Total Wine let's you browse the store still even with COVID-19 going on. This place stops you at the front door and asks what you want and they go get it. I've also found there prices are about 25% higher than other liquor stores. Probably due to this being a more wealthier area, still it's a bunch of bs. read more

I go into Quarry Wine & Spirits about once a week, sometimes for liquor or beer but usually for wine. The store is very aesthetically pleasing and has a nice selection of wines, both domestic and imported. They have a great selection of wines from Sonoma County and all over California, while also offering popular Argentinean and Australian Wines. There is a wine there for all palettes and all price ranges. They have a plethora of excellent wines for under $20 including some of my favorites - Layer Cake Shiraz (Australia), Silver Palm Cabernet Sauvignon (California), Robert Mondavi 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (California). The prices for liquor and beer is a little more expensive than most places but their prices for wine are on point with other stores. Most importantly, the staff knows what they are talking about. There is one employee there who I always ask for recommendations. I'll tell him "I'm cooking ribeye with grilled asparagus" and he will recommend a good bottle of red. Additionally, they will order you anything you want, without a formal obligation to buy the entire case. read more

Mike and the boys really know their stuff. Nice selection of wines organized by price, which makes a ton of sense. They're also willing to work with you on price if need be for cases. Quarry tries to carry itself as a wine store, but they have an above-average liquor selection and a great beer selection too. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The owner Mike is a great guy, but sometimes less knowledgeable about the wine than one would hope or than he acts, though he's made a couple fantastic liquor recommendations. This liquor store has the highest prices of any local wine and spirit shop, has a substandard "rewards" program, charges differing prices to various customers (with a "friends and family" discount seemingly applied at random), and refuses to honor internet coupons. No longer recommended. read more

While not my first choice, Quarry Wine & Spirits is in a nice location, besides the chaotic parking lot. The place is clean, and has a good liquor selection, though don't expect to find every variety of a certain brand-- you'll be able to find just about any brand, but only one or two options of each. Also note that the quantities of beer are usually pretty small-- don't stock up a party, here. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars? Do not support this liquor store. They are unable to follow Baltimore County Liquor Board's Rules and Regulations. We were kicked out of the store for having, an issue and expiration date on a new official Maryland ID (with the update star) fall within one year. (Issue date 2019, expiration date December 2020) We were denied for an expiration date that has yet to pass. Why is an ID being denied at a liquor store when you are able to fly on a plane? We were told that the other person, who was over 21 with more than year between the issue and expiration date, could not purchase the alcohol either and were told to leave the store. The staff member working with us was EXTREMELY disrespectful and offered no assistance. If this is actually an issue, the ID needs to be fixed. We would need to reach out to the MVA. I googled this and was unable to find information, so we called the store. We were told it was against the Baltimore County Liquor Board Rules and Regulations, but they would reach out to them on our behalf. After 4 days we were told that they received incorrect information. LOL, I'm sure anyone could have told them that. Do not support a store that is unable to follow the liquor boards rules and regulations. It's a little confusing why only one person in the store, the disrespectful cashier, was able to confirm this was a rule and no one else was. read more
