take off early for car pickup, he said that will call me Wednesday around 11am when the car was done and whether it was ok to send someone to pick me up at that time. On that Wednesday, 11am rolled around without a call, and by now I was used to his poor communications. At 1pm, I called him, and he said that the car was done and I could come pick up any time I want, obviously forgotten that he had promised someone to pick me up. Finally, at 1:45pm, he called to let me know that Frankie is already on his way to my house to pick me up, who was his usual friendly self. Paying the bill, which was painful as car repairs usually would be, gave me a very slight reprieve in that they discovered another small component that needed to be replace that they did not see on Monday; since they did not quote it, they did not charge me for that part. I drove around for 20 to 30 minutes just to make sure all was well before I went home. So all in all, they did their job well as far as I could see thus far, but it seemed that they have much to improve in terms of communication with their customers, and relaying proper expectations in terms of time needed to perform the work. read more

I am highly disappointed with Quality AutoMall. This is my second lease with them plus I referred multiple people. I have a Ford Edge that needed service. When I back up it feels like I hit something. When I go forward it feels like the Hulk is holding it back. They said my drive shaft went. Waiting almost 2 months for the shaft & was told multiple times car is safe to drive with my 2 small kids. According my research the car could just suddenly break down. Needless to say, I was told the part was in & I had to pay for a loaner (part under warranty since it's their product that FAILED). Tommy the manager in service dept was extremely rude. Claiming I need to pay for a rental & give a security deposit. When I refused to pay for the rental and leave deposit the part disappeared. Vanished!!! Called headquarters and still waiting for them to rectify this mess. Needless to say I won't be recommending Quality AutoMall or Ford AGAIN!!!! read more

After not driving for 10 years I needed a car so my husband and I went to see what Ford has to offer when researching a low monthly lease car option. Ross helped us out and answered questions, showing us what my monthly lease budget would get me. The inventory was limited which was the main factor here but it also didn't help that even though we made it clear I was the one who needed the car and would me paying the lease, the Salesman continuously spoke directly to my husband even though I was the one asking questions. I recently went in for my vehicle's thirty thousand mile inspection at the service department. I also asked if my brakes could be checked as I have felt a major decrease in stopping power lately and on a previous service call, one of their mechanics noted that my brakes might need work in the future. After waiting about an hour, I was told that my car was fine and just needed an oil change. I asked if all my hoses, belts and fluids were checked and was told that everything was checked and that my vehicle was in top condition. I asked if my brakes were checked and they said that they were fine and that Mustangs usually have "those kinds of brakes." I don't know what that means. I paid my bill and left. The next week saw a change to cool air in the morning and when I went to turn on the heat in my car, I noticed that no hot air was coming through the vents. I did my best through the work week and went in for an inspection Saturday morning and was told that they were too busy to address the situation right now and that I should come back during the week at around seven a.m to get the best service. I, like many people, work during that time, but I said okay and was about to leave, but before I did, I had the good sense to ask the mechanic what could be causing the A.C to work perfectly while my heat was not functioning at all. He instructed me to pop the hood and when he checked my engine coolant chamber, he noted that it was almost bone dry. This was only two week after I was informed that all my fluids were checked and topped off during my inspection. I was very upset and went back to ask Alan why this was so. He attempted to tell me that sometimes these issues develop instead of just being honest and saying that his staff overlooked that issue or were not doing the job they said they did. After filling noting my dissatisfaction on the customer survey, I was contacted by Alan to inform me that my vehicle would no longer be serviced there. I informed him that I was not planning on returning to a place that was dishonest and give them my hard earned money. Alan exchanged a series of petty messages and wen as far as to call me illiterate. This staff at this location is very careless and do not look out for the well being of their clients or their vehicles. Better to find another location to get you vehicle maintained. read more

I bought a Ford Fusion 2103 model -Titanium. Not even 12 months and two issues. ( Apart from call back on gas tank replacement ). Car just failed to start with engine issue . Ford pulled it to service center and did not convince me why it failed. After 1st oil change on 17th Oct, at quality automall.car is again showing low oil on 16th Dec ( after ~ 500miles of oli change?). Last time it took 2 days for Mr Tom to call me after leaving around 12 msgs.. service of quality automall is just horrible .. read more

If I could give Quality Auto Mall less then one star I surely would. The only benefit I did have was finding out how bad they really were BEFORE I purchased a vehicle from them. I work A LOT, so finding the time to shop for a new vehicle was not an easy task. Since I work in Newark, I met my brother in law and mom there after work at around 7 pm after they drove 45 minutes to meet me there so that I could look at a White Ford Escape Limited that a friend of mine had found online for me. A salesman came out and we went to look at the car. He went to get the keys, took a copy of my license, and was okay to deal with through this and the test drive. Car was nice and ran smoothly besides the black transmission fluid (which they agreed to change before I purchased the vehicle). After working on number (and leaving us sit there for quite a while) we couldn't come to the number I needed, but we were so close that I figured we would be able to get there eventually. At this point it was about 9:45 at night, they were closed, and I really wanted to get home. The salesman talked me into leaving a deposit on the truck to hold it so that they couldn't sell it before I got there the next day. The general manager came out and told me the same thing, assuring me that he was going to try and figure out what they could do for me to get to the number we needed. Great! At this point I handed over a $100 bill as a deposit on the car and told them I would be back the next day. I thought that it was a little weird that the General Manager put my $100 bill in his WALLET to hold the car and I received no paperwork, but hey... it was after hours so maybe they closed things up already.. and anyway I was coming back in less then 24 hours. I received a call from the salesman the next morning to see when I was coming and if he had time to take another customer, which I though was really nice. I told him I would be there around 12:30pm, so that he could go ahead and help someone else and that I would wait for him if I got there and he was busy. Good thing he called though, because he never gave me a card or told me his name (though I think he said it was Mike when I got the phone call). I asked a friend of mine to go with me to the dealer so I had someone to help me work the deal with, so we took the 45 minute drive to the dealer ready to purchase this car. I parked (in the same spot I did the night before), wore my hair the same way, and I think even had on the same hoodie. I saw the same salesman on the lot so we walked down and I waved as we were walking to let him know it was me. This was not even 15 hours from the time I left the dealer the night before. He came up and asked if he could help us and if we were interested in buying a vehicle (I thought he was kidding) -- I said "yea" and laughed.. then said "that's what I thought I left a deposit for"... he proceeded to say "Oh, you're Kelley?...Too late, we sold the truck" (Again, thought he was kidding). Apparently he wasn't as he said "I'm not kidding, they sold it about an hour ago...sucks for me, since I lost the sale..but, nothing I can do about it it's gone." -- WHAT?!?!? He then proceeded to say that if I wanted he could give me my deposit back (and that he just had to figure out where it was). When I asked what the point of a deposit was if they were going to sell it anyway (it's not as if I disappeared for a week...this was 15 hours later and he had talked to me to confirm I was coming earlier that morning) he said that if I was there by 9:30 am the car could have been mine... Well, of course it could have been! They don't open until 9:30 am...I didn't have to leave a deposit for that! Moral of the story is that I basically drove 45 minutes and spent multiple hours at this dealer for them to hold my $100 for 15 hours and me drive 45 minutes to pick it up. I have never been so appauled with the lack of professionalism, disregard for procedure, and overall experience of working with this dealer. I expect to be ripped off at a dealer, but this took it to a whole new level. I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from them (even though he tried to see if I wanted to look at something else after that) and other people should think twice before doing so as well. However, if you're in the area All American Ford in Hackensack was only 15 minutes away, happened to have almost exactly the same truck, were polite, courteous, worked with me...oh, and wrote my name on the truck saying "SOLD" when I put my deposit down for it!!!!!! They were fantastic and the poor excuse for a dealership that Quality Auto Mall is should take some tips (but i'd like to thank them for royally screwing me...I got a much better deal!) Overall, Quality Auto Mall are a bunch of scheming, shady, unprofessional people that should learn to treat customers better if they want to get business. read more

Definitely not a dealership you want to give your money to. Just because you place a deposit on a vehicle, doesn't mean you will get that vehicle. I could've sworn the whole reason for placing a deposit on a vehicle is to show that you're serious about purchasing the said vehicle and that it would reserve the vehicle for purchase when the vehicle is ready to be picked up. NOPE! They sell cars from underneath you, that you've placed a deposit on, then try and offer you another vehicle. Stay far away. I'm telling everyone I know and publishing this on as many websites as I can to give them a bad rep. I'm an honest and loyal person, but when I get screwed with, I take it personally. Took our truck in for an oil change and came home and found the oil in the driveway. They said it was not from our truck. We brought it home and we fixed the perversion driveway and when we parked there again same thing. We brought it back again now they found the problem. They told me and my wife they would pay for damage. It has been 1 month so we called and Jeff Peck the service director said "You gave our dealership a bad review on dealerrater we are not giving you anything". They are greedy people that try to talk them selves out of any situation and cover up the discussing truth that is quality ford. Their people skills are horendous, they speak to people like they have no manners at all. This man (Mike Brando) gave me a fake price on a car, then when I try to accept it, the price changes substantially right before my ears. Then his horrible people skills trys to hang up on me telling me all sorts of lies like I was garbage. At this dealership I was mislead and was treated like trash. All I was trying to do was buy a good car at the price they promised me. I've never been treated so horribly at a business. They promised that all they want to do is "help you buy a car" and "that care about the customers". If this dealership tells you that, walk right back out the door cause they are lying, viscous people. All they care about is their money and they will try to take every penny of it. The only reason I gave 1 star was because I had to give something. About a week ago my husband went into the service department to have a new mirror ordered for our truck. The following day they called informing us the part was in. I drove over early in the morning to have the new mirror installed. When I arrived I found myself standing around waiting to be helped. One gentleman told me someone would be withheld me shortly and walked out. A few minutes later he walked back in and shuffled papers and said to go wait a few desks down and that man would help me and walked out again. Several minutes later the other man finally helped me and kindly directed me to the waiting area after telling me it would take about an hour to have the mirror installed. I took a seat in the waiting area and saw them bring the truck in. About an hour later the guy came back in and told me they did not have the mirror. Remember I had already been waiting for an hour. The guy then asked me when we were told the mirror was in. When I asked him why it took an hour for them to tell me they did not have the part he said we were trying to find it. I told him that was unacceptable and they should have known when I gave our name and they pulled up our vehicle he said he was just trying to help. He then informed me the part would possibly be in on Wednesday and they would call us. I told him we already received a call stating the mirror was there and suddenly it wasn't so he could go ahead and cancel the order and that we would go to a dealership that was clearly more organized then they were. Long story short...STAY AWAY from this very unprofessional service department. read more

i've written a review for this place before and i'm going to do it again. these place is horrible and is filled with incompetent people. i've had to bring the car i bought from them less than year ago back five times to get fixed and they haven't identified the correct issue once. the manager of the entire facility (jordan) hung up on me when i got charged $500 for a rental car i wasn't supposed to be paying for while my car was getting "fixed" for the fifth time. and he called me a liar. avoid this hell hole at all costs. they're scammers and conartists. read more

I wouldn't even give them one star if it was an option. Going here was a waste of my time. I had an appointment to see a car. Made my appointment on Monday to go see the car on Wednesday. I got pre-approval for financing and I spoke with someone at Quality Auto Mall on Monday and Tuesday about the car. On Wednesday I went straight from work to Rutherford. I got there about 30 minutes early, had to wait about 20 minutes for Chris and then I was told that the car was sold earlier that day and he did not get a chance to call me. I explained to him that he could have taken 5 minutes out of his day to call seeing as he had no idea where I was traveling from. He told me they had another car I could look at but it was about $6,000 more expensive so I would have to put an additional $4,000 down on top of my trade-in. Needless to say, I walked right out. I went up the street to Bellavia Chevy Buick and walked out with a brand new Traverse. read more

We went in and told the salesman we were interested in 2 cars and were trying to figure out which one we liked best. We were considering buying a car from here, before the next step happened. We were interested in the Fusion & Escape and mentioned we wanted to test drive both. We test drove the escape, and the salesman got so pushy. He didn't let us test drive the fusion he basically tried to sell us on the first car that we drove and tried pushing it on us. We didn't like the car and he wouldn't take no for an answer. If you want to make a sale, listen to what we are looking for. Before you tally up a price make sure we try every car we are looking for because you may have gotten a sale with the Fusion. We also had a get $50 for test driving car from there. We were 100% interested in the car before we found out about the $50 but after the salesman got so angry with us for not buying the car, they wrote down a fake code that we have to enter online, thinking they screwed us over. Well, I found the code another way so they didn't scam me that day after all no matter how hard they tried. Nowhere on the coupon did it say that we had to buy a car to receive $50; although, you did lose a customer because we really wanted a Fusion in the end. Just because the escape is worth a bigger sale, doesn't mean you should push it on a customer who has 2 interests. I've come to this Ford before & didn't recommend it, still don't. read more

I had an excellent experience with Quality Auto Mall used car division. Bought a Ford cutaway van for my company fleet and was totally impressed with the transaction and price. The truck was listed on autotrader for $11999, while on the test drive with Dan I told him I was looking to stay under $11000. He said he would talk to the manager upon returning to the showroom and I thought "here we go". Well after returning to the showroom, he came out of the managers office offering the truck for $10500. So even with the dealer fees and temp. plate, I was hundreds under budget. Returned the following week to pick up truck, Dan picked me up at the NJT station, the truck was ready, and I drove back to CT, no problem. Perfectly smooth purchase. After hearing that I was driving back to CT, the sales manager wanted to give me a free oil change, but I was in a hurry to beat traffic. I would definitely do business with them again. Between ebay, autotrader, and craigslist, I looked at probably 1000 trucks, so I can say with authority that I got a great deal. read more

I tried my best to remain positive about my experience with this establishment, but I sincerely have nothing nice to say. Dan Sangirardi is the epitome of a dirty salesman. I have sat here and read the reviews and I cannot make a clear identification as to how some reviews can praise him. He was not helpful to me. I bought a used car from him and I asked him to give me a copy of the stock order sheet. He told me that it was placed in a department that was closed. I asked him to email it to me, clearly he never did. I texted him three times asking for, and never heard a response. Additionally, he added GAP insurance to my contract without reviewing it with me. It has been a headache to deal with trying to remove the GAP from my contract because no one answers calls there or ever calls back. I had to go there in person and deal with a manager who told me it would take two weeks. It has been more than two weeks, and I have yet to hear any word on it. As if that were not enough, it is the salesman job to call and inform you that your plates have come in, which I know from past experience only takes two weeks at most. I had to call and find out that they were there because I noticed my temp plates are expiring soon. Even the employee I spoke to told me that he was suppose to call me. I do have to say that the lady who answers the phone, Kathy is indeed helpful and polite!! THANK YOU KATHY! Dan is unprofessional and very inconsiderate.
