NEW NAME IS: Lake Mead INN The evening of Easter Sunday 2026, after a long exhausting day which began at 4am, we fell fast asleep before 8pm.  10:30pm someone was pounding on our door yelling "open the door", who's in there", "what's your name". Was it a husband looking for his cheating wife, or maybe a person high on drugs, we had no idea. My husband looked through the peep hole, never saw the oriental man before, and asked what was going on. In poor English and in anger, the man just kept saying "open the door" and "what's your name".  My husband opened the door and said, "you must have the wrong room", "I don't know you", "I'm not giving you my name", and finally "go away". The man left, but we slept lightly after that, waking at every little sound. In the morning my husband went to the office to report the incident and was told that our room was rented to someone else and when they came to the room they found the door latched from the inside. (we were out cold and didn't even hear them trying to enter our room) They said that the office records indicated the room was vacant. So the man was employed by the hotel and it was a software error or an office error, but how did that situation require such an abrupt angry response TOWARDS US, paying guests? It was an extremely inappropriate and unprofessional way to handle THEIR problem. Even the explanation he gave was given without apology and with an angry attitude.  My husband asked when the manager was coming in and said he'd be back then, at 10am, to talk with him about the situation and a refund. We packed and loaded our luggage into the car, but left our food in the fridge to stay cool while we drove to a few local spots we were unable to visit the day before.  We had the room until 11am and planned to be back by 10am for the talk and after that we'd get our food and head home. We arrived back a little after 9:30am, the manager was there, his attitude was cold and uncaring but he told the oriental man to apologize. The man said that he already said he was sorry and wasn't going to say it again. The manager said he'd take $40.00 dollars off our bill, and we left to get our food from the room. We found the door to our room wide open. The woman that cleaned was in the bathroom. My husband asked why she was in our room, it was our room until 11am, we hadn't checked out yet, then he opened the fridge and asked where our other bag of food was. She mumbled something but it wasn't in English. The bag was no longer tied shut as we had left it, but opened, and in the bathroom with her. She handed it to me and we left. When we got home I opened the food container and found food was missing and there were 2 small bites missing from my chicken breast.  The $40.00 refund didn't even cover the cost of the leftover food we had to through out. For these reasons we will never go back there.  As for a regular review of the hotel:  We used this hotel last year and the young man was the same man that checked us in then. So, he was not new at his job, I don't think the error was made by him, the receipt he gave us had the room number on it and check in went fine.   We knew that the rooms were not high quality. The price was not low but it was the lowest near the area we wanted to be in. The location is great and we had a busy weekend planned so the room was just a place to shower and sleep. The first thing I'll mention is that the grounds were not cared for in a very long time. Their "desert rocks" landscaping, which is everywhere, had more knee high weeds than rocks! The cracks in the cement walkway to our room were filled with rabbit droppings and healthy weeds. The outside areas were definitely not this bad last year. The inside of the room was as we expected with sloppy paint smears and splatters throughout the room. The floor had carpet squares which are easy to replace if they get stained, yet beside the dining table two squares had a huge stain and we're not replaced. Adhered to the shower wall are pump containers of shampoo conditioner and body wash. The shampoo was orange, and there was orange shampoo still on the wall of the shower from a previous user.  The furnishings are old and the night stand had a ring stain from someone placing something very hot on it. You can't login to your Netflix account because the hotel did not wish to pay the provider the $2.00 extra per room so guests could access this service. This review platform is limited to 5000 characters so I have to stop. Next year we'll spend the extra for a nicer room, but more importantly, for management and staff that understand that paying guests are the reason they have a job. read more

Scary place for women! And now they call themselves Lake Mead Motel. Arrived late at night. First room, the tub didn't drain. How can you clean a tub and not notice that? Worse after that they gave me a key to an OCCUPIED room. Imagine arriving late as a women traveling alone with a young girl and be given the key to a room already occupied. I'm lucky I wasn't shot or worse waking someone up like that. And to add insult to injury. The manager got upset with me as if I wanted to try my luck with an occupied room. And apparently, if you stay here, it's your fault for not immediately checking that the tub drains. Terrible. I used to like this place for being clean and convenient. Something changed. The whole time I was worried they'd give someone else the key to my room. Don't stay here. read more

It was hard to find the sign from the street, but listening to the gps, it didn't take too long. Front desk staff was very accommodating, checked in with appropriate information quickly. Our request for a parking lot level room was granted! The parking lot side was a street level and the balcony overlooking the lake was on the second floor. Room is a typical lower cost motel, better than many I've seen over the years. The AC worked well and kept us comfortable during the stay. Nice size refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and microwave were all in the room. Noticing that this property allows pets, I hoped my allergies wouldn't kick in, but I didn't notice a thing. Great location, easy access, and killer views make this a win. Booking directly with the hotel got us a better price than any of the internet sites that I saw, like $40 cheaper! And the free wi-fi signal was pretty strong. read more

Not a Quality Inn anymore and frankly the worst room and pricing policy I have ever experienced. Published rate was $110 but we were charged $250, explanation was we are almost full and its the weekend! No mention of this policy on line, complete bait and switch, this is very deceptive! The room had holes in the wall, holes in the door, the bathroom door would not open fully because it hit the toilet, the sliding door would not lock making the room insecure and it was very dark with a musty smell!! An absolutely horrible experience, the worst ever for the price of a suite!!! read more

We rented 2 rooms here wanting to get away from the busyness of Vegas and the area around the airport-just for a night before we drove to Arizona. We weren't looking for luxury-just somewhere to sleep for the night. So dated, which wouldn't be the end of the world if it was clean. No such luck. Mold creeping out the sides of the shower mat, sink cracked and dirty, something resembling a poop stain on the wall by the bed. Beds horribly creaky and uncomfortable. Where do I begin??? Overpriced. Unsafe. Barely ADA compliant. I requested a handicapped accessible room over two weeks ago. The mgt responded with an email stating my requests would be fulfilled. I couldn't even bathe due to the lack of accessibility. And, I needed someone to lift my knee cart over the curb to get from the parking lot to the room, which was a dangerous trek due to the rocks. We booked a room with a lake view. Do you see one? I asked for a change, but staff said the place was full. There is little lighting where we park, if you can find a place to park. The lot is unmarked. There are no plug sockets near the bed, and the one my son used on the opposite wall shorted out the cord and charger. There is no way that this place is worth the money we paid, in full. And, I will be reporting this property to the ADA. UPDATE: They charged my card $500 after I paid for the room in cash. It's what to expect nothing more nothing less. Very convenient near Lake Mead and Bootleg Canyon. The staff is amazing and friendly that is a big plus plus. You can tell they are slowly fixing up the property. The Wifi was down no big deal. The issue is the Pet owner traveler. This is pet friendly hotel and on request they have Pet free rooms. The management must put a stop to pet owners taking their dog out to use the grass and back dirt lot to relieve themselves. An overwhelming amount of dog poop and extremely odor in common area. Its so unfortunate that pet owners don't have common sense. Side of property broken water sprinkler systems watering the pavement amd driveway. Sad to see wasted water. Management please improve the area with designated dog area and encourage pet guest with doggie poop bags. Overall great location and friendly staff . read more

Will recommend this Quality Inn to anyone who shares similar travel plan at Las Vegas and we got value-added experience, we saw a big group of Big Horn Sheep eating grass 5mins walk away from the hotel, we fed the seagull, duck and fish at Lake Mead, just 10mins drive away from the Quality Inn. Remember to ask the staff for suggestions and you will get added value to your stay at Las Vegas like us. We stayed at the motel for 3nights. Our plan was to visit 3 places and return to LA in 4days. 1. Hoover Dam(15mins Drive from Quality Inn) 2. Downtown LV (26mins Drive from Quality Inn) and 3. Grand Canyon(2hours Drive from Quality Inn) The hotel location is perfect for those goals and at good price with spacious room, comfortable mattress and fast-asleep down blanket and pillowssss. With simple buffet breakfast provided. Make sure you arrive at the lobby before 9:30am in the morning or the breakfast will be closed... we missed our first morning breakfast as we got there at 9:45am. read more

Pulled in late at around 10pm after hiking Humphrey's heading back to Vegas. Gentleman at the counter got me squared away with a ground level room in a matter of minutes, exactly what I needed to crash instantly. Walked in and noticed a jacuzzi next to the bed. Fancy stuff. I think this place is under new management. Base on the previous reviews the place was unkept. However when we checked in here,we were surprised that the room we were assigned to was decent and clean. The facade of the buildings may throw you off coz it definitely needs painting but the rooms are good. They gave a good view too of the lake and the place is just serene. The a/c was off when we checked in on a 100°+ day; even though, we had called ahead to let them know we'd be checking in late. That made the room unbearable for hours. The faucet in the bathroom ran scalding hot before running cold - not a great feature with kids. The door to the adjoining room was unlocked, as was the patio door when we arrived. Overall, not a great experience. * The office is located in a separate building away from the rooms, which is inconvenient. Breakfast all seemed to be microwaved. read more

Disgusting with a capital D. Property is horrible inside and out. Dirty, beat up and no WiFi in room even after asking front desk for help. I think they just make the beds between guests and don't strip linens and launder. Pulled back the covers and sheets were covered in black hair. All night the people above paced the floors back and forth like they were preparing for a marathon. It's as if they haven't cleaned or done any repairs or maintenance in years...just seems lazy. It looks much better than the motel on the dam, which is pretty much on the freeway. My only complaint would be the neighbor above who walked around the room all night. Some glitch happened and the reservation did not click with Quality Inn's system when I booked on Hotels.com, but John was incredibly empathetic and helpful in connecting me with Hotels.com representative in order to arrange a refund (normally not allowed on the day of reservation) and helped booked two new rooms for me so that there was no delay what so ever during my Thanksgiving road trip Will definitely revisit next time I'm in the area! First, you get what you pay for. In this case, pay a little more and get a better place to stay. The room is large, the pool area, although very small, is nice and clean. But the room leaves a lot to be desired. The bed feels like a bag of springs. No way it's newer than 15 years. The shower doesn't work. Zero pressure, has 2 settings, cold and scalding, nothing in between, and the shower won't even turn off completely so you could take a bath. They might as well not advertise a breakfast of any kind for what it is. Now the location is great if you are here to see Hoover dam. The staff was nice. But do yourself a favor and spend $30 more and get a place that has updated the accommodations during this century. Won't be coming back. read more

My family and I rolled up at 2 am from a long drive into town and were greeted by the amazing Paul! He was very helpful and got us situated quickly so we could all rest. Excellent customer service! The check in was perfect, very nice and efficient gentleman, but went down hill from there. Walkways in front of ground floor rooms were filthy, plastic chairs in front of rooms were disgusting. Walked our dog up by a table outside the pool area and the chairs were absolutely unusable, totally sun baked (not surprisingly) but why were they still there? Nothing left of them to sit on. Total lack of caring. The room was about as expected, considering the price. This was an emergency stop and I wiped down most everything with wipes. Found some things I didn't want to see. Stayed here for 5 days and you know what? I enjoyed my stay. I wanted to be away from the strip and all the hustle and bustle. The hotel is near Lake Mead and you can see the lake from there. For those expecting a lot...don't come here. You get what you pay for. If I wanted to stay here at this hotel all day for 5 days..I wouldn't....I didn't stay to live here...I stayed just to sleep. Normally I'd wait until check out to write a hotel review. But considering where I'm staying there is a chance I may not be here in the morning. First I'd say the Choice Hotels I've stayed at have ranged from very nice to crack houses. The Quality Inn here in Boulder City is just above "crack house" on my rating scale. We travel with our dog, so naturally we pay a little more for the pet room. This place was great... The carpets were pre-stained so I didn't have to worry about my dog making a mess. The lawn in front of the room was clearly marked with two piles of dog poop as the pet area. I think the shower mat was holding the tub together. And the bullet hole in the doorframe was a nice touch. A good friend of mine once rated a similar hotel as "a good place to bring a prostitute." Having spent only $75.00 on this room, I'm gonna have some extra money for that hooker! read more

We just stayed 2 times at this hotel around the 4th of July. First, our room key to the didn't work. There was no toilet paper in the room. I called the front desk. She said she was the only one working, so I had to come pick up the toilet paper. Our balcony had dried mud all over it. The breakfast was ok. There is very little seating. The woman who refilled the food would only put a little out when there was a huge crowd. We also noticed a piece of floating bread in the pool. The entry and stair area of our room was spotted with spills of multicolored paint. Not pretty! The only good thing in the view. read more

My fiancé and I arrived late last night. We pulled up to check in at 1020PM and were checked in with ease. No hang ups or issues, the guy up front was really nice and helpful. We were exhausted. We just wanted to sleep after driving 5 hours. When we opened the door to the room, the first thing we noticed was the pile of trash sitting on the floor. Apparently, housekeeping forgot to take the trash with them. After walking into the room past the trash, we turned on the lights. One of the lamps wouldn't turn on, only to find that it was missing a lightbulb. Even further, the table and chairs were not set in a manner in which they had been cleaned. They were sitting in the middle of the room, small pieces of trash on the table as well. The floor wasn't vacuumed as there were, again, small pieces of trash on the floor. The shower nozzle used to turn on the water wouldn't twist properly to make the water warm...instead, the nozzle was loose and in order to change the water temperature, the screw in the middle had to be held down tightly and turned slowly with the nozzle. I would have complained instantly, but I just wanted to sleep and I feared I'd lose my cool if I went to talk to someone about the room at that point. The room was filthy, unkempt, and a huge disappointment for the price of a night. I will NEVER stay here at this hotel again. read more

If you want a stressful vacation and have to come home early because the lady chooses to not listen to the customer and kept asking me to swipe my card & then on top of it lie they were going to be sending information to my fax to release a hold that shouldn't have been placed in the first place. This hotel was okay. It seemed as if the sheets on one of the beds had not been changed when we checked in, or if they had, they were permanently stained. The table and chairs blocked the a/c. The room seemed poorly lit and dingy. The wifi was very bad, and the TV reception was awful. We checked the connections, but that did not help. Very few channels, too. The pool was icy. The guest laundry room was a nice amenity. Breakfast was nice, very clean and well-stocked. The front desk staff were great. Offered us free bottles of water at both check in and check out. read more

I was hesitant on staying.. A number of years ago I had a second home at the Spanish steps next door. It was the best western back then.I would book a couple of rooms for my over flow of guests. We would enjoy boating on Lake Mead. I am a platinum member with Marriott and travel extensively. When I arrived. Chris at the front desk greeted us so friendly. A gal named Sandy could not have been more helpful and kind. The rooms are old .. But extremely clean. Sheets crisp and clean. Slept great! A great place to stay with family! After being on the lake all day, the kids enjoyed the pool ! While we were BBQ.They also have rooms designated for people traveling with pets! Great waffles! Pros: nice room, fairly clean, nice balcony with partial view of the lake. Cons: Horrible TV blasting away in the lobby/breakfast room. While in the check-in line, I was forced to listen to politicians calling each other names. Upon request, employee did mute it. Then next morning, the two women working the breakfast bar were loving watching some old movie. Really, at 7 AM?? There were only two of us in the room, one guy reading a newspaper and me reading news online on my iPad. When will places like this realize that silence is good, too. Seemed like the TV was for the employees, ignoring the wishes of customers who prefer to quietly converse with family members, or use their devices with earbuds to get whatever news or movies they want. True, this pet peeve of mine applies to many motel breakfast rooms, including Best Western. It's up to us to educate these places. read more

Do yourself a favor look somewhere else to stay the night. This place was easy to get to from the Hoover Dam so of course after a long hot day we wanted to stay here. Family and I booked 2 rooms. Paid about 140 a room. It has your basic needs but this place was extremely dirty. The bathroom was never cleaned pubic hair everywhere and the bathtub was worse. The carpets left my bare feet black . Glad I brought my own pillows and blankets because their sheets and pillows had a lot of stains. For a Quality Inn this place was shit. read more

This is by far the worst place i ever stayed. Room had a tissue between the sheets. Not sure if they were changed or not. Reserved a king bed a week in advance and recieved 2 queen beds. They consider this to be a upgrade, really. The lady christine at front desk was very rude ,and offered to cancell my reservations when the whole town is booked. The slider door on patio does not lock. A/c blows luke warm air. We would have been just as well off camping at lake mead. This place reminds me of the motels we would stay at when we were in highschool. And they have a 3 1/2 star rateing. I would bever recommend this place to anyone except a demolition crew. read more

We paid $70 for one night, in late September. For this area, that's pretty darn good. The 3 staff members we met were all polite. The room was clean, not smelling of stale smoke. It was a very spacious room at the end of the building, bigger than most in hotels of this type. It even had a balcony. There were no broken tiles or bad paint, or dingy shower curtains, like you sometimes see in budget hotels with well-known names. Typical basic breakfast, but did have eggs, and a waffle maker. The only suggestion I have is that they improve the lighting in the back area. It was hard to see the stairs. C'mon people, "the large towels were barely bigger than the hand towels"??? you aren't going to get 5-star pampering and entertainment from a small hotel. Except for the friendly staff I'd give this place one star! It was really bare bones and not that inexpensive. We were on the way to Lake Mead for a day of fishing and sightseeing at Hoover Dam (both great trips by the way!) The hotel was a major disappointment. I've stayed in lots of Best Westerns in out of the way places (and this isn't so out of the way!) and they are generally quite nice. The mattress in our room was awful, old, lumpy, bumpy---we could barely sleep. The sheets and towels were paper thin. No amenities. I would recommend staying anywhere but here! read more

This was way overpriced, definitely not got what I paid for. Safety issues We stayed on the 3rd floor, the railing on our balcony was completely loose, I was afraid to lean on it for fear of falling. The smoke detector in our room was hanging off the wall with duct tape on it that was no longer holding it to the wall. When talking to staff they did not seem to care that they had a potential lawsuit on their hands should there be a fire or someone were to let their child out on the balcony. General complaints -The wifi did not work. -The door was not sealed properly, light was clearly visible. -There were only 10 stations on the tv and they were all fuzzy. -The bed was very lumpy and the large towels were barely bigger than the hand towels. -The front desk staff was not friendly at all almost to the point of rude. ******The cleaning staff was very pleasant. The check in process was painful. The Internet was not working. I was told to move around my room to gain access to the Internet while all the time their network was down. I was mislead and talked down to concerning the Internet situation. This 65 years old non-geek knew more than they did. The bathroom sink had toothpaste spit on it from the last guest. read more

Originally I was 'bout ready to give them an 8, despite the leaky ceilings in the lobby, which we saw the night before. Then we went to breakfast and I guess they ran out of eggs, one of the other customers asked the cook for eggs.. She, the clerk, was complaining aloud that she had put 7 out previously, she ended up getting more eggs for the customers anyway. Not very good attitude for people staying at your hotel. read more

The hotel is missing lots of modern day accommodations like no microwave, no fine dining, breakfast food options isn't as good but needs major help. There are no entertainment venues to see other than Lake Mead recreational area, no shopping centers close by, customer service is ok, the room I booked smelled like cigarettes. The days I stayed there, there were no activity going on. Would not recommend this to anyone. read more

Just visited Lake Mead and stayed here. Great location. Its not fancy but they do allow dogs and we travel with our 2. Rooms are clean, staff was very nice. Pool super clean and they have a continental bfast that was a nice touch. Super close to the lake. Will definitely stay again. read more

Some decent views of the lake, but not great because of the apartments down hill. Carpet could use cleaning, but, again, it's what I'd expect for the price, location, and age of the hotel. read more

Run down. Carpet was stained & dirty looking. The room was shaped awkward. The bathroom door barely cleared the toilet, so it was hard to get out once in there. There was an unidentified dead beetle on the floor. All that being said the hotel staff were decently courteous & the "free" breakfast was OK. read more
