So basically you can book a workshop, via the website, to "hands-on" learn how to build, craft and design a wooden product from raw materials to finished product. This involves picking the materials and using all of the necessary machinery to complete your product. Our niece scheduled this outing for her, her parents, the wife and I (The 4 Amigos) to partake in a couples crafting workshop; thanks JT. Be warned, this experience is not for the faint of heart. You should really be prepared for the following: * If you go in the winter time, you will be cold. So dress accordingly! * This is a real, fully functioning place of work. It is not fancy! So dress accordingly! * If you are weak, clumsy or both, don't go. You can get hurt. (No one was injured during our workshop) * If you are uber sanitary, don't go! Bathrooms would not meet your standards. * If you are unable to stand for long periods of time, don't go! It is mostly standing room only. Now with that being said, if you are adventurous, good with your hands or like to try new things... RUN book your session immediately. Sessions includes access to materials, equipment, guidance from experts and lunch. Think of this experience as Sip and Paint without the paint and certainly without the booze. I love the different Maple trees. They He showed us the vineyard. A good variety of berries. They were not quite ready to pick. We will definitely be back when berries are ready to be picked. After much online research, I found C&J Nursery in Angier, just south of Raleigh and a 40 minute drive for us. This is a great nursery run by a father and son, who built up their business themselves and truly an inspiring American Dream success story! Their plants are well organized in tidy weed-free rows. All the plants are healthy. They have a great variety of the shrubs and trees and had everything we were looking for. The son took us around and patiently helped me choose the best plants for my project. He knew the answers to all of my questions without even having to look on his phone.
