Following the abuse, our oldest was extremely resistant to us needing to leave her at any daycare due to the trauma of her previous experiences. Ms. Laura was beyond patient and understanding and over the course of the several weeks helped my daughter heal and grow past her experience. I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are; Laura has been so compassionate and caring to our two girls, I cannot recommend her enough. We are moving our girls to a larger daycare to take advantage of Colorado's universal pre-k program, otherwise we would be staying with Laura for another year until Kindergarten started.

My son was in Laura's care from the time he was 2 until he went to kindergarten. Laura provides kind, attentive, and affordable childcare in a safe, pleasant, and clean environment. I always knew my son was safe and happy in her care, and even though he was sad when I would leave, I always picked him up to see a huge smile on his face from getting to play and do learning activities all day. Never once did anything scary or concerning happen like I had experienced with other providers, and her in-home care gave my son (and me) the feeling of being cared for by a family member rather than dropping him off to a room of 20 kids with a constant turn over in staff. Another huge plus was that he was sick MUCH less often than in a larger daycare setting. Laura is fully licensed and follows all rules and guidelines to a T, and her care was also reimbursable through submitting receipts to my work's FSA (if you have an FSA option for healthcare). I can't recommend Laura highly enough! She is excellent and if she has a spot open for your little, you should take it!!

(So you never know really what your child is doing if you want to track progress or continue work at home.) Additionally, I will never forget the attitude of the kindergarten teacher, when I went to ask the front desk for the up to date information of daily curriculum. I'm sorry to say, but if that is the attitude you have towards an adult (treating engaging parents as enemies instead of team players) I can only imagine what my cheerful child had to endure while in your classes. The damage done by this teacher is irreparable, and I feel remorse that I didn't pay close attention to my child behavior sooner (some of the inconsistencies were brushed aside for awhile, just for the sake of giving this "school" a chance). Luckily we managed to move to a public school, where my child is thriving. If your child is cheerful and inquisitive, please save yourself and the child from being heart broken. Additionally, well rounded education and building knowledge does not mean that kids should not be cheerful or that education should not be fun and the exercises/acivities should not be diversified.

Used to be great - ran well, teachers were happy, great communication...and then everything went…read moresouth. The former principal left a few years ago leading to total disarray at this school - teachers left, were fired, and we all suffered. Then we were sold on this new principal Danell - a trove of glorified qualifications. But her actions were the contrary. She enabled faulty policies, communicated poorly and hid very questionable practices from the parents. Sound familiar, Douglas County? She ran this place into the ground and enrollment suffered. AND THEN WHAT!? We just received a 6 month notice that it is closing, leaving families to scramble for wait lists elsewhere, many which exceed 6 months. I hope this joke of a woman's new employer finds out what happened here. I feel bad for all families impacted and to those great teachers there that hopefully will find continued employment elsewhere. Danell Chijioke is the epitome of what is wrong with the education system and the broader world today. Qualified for nothing but a few badges promote her to the top.

I thought it couldn't be difficult to find something similar...? We did a in person tour of Merryhill with my mom and I and it was very similar to Montessori so I was SOLD! Long story short, 3 weeks... 6 mistakes. They weren't just any ordinary mistakes they were mistakes that proved my daughter is just another number to them. The communication is a 0/10 and if you're gonna have a school, with my toddler who can't communicate then you should be on top of it! And then not only the obvious, I'm paying you good money... for what? My daughter is very sensitive to whole milk and her immune system shuts down so she drinks almond milk, they asked that I not bring almond milk I said no problem then she can have water at school and milk at home. They were giving her milk everyday even after I addressed them 4 times not to... one day she came home in someone else's diaper (she doesn't wear diapers, she wears pull ups) she's in the middle of potty training and not once did they potty train her at school. She then came home in her pull up but OH WAIT it gets better, someone else's diaper UNDER HER PULL-UP! I had tried to voice my concerns on multiple occasions and I was either ignored or looked at like a deer in headlights with no answers or solutions. I then notified them through the app it was her last day so please send her home with everything in her cubby and of course someone decided to call me FINALLY to have a conversation. Too little, too late. To say I was unhappy with my experience is a understatement. Never introduced me to my two year olds teachers, I'm not even a little sorry of my review. I know what a great preschool entails and this is not even close. I should of been pulled aside with my daughters teachers, discussed solutions, apologizing for all the mistakes in such a little time but NOPE I went to them every single time with no response back. P.S. When pick up is going on, hold the toddlers hand while walking them out! Thanks.

Disclaimer: This is NOT about the current staff but about the owners of the facility…read more Aamer & Iram Masood, Shame on you. Shame on you for calling yourselves business owners and shame on you for claiming to care about the staff, children and parents in your facility. When I first brought my child here I was immediately welcomed by the directors of the facility. The CURRENT staff in leadership, front desk and early preschool/preschool classes (I cannot speak for the infant classes but I have never had a bad interaction with them either) are your ONLY saving grace. You have consistently neglected the building care (dirty carpet, repainting, tile repairs), supplies teachers need for their jobs, toys & activities for the kids, made parents bring their children's own meals (without discounting rates) and are either understaffed or under trained your newcomers. You yourself don't even set foot in your own business more than a few times a year in the 2 years we have been there I have NEVER seen you. People do not leave their jobs they leave terrible managers and ownership. In this case its the ownership. Obviously I don't know all the details but this is my experience. With your license currently under probation (again) you have failed to rectify these issues time and time again. Expecting parents to pick up their children on a dime when you are out of compliance or overburdening your staff with too many children with no alternative solutions. You have taken zero accountability for your actions (or lack there of). While I'm sure you have been in contact and under contract for Highpointe Academy to take ownership for some time now you have chosen to NOT tell parents or staff you were closing operations until the last possible second. A three day notice. What a fucking JOKE. You have not offered severance to your employees, alternative care options for parents or even a contact number to address parents grievances. You are cowards. You clearly do not care how this impacts the families that are providing you with an income and made sure your pockets would be lined to the very end. All the while leaving parents who depend on YOU scramble to find care before Monday, unable to vet them appropriately, unable to budget, unable to even TOUR places in some cases but most importantly taking away the stability and relationships our children have made with the staff that has loved and cared for them like family. I have and will be making complaints to the Department of children services regarding your license as well as to the BBB on (all) if your LLCs. since you have chosen to hide.

I haven't had any issues with the app and it's almost always updated throughout the day, very rarely have I noticed a meal/snack/bottle was missed in the daily log. This also might seem weird to compliment, but I really love the fact that they have male staff here. It's always irritated me that most daycare centers are 100% women...representation matters and I feel very strongly that having men and women in a childcare setting is important for a child's development. I also really like that they have ties to the elementary schools nearby so they'll be able to help us navigate those decisions when the time comes. Highly recommend this place to anyone living in Castle Pines!
