He was patient and willing to give us his attention whenever we came in or called. It ended up being over $17,000 in damage and took 33 days to repair. It took longer as we were told because of insurance adjuster delays or parts availability. But in the end they did a fabulous job and we haven't had any problems with the car since we drove it away and back to Florida. I'd recommend them anytime. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that there was a bit of a delay that might have been avoided with better communication between the shop and the adjuster. It cost us 3 extra days of rental fees but can't be sure how much of the delay was actually caused by the shop. All in all, they did a wonderful job for us in a stressful situation.

My daughter's car would not start, so she called AAA who sent Davis Towing. The driver recommended…read morea new battery and charged her $140. Upon installing the new battery, the car still would not stay running. He then offered to tow it to a repair shop and took her car to Davis Auto Repair. After a diagnostic procedure, their mechanic called my daughter and informed her she need a new alternator and that would fix the problem. However, the new alternator did not repair the car and their mechanic recommended towing it to a Toyota dealership for a more comprehensive diagnostic, something they could not perform at Davis Auto Repair. At this point, they presented a bill for $380 to cover the cost of the new alternator, on top of the $140 already paid for a new battery --- $520 and they had not performed any service that repaired the car. We complained about this and speaking with Peggy, the manager, were informed they needed to be compensated for the alternator and for their time. We instructed them to remove the new alternator, which they did, but they still insisted on being paid $225 for their "time", even though they wasted our time in performing a faulty diagnostic and not performing a repair of the vehicle. They refused to release the car until we paid, so my daughter paid the additional $225 and it was towed to a different repair shop, not a Toyota dealer. Epilog -- The new repair shop ran a diagnostic and quickly found the problem was due to a failed circuit that ran the rear window defroster. This should have been picked up by Davis Auto Repair, except that they were apparently in too much of a hurry to recommend new batteries and alternators. Davis Towing and Auto Repair is a poorly run and managed establishment and should be avoided!

The time to fix the front end damage and get everything repainted was quick. I was washing my truck one day when I was in college and noticed a little bubble on the fender flare and didn't think anything of it. Now being in 2025 the paint on my fender flare has a big spot where the paint has peeled. The flare was not prepped properly and most likely not primed before it got paint. If my insurance company wasn't gonna pay to have the fender flare prepped, I should have gotten a call and I woulda paid cash to have it done properly. If you want a quality job, I'd go to another auto body shop in the area. I brought my truck here cause I wanted a quality fix and paint job done, if I wanted the job hacked, I would have done the job myself.

Not only do they fix your car in a timely manner, they only fix what needs to be fixed. I didn't buy that for a minute. I called Ted's Auto Repair, and was told that they close at 5 but they'd take a look at it for me. I had 10 mins to get there. I got there and the passenger light that I got stopped for was working fine!! Go figure. Second... someone had backed into me at the boat ramp a few weeks back and put a nice deep dent in the rear panel just under the left rear tail light and a hole in the Left side of the Hatch back tail lamp (but the light still worked). I had ordered a new housing which came in the mail earlier in the day. The guys (Ted, John, and Scott) replaced the broken housing, and they even popped the deep dent out that was just under the Left rear tail light. They made sure all of my lights were working!! I rode out of there about 1/2 hr later. No one complained at all about staying late to help me out!! You Guys Rock!! Thank you sooo much!!
