Just terrible. The entire place is run down and dirty. In our room specifically, there are stains on the walls, stains on the mirrors, broken things, someone's hair on the shower walls, dirty washcloth on the floor. Our room faced the pool atrium and the lights coming in from that area all night kept the room very bright, disturbing our sleep. When you check out, they don't keep track. You just throw your key card in a basket at the front desk. As a result, the cleaning staff have no idea if you checked out or not which is why at 9:30AM (check-out is at 11AM) housekeeping tried to enter our room while we were still here. Fortunately we had the bar lock in place and they couldn't open the door all the way. Everything is just terrilbe. Stay away. read more

Why did I not read reviews before coming here. I'm scared to get in the bed. It's full of ants and sheets are stained. It's like 90° and both my son and me are sleeping on top of the sheets fully clothed in pants and socks. Son sat down in the chair and got some foul sticky stuff on his arm. We got to the hotel and checked in. The lobby looked nice but don't be fooled. We left to go to our rooms. We walked into the door and the windows were filthy. The hallway was pretty dirty. I was not hopeful of the room. We opened our room door and was hit with this funky musty smell. The rug was old and the bathroom and floor was very old and not very clean. The pool was filled with screaming kids. The bar and game room shown in the pictures do not exist. The free breakfast was as disappointing as the room was. Every thing needs updated and not very secure. Entry doors were broken. They don't lock so anyone can wander the halls. read more

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend passing through Ohio, and the room was alright. That was the positive and most important part of the stay. The AC worked well in the room, and bed was comfortable with new linens. The furniture in the room was in good shape. Bathroom clean and functional. Wifi worked. TV was good. One reason I stay here on occasion is the atrium and pool. This was once a Holiday Inn Holidome and is probably one of only a few of its kind left. It's nice to use the pool area after driving all day. The atrium area needs some work. For example, the men's restroom in the atrium is closed, so there is just one bathroom. The women's. The door is kept open to it, and the once you go in, the toilets are in bad shape. See the pictures. The atrium is very hot; the a/c is off in there. When the temperature outside is 85 its easily 95 in the atrium. And a day in the 90s is going to make the atrium over 100. This area needs attention, and the management needs to keep the a/c on in the atrium in the summer. This was the standard when it was a Holiday Inn for sure. If the atrium was brought back to the condition of how these Holidome's were run in the 1970s - get a vendor to run the hotdog stand, put in the putting green where it was 50 years ago, more plants, paint the ceiling, etc., I would imagine business would increase here. read more

This place has been rehabbed since the awful photos featured here. Our room was actually very nice. It was clean and comfortable. The one really great thing about this motel is the pool. It was the nicest pool I've been in in years. Now for the bad stuff. The computer in the lobby wouldn't connect to the internet, and no wonder. It had to be at least 17 years old, as it was running XP. No biggie. The wifi worked, but I prefer a nice monitor to my phone. The worst thing was the free breakfast. The only hot item was these make your own pancakes. Not even any eggs. They had only margarine and artificial coffee creamer. I guess if you know upfront about the breakfast, it might be worth staying there for the nice, warm pool, as long as you book it for pretty cheap. Choice has let the Quality brand become pretty low quality. We stayed at two other Quality Inns, the night before and the night after this one, and all three had issues. In all three cases, the rooms were totally acceptable, but other aspects of the places left much to be desired. read more

If I could leave negative star review I would!!!!One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in! The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke and stinky feet, the Indian one that checked us in had a horrible attitude and spoke so fast you couldn't understand one word, the so called security is some man that hangs around outside in regular clothes just smoking all day and night looking in everyone's cars as they walk in the hotel. The room was all outdated, bed was nothing to brag about, stained sheets, bathroom was not clean, pool was disgusting and had plaster coming up throughout the pool and it was so hot that you couldn't breathe, breakfast is only sugary muffins and a disgusting old and not washed waffle maker. Had other hotels not be booked up I would have rather paid $200 somewhere else.. I was really surprised that I didn't see get bed bugs. Overall spend your money somewhere else. Hotel is very very scary. Woman at front desk was nice but that was it. Was told to enter through hotel side door which remained unlocked all night. Room was clean but smelled as if a dead person was somewhere in the room. In the evening, I asked for two extra towels and a management fellow behind the front desk said "housekeeping is gone and there are no more towels, when I asked what time should I return for a towel he said, "I may be able to get you one and that was the last time I saw or heard from him". Where the outside door was unlocked a man was sleeping in his car all night with his car door open. Place reminded me of a level of hell. Will never return and won't return to the area for fear of my life. We left a day early because my wife was terrified. read more

This place should be avoided! Calling this a Convention Center is the equivalent of laying a piece of plywood on a pair of sawhorses and calling it a banquet table. It sits off the road in a poorly lit area and is badly in need of repairs and updating. We reserved a room with two beds and requested a rollaway for a week-end visit. Upon arrival we found no rollaway in the room. When we contacted the desk an extremely rude and agitated woman said the room was too small for a rollway and then changed her story to "none available". We did not choose the room and our reservation was made days in advance so neither excuse was valid. She informed me that we could sleep in the two beds. I have medical issues that make it necessary that I do not share a bed. It is certainly not the privilege of a hotel operator to dictate sleeping arrangements for guests. When pressed she demanded we leave or she would call the police. We told her we intended to stay and at that point a man approached the desk and allowed us to check in. We ended up sending one of the children to spend the night with a relative. Poor security is a big issue with the place. There was a lot of activity in the parking lot and a woman sitting behind the wheel of a car seemed to be passed out. The entry panel to the building did not work so anyone could access the building. The locking handle to a patio door that led to the atrium and pool area was broken and dangling from the door so there was no way to secure our room.. After one night we elected to not stay a second. When we checked out the clerk told us it was not possible to get a printed receipt. Now I know why. A day later an email came showing we were charged for both nights. This receipt that we were not allowed to see until after the fact contains policy information we were not provided at time of reservation, check in, or check out. We have complaints filed with the credit card company, Quality Inn offices, and the Choice Privileges Rewards Program. This place should be renamed the Poor Quality Inn. read more

Zero stars. We stopped here for one night with our grandparents who cannot walk very well and our toddler. There was no elevator, no air conditioning and we got lost right from the beginning because they gave us no direction even though we asked several times. It was insanely hot because of the pool. There was water all over the place. It was a long walk to our room and it was on the second floor, which was not ideal for our grandparents who had to climb stairs to get there. Once we got to the room it wasn't even ready. There were even carts inside with supplies on them. We took an exit that was closest which led to the side of the building and it was extremely sketchy. The whole place was honestly. I wouldn't doubt if there were lots of drugs going through the place honestly. A lot of weird activity from the guests there. We felt very unsafe. Once we finally got back to the receptionist desk we had to fight to get our deposit and payment back. Absolutely horrible experience. Do not use this place! I did not smoke in the room... I needed non-smoking room as fiance has asthma... If I wanted to smoke in a room, I would have asked for a smoking room. Called back to speak with manager but they didn't want to talk with me, got sent to voicemail... Left message but no call back... Called 1-800# for Choice Hotels/Quality Inn but they didn't help... Desk clerk will never get voted "Miss Congeniality." Brusque to point of rude. Room is clean, nothing special though with bed saggy. Commitment to Your Satisfaction card on bed ("Value Qs for You") states: "Q Breakfast -- Start your day right with a **complimentary** (emphasis added) hot, fresh and healthy breakfast." Breakfast buffet in restaurant is $4.99. Miss Uncongeniality at front desk said," Yeah, that's at other properties -- we have our own kitchen here." There is a great deal of road noise from adjacent freeway. Ice machine is out of order. This is the lowest quality Quality Inn we've ever stayed at. I just left this hotel today 7/24/2016 I was ok with the fact it is a budget hotel, and the front desk was nice when we checked in, but when I was in the shower this morning and the ceramic soap dish fell off the wall onto my toes I told the front desk my foot was hurt from the hard dish falling on my foot in the shower and we didn't get any apolitical words or acts just a copy of our bill. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels because of my job and never had this happen. Very unexceptable! Also the wifi did not work it only worked in the lobby. Do not stay here if you are allergic to smoke because the entire place smells of smoke and employees smoke right outside the door you one in and out of. read more

literally thee WORST hotel experience I've had. The place is dirty, pool had some weird stuff in it, we had bugs in our room...the whole Place is outdated and filthy. My sister and I came to Ohio to visit a college with my niece for 2 days. We left the next day because we couldn't deal with the place. All other hotels close to the school were booked so we chose this one. The receptionist was amazing, as well as one of the night staff workers in trying to make us as comfortable as possible. First problem, our first roomHad the biggest bug on the curtain and the window wouldn't close. So they moved us into a 2nd room, where Waste keep coming up into the toilet, that wasn't ours and sewage kept coming up into the tub. At this point we're exhausted and wanted to go to sleep. The assistant manager, John, wasn't on site that night and literally avoided us the next day. We called booking.com and he avoided their calls. By the time we got in touch with him, they charged us for the 2nd day because it was past check out time, even though we couldn't get in contact with the manager and decided to leave after the first night. Once we tried to get a refund on our room, the receptionist called him to the desk and he stated "he doesn't deal with those issues and we'd have to wait until the manager can in later that week." We're from chicago, so that wasn't possible. I'm not sure how someone has a management position and doesn't want to manage. I'm posting this review everywhere because of the lack of service and concern they had for our issues. I'll be reporting them to the BBB, and I'll make sure my sister gets her refund. This is a place you want to avoid. I feel sorry for the front desk clerk who had to try and resolve our issue, but most of it was out of her control because the assistant manager refused to deal with it. I hope once we get in contact with the manager, he'll listen to our issues...if it, it's going straight to the owner. People need to learn to quit taking people's money and feel and treat them as if they're doing us a favor. read more

This was literally the worse hotel stay I've ever endured. There were mouse traps behind the fridge and microwave; guests were in the parking lot playing loud music until the wee hours of the morning, and the staff didn't' do anything but suggest they move to the other end of the parking lot because she didn't want to stop them from "chillin'." the night that I was able to get somewhat of a decent rest, I was awaken to a fire alarm around 5-6AM. After I frantically tried to decide what to grab before leaving the room, I noticed a staff member and she advised, "the alarm had been pulled as a prank." Beyond my sheets smelling like sweaty socks, the possible bed bug bite and the run down, horrifying smelling shuttle van, I endured visual abuse when I was devastated by half nude women taking to the halls. DO NOT STAY HERE! I am a coordinator for a travel TV show and I have never had such a horrible experience. After my crew arrived at the hotel they immediately wanted to check out due to cleanliness issues (ie: stained sheets, nasty carpets, cigarette burns in non smoking rooms...). The general manager got on the phone and claimed to be a guy named "Michael" and threatened to cancel my convention center reservation (which we put a deposit on) because the crew was checking out. After blackmailing us into staying at the hotel (because we needed the convention center), on the day of check out my entire crew got BED BUGS! Long story short, they forced us into staying there knowing that we needed the convention center, and my crew suffered because of it. Later when I called back to discuss the matter, the same general manager answered the phone and claimed to be "Laurence." Whoever was talking to me LIED about his name to cover up his ass. Hotel is just too hot and humid, in the halls and pool area, that's actually most of the hotel. A/c in rooms and bar are excellent. Door 2 is messed up, you can get out but, you can't get in, even with your card. Expensive bar, Long walk from our room to bar. Dogs cost $20 extra per night, per dog. All dogs are booked on 2nd floor. No elevators. You have to ask for a fridge and hope they have one that works. Red roof inn is much cooler. They do not charge more for dogs & they will put you on the 1st floor. But they don't have a bar. They do serve a hot breakfast. All rooms have a big fridge & a microwave. read more

Have you seen the movie "Cedar Rapids" before? This place might well have been the template for the hotel in that film. I'm sure it was a modern and updated place in the early 90s. The conference center part is big, open, with a pool and a game room and an atrium restaurant. The color scheme is very early 90s. It all looks like a page out of a hotel interior design book from 20 years ago - nearly textbook fake-y. BUT, even though it's a bit worn and the rooms facing the atrium have weird glass door/window things (that can, thankfully, be fully covered with curtains), it's a good little hotel. The restaurant looked a bit sketchy, but after a long day of travel we just wanted to eat. And, lo and behold, it was very good! Not fancy good or amazing good, but solidly tasty and well-prepared food. Our waitress was about 17 and looked bored, but was attentive and polite. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and neat. For a non-too-fancy hotel, it ticked all the boxes. My 2 complaints: 1) the heater - a next-to-window unit that mostly just blew the hot air straight onto my husband all night. Uncomfortable. 2) Our room was near the entrance to the atrium, which has a fire door entry/exit. Whenever anyone went through we heard the SLAM (it had no handle or padded closure aspect. Not a good first impression when the hurried front desk clerk barely exchanged words with us and then tossed the room key in our direction. I thought I could give the place a fresh-faced second chance once getting to the room but the first thing I noticed was the sour laundry funk smell of the entire room. Everything was alright and about what I'd expected considering the service we'd received. It's an okay place if you only need to stay one night but I'd spring for the Marriott if I were you. I use Choice Hotels about 90% of the time and this was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. I would give a 0 star rating if possible. The entire front of the heater fell off when I turned it on. I put it back on and it fell off again. The room didn't have a blow dryer as advertised. There were at least two signs saying to dial 0 if there was a problem. I couldn't dial zero because the phone only had static. I called the hotel directly on my cell and it just rang and rang. I was on the far opposite side of the front desk so I had to walk all the way across. The mirror had brown rust like spots all over it! I thought maybe I could relax and take a bath after being so irritated but the tub wouldn't hold water. I decided to take a quick shower and noticed mold on the shower curtain and the ceiling over the shower. The ice bucket had what appeared to be mold as well. There was also a rip in the wallpaper just outside the bathroom. I finally went to bed and when I turned off the lights it was still bright in the room because the vinyl curtains had hundreds of pin holes to let in light. Oh, the pool was disgusting! The paint was peeling off the steps and it had something floating in it. The bed was comfortable but the pillows smelled like sweat and needed washed! Very dirty and unpleasant. Hot tub looked like it has not worked in months and the pool looked like it is about to bust apart. The rooms stink and only had about 2 outlets in the entire room that would hold a plug in it to charge a phone. When asked for extra towels cause the pool was completely out of them it took almost 3 hours to get them. The shower was spraying water from behind the wall so there was no water pressure to even take a shower. Doing a cross country vacation trip and enjoying staying at other quality inns, this place is a total dump and not a place i will be looking up again to stay at. My advive to other travelers is steer way away from this place till it gets torn down and rebuilt. Such a SHAME to have the Quality Inn name!!!!!!!!!! read more

Boy o boy where do I begin? During check in the front desk staff was in an argument with a customer. She rudely handled us. Gave us our room key and said nothing else. We just waited there because she still had our I.d. She rudely said "what else do you need" we told her our I.d. and she tossed it on the counter. It gets worse. The outside doors are all unlocked. ANYONE can come in here. It's very ghetto and sketchy here. Constantly seeing drug trades in the lot. Hallways reek of Marijuana and our room smelled like stale smoke. The room was absolutely filthy. Very dusty and grungy. The curtains are stained and the carpet was sticky. Our sheets and comforter we're stained and the sink was rusted and chipped. The shower doesn't drain and they only gave us two towels. They advertise a complimentary breakfast but then charge you $5 per person. The pool is disgusting, the arcade games don't work, the whole place is seriously in need of renovations. It looks like it's straight out of the 90s. They don't even give you a fridge. Another example of corperat and personal greed. No money or repairs being put into this hotel. The beds are ancient. The faucet for the sink wasnt secured to the fixture. Found dead bed bugs and marks from them in the first room. The hot tub only has 5 jets and they are not directional so all it does is hit your but. Stained carpets and cielings. Ceilings have dust bunnies hanging from them. Pealing paint and wall paper. I have photos of everything. 160 bucks a nite plus tax its a joke. Should have slept in my car. This was the only hotel that had a room so i was stuck. No breakfast either. Also the place is a maze to try to navigate and both ice mach8nes are broken. You have to go to the bar to get ice. The worst Quality Inn I've stayed at. First there is no elevator. So no first floor rooms have to be on 2. Elderly couple in front of us had a hard time getting luggage up the stairs. The poor woman has bad knees. My husband has bad back. How is this ADA compliant? So we picked this hotel because it had a restaurant and a bar. We could relax get a beer have dinner and never have to leave the hotel. Well the restaurant was not open, the bar was not open. other customers were asking about dinner and leaving in a huff. Receptionist rude and could tell she didn't want to be bothered. we finally left to go get dinner and come back. we wanted a soda, soda machine is out of order, the change machine is out of order. We go to check out the hot tub and it's full of 7 to 8 kids, the pool is full of kids and they're screaming splashing yelling and it's inside. So forget the relaxing hot tub. We gave up and went to bed. I chose this hotel for the amenities and there were None!! I could've saved $20 because the room was nothing special. I'd been better off at Red Roof or one of the other hotels. This is definitely not up to Quality Inn standards. read more
