The front desk, the housekeepers, and kitchen staff have all shown a personal interest in making our stay comfortable. We travel to Calallen frequently for family, and this is the perfect location. It's right at Five Points, with easy access to IH-69 and IH-37. There are lots of restaurant choices even in walking distance. The hotel has changed hands a few times over the years, and the current management is the best one yet. They have made sure the property is clean and in good condition. The turn off of the interstate is slightly weird, in that you have to navigate a service road that has yield signage. Yet after making that quick right and left turn, you are in the parking lot. The room itself seemed to have been upgraded/renovated within the last couple of years, and was remarkably clean and comfortable. If I had one complaint, it may have been the pillows-very small. They were almost like Chicklet-sized. Oh well. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn-style continental- just enough. The pool onsite is indoors, and located on the first floor just beyond the elevators. Excellent customer service from check-in to check-out. Will certainly return when in Corpus Christi!
