Vermicelli with Turmeric Spiced Grilled Catfish & Fresh Sautéed Dill -- Bún Cá Thì Là
    Mindy L.

I Placed An Order Through DoorDash. All Of My 'Special Requests' Were Followed & Everything Was Packed Neatly. Two Thumbs Up!! I Tried The Vermicelli with Turmeric Spiced Grilled Catfish & Fresh Sautéed Dill (Bún Cá Thì Là). The Shrimp Sauce Was Too Thick For My Taste, But The Catfish Was Flavorful.

I've been here so many times over the years and I don't know why we don't frequent this location more than their sister location (Quan Hy). If you like Quan Hy, this is their sister location, which has more parking and less crowded and less crazy, easier to dine in. And, the best part is the service here is one of the best at any Vietnamese restaurant, or any Asian establishment! The level of service here is so authentic, sincere, fast, on point, and so kind! Food is good, or may I say, some of the dishes taste much better here than at Quan Hy! I would really highly recommend you try them out if you frequent Quan Hy because Quan Hop, this one, offers a more personal experience and you get the same type of items on the menu and some of them taste even better at the other more popular location!

Large parking lot, spacious restaurant. Was empty when we walked in. The food I ordered was ok. Nothing spectacular. Service was good. Prices were $15-17 per bowl. Mines was $16 Not sure if I'd come back.

Absolutely delicious, whether a Vietnamese food OG or a newbie, everything was cooked to perfect perfection. Highly recommended!

It's been forever since my last visit. If you are in the mood for some central Vietnamese dishes, come on down. Banh Beo - 8 little rice cakes with shrimp, crab, scallions, and fried onions. served with a lighter sweeter fish sauce with red chili. You can eat it as a meal or share it with a friend so you can enjoy other dishes. Bun Bo Hue - a central Vietnamese spicy beef noodle bowl with fresh Vietnamese herbs, sprouts, banana blossoms. Beef shank, tendons, and shrimp paste cakes fill the bowl. comes with spicy condiment not to be missed! If you need a good amount of protein and carbs, order this one! Goi Mit - jackfruit salad with shrimp and pork. shrimp chips. fish sauce dressing. One of my favorite veggie plates. The young jackfruit is so tender and delicious. Go easy on the fish sauce so you can really taste this salad full of herbs, shrimp and pork, which completes this beautiful symphony of flavors and textures. Iced tea paired well with these dishes. Service was friendly and quick. Parking is plentiful.

The good: This is one of my aunt's favorite restaurants so she took me here to experience it recently. There is ample parking! The interior is large (for Vietnamese restaurant standards) and good for bigger groups as well as strollers. They also have outdoor seating. I came with 2 kiddos and we didn't feel cramped. We got the banh it banh ram, banh beo, bun ca (I've never seen this salmon noodle dish elsewhere before) and taro and corn che. I liked how the salmon noodle dish had kubocha squash in it. It was a unique dish that was lighter and tasted healthy. Banh beo was my favorite dish. It wasn't too thick and the shredded shrimp on top was very nice. The nuoc mam also tasted good. They have a lot of menu options. The bad: The taro and corn che were too sweet. Even without the added coconut on top it was too sweet. The banh it banh ram was heavier in grease than the same dish at other restaurants. The interesting: They have 2 fun fish tanks inside that are very fun and interesting (especially for kids). One tank is long and narrow by the shorter bar seating area.

Thức ăn không ngon, mình ăn thử bún bò, chất lượng của nguyên vật liệu ổn nhưng nước lèo chưa đúng vị. Bù lại nhân viên phục vụ thái độ hòa đồng dễ mến. Không gian quán cũng khá ổn The food is not delicious, I tried beef noodle soup, the quality of the ingredients is okay but the broth is not right taste. But, the staff is friendly and lovable. The restaurant space is also quite good.

Cơm cá hồi chiên. The salmon is very thin

This is our first time returning back to this restaurant since Covid. We ordered the bún mang vịt and the fried salmon with rice. The salmon piece was so thin and the bun mang vịt bowl was so small. Taste wise, they're both average, not too good but not bad either. Also there are no utensils or condiments on the table at all, you must ask for everything. Which I think is a hassle, I don't get why restaurant just leave those things on the table in the first place. Overall, the experience is ok but I don't think it worth the price we paid.

    * Price: a bit pricey for the Vietnamese area... but everything is more expensive in 2023. A bowl of pho is $15... you get the idea. * Ambiance: simple and clean but chic. * Location: in Westminster area. Free parking. * Meals: authentic central Vietnamese food. * Service: a bit slow but pleasant This is one of our favorite places in Little Saigon to get banh beo. It is a central vietnamese street food, steam rice cake topped with prawn floss, mung bean paste, oily scallion, and served with fish sauce and chilly pepper. They also have other central Vietnamese dishes such as bun bo hue (spicy beef soup), goi hen (clam salad), etc. Banh beo: about $11 for a tray of 8 cups of rice cake. After pouring the fish sauce to the cup, the rice cake can be scooped out and eaten as once, very savory but light at the same time. Each one of us had one tray of banh beo. Goi hến: small tiny clams mixed with shredded banana flowers, variety of mints, chilly pepper, and fish sauce, served with fried shrimp chips. We also got pho here. Pho has good flavor, but it is not their specialty. We would drive 2 hours from LA to get our fix for central Vietnamese food! If you are looking for central vietnamese food, look no further. This place is a nice introduction to central Vietnamese cuisine.

I wouldn't recommend their bun bo hue here lacked some flavour and probably on my bottom list of places where I'd get bun Bo hue from. BUT! I do recommend if you like rice with spare ribs they make a bit different here with lots of lemongrass and has good flavour however their soup on the side tasted like water barely any flavour. Overall my husband wouldn't want to come back but I would if I'm craving this rice dish again

My wife and I came here based on a recommendation. We both love pho. So that's what we ordered. My wife got filet mignon pho and i got meatball and filet mignon pho. My wife loves potstickers, so they were ordered. I did caution her that potstickers are not the same in Vietnamese cuisine. She did not understand what i meant by "you might like the egg rolls better." They don't have Vietnamese beers. So I ordered something else. We got the potstickers and they were what i thought they would be. They're not fried. They're steamed and very soft. She was put off by the texture alone. I ate two of them. Their filling is neither extensive or that flavorful. They're ok. The pho came with al of the normal accompaniments, though i'm normally used to a pepper, which was not there. The hoisin and siracha side was very small: i needed more. i asked for more siracha and the server appeared annoyed by my request. after steeping the sides and adding the sauces, the pho broth was very good. There wasn't much meat. It was literally one meatball cut up and a few pieces of meat. It was the least amount of meat i've ever had in eating pho more than 500 times. But that's this place. The location is nice. The room is fine. The food is basically good, though not great. I'd eat here again to see if it was a bad night. it it was still pretty good.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

Not sure if it was just that night or if it's how their rice is always cooked, but the rice was on the drier side so I had pour soup on my rice or else it was too dry. Service was okay. I would give them another try. Maybe for their noodle soup dishes.

We pulled up to this small cafe. A very unassuming place. The kids quickly picked our table. The hubby went up to the counter to order. The food starts to arrive quickly. And what happens next, I'm not quite sure, cause it was a blur of amazingness. The Bánh Ướt with steamped rice paper and pork patties + tofu + fresh herbs and special house sauce literally knocked me backwards. The presentation alone was stellar. But the flavors. THE FLAVORS!!! Out of the park, you guys. Jordan and I were beside ourselves. Licking our fingers and everything. The bánh mìs were appetizer-style cuteness, hai phong style paté and shredded pork in house special sauce. You wouldn't believe the flavors from these little bites. My son couldn't stop! Of course, the kids had what they endearingly call "white noodles" - the phở bắc Đặc biệt. Slurped up every last bite of it. My husband and I tried to steal some bites in, too. Gosh. Too good.
