Our second new place of the day for Yelps first Friday's. Quaterdeck is a restaurant in search of an identity. Their menu is all over the place with options that include; sushi, steaks and burgers, salads, seafood and sandwiches. They also have a full bar and as such could be billed as a sports bar because of all the TVs showing sports. My wife had a pecan crusted chicken salad which she said was serviceable. She commented that the greens tasted like they sat in the vinaigrette all day. The chicken tasted fine to me. I had a blackened mahi mahi sandwich which had some roasted peppers, greens and aioli on it as well as fried pickles. The fried pickles were a nice touch. My sandwich came with a choice of french fries, tator tots or coleslaw. I chose the slaw. It was a huge portion and was some of the best slaw I've had in quite some time. Hakeem our server was very attentive and the staff were all observing all the social distancing practices, they even did a temperature check when we walked in. I like that they have outdoor seating as I will not eat indoors at a restaurant during the current pandemic. Their varied menu is sure to offer something you would like. I've been a fan of this Quarterdeck location for some time. It's always been my favorite place to watch games, meet with friends, eat & drink. I haven't been here since Covid, but have to say, I'm disappointed. I always dine outside & love the big screen TV. Today my friend & I went to eat lunch and watch the NBA playoff game, Golden State & Memphis. The sound was off & had no subtitles. We asked our server if the sound could be turned up a little. It was not busy outside while we were there & there were other customers who were watching as well. She said she would ask the manager. It took awhile for her to return & she said the volume could not be turned up. I asked why since its the playoffs & they're a sports bar? She, with very little enthusiasm, said that they're not considered a sports bar, but a bar & grill. WHAT?? That's the first time I've ever heard that. And for all the times I've been there to watch a game & all of the TVs showing various games, that's ridiculous! What's the point of showing any games then??? I said to her, at the least they could put subtitles on, but evidently not per the manager who I found out was named Joe. The food & drinks were still good but seemed to be smaller portions now. Service slower & not as efficient. And it wasn't as clean as it normally is, especially the bathroom. So I guess I'll have to find a real sports bar. read more

We decided to get late night food, around 12am. The bar closes at 2. The waitress said the kitchen closing in less than ten minutes and to get our orders in. She was nice about but she definitely wanted to go home. I ordered soy sauce wings. There were ten delicious wings. The food and drinks came out fairly quickly. We sat outside in the patio area, plenty of space and televisions. This was my first time going to this Quarterdeck. It wasn't as busy and doesn't open as late as the usual one I go to in Plantation. Overall, it was a good experience even though we went super late. The bar was still full when we left around 1am. read more

We were seated immediately, but then watched 2 tables around us (1 adjoining our table); not only get their drinks, but appetizers and orders taken. Calamari was cold but the saving grace was the staff there who were really kind. I've gone to the Fort Lauderdale location and that location was pretty darn good. What a very cute place! Went to lunch and chit chat here for the first time and will surely be back for drinks and hanging out one day. This location has a very nicely appointed outdoor deck- but it was soooo hot that we opted to sit inside. Well- masks are not a priority here but the unmasked host will sit you away from other booths and keep in mind that you do mind and not sit others near (if possible). Waiter (who was super pleasant) also no mask, offered advice and great service. We had their fish dip for appetizer. It was very yummy. We then ordered one of their simple sushi specials. Don't. The rolls are so tiny with a sliver of fish- no wonder they are $8 for 2 plus a tea. They were unsatisfying... so we then ordered one of their premium rolls : the most expensive one ($24) and were equally unimpressed: lol. Lesson learned: sushi is not their thing. The rest of the food that travelled to other tables looked really good so we'll stick to standard fare next time, we were just very peck-ish this time. Overall good time, good service and location . Went for lunch today 6-4-23 at Davie location. Two bites into the food when my son found a large piece of broken glass in his iced tea. RUFKM! Some as$#ole broke a glass in the ice bin and didn't have the common decency to burn the ice. Then to add insult to potential real injury the manager after having been shown the glass and then talking to someone? informed us it was ok because the ice bin is almost empty, and this kind of glass is tempered so it doesn't shatter. That just meant they had gone through an entire ice bin with broken glass in it. And I had just finished a drink that was all ice blended in a blender to make a rum runner. Un-f@#!ing-believable. If they can't even train not to scoop ice with glasses, I can only imagine what nasty crap is going on in the kitchen. I will never go back. read more

We got seated quickly and our waitress came over to great us immediately to take our order... the manager was also very friendly and you could tell he loves his job!! The clam chowder was fantastic! I give this more stars than other sports bars/restaurants in the area because the food is good and I never had a problem with the service. I used to go more often when I was new to the area and with friends after class. I have found better deals in the area and some better food four your buck. I have been on the patio more than inside the restaurant. The patio is very spacious and has at least 10 televisions. The whole patio seats about 70 people. Every time I have been there, it is not obnoxious or loud, which I enjoy. The service is always on point. I don't remember any servers messing up any of my orders. The servers always provide information on specials on drinks and food. They are also very knowledgeable and answer questions without hesitation. It did seem a little pricey the last time I went. Hubby never went so I took him and we just ordered drinks. We ordered doubles because I believe it was BOGO. We only had 2 but our bill was over $20. I know plenty of other places with more reasonable prices. I still like the place, I just will be wary of pricing next time. read more

I have been coming to this Quarterdeck for years. I love that it has seating inside and outside, and it's good for lunch, dinner, or late night. It is great for families or to watch sports. Plus the menu is very varied with something for everyone: seafood, (including sushi,) burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and salads. It is located right on University Drive in Davie, across from NSU, so there seems to be a busy late night crowd of college students. It was kind of loud on our Friday night visit so we decided to sit out on the patio. I was kind of sad when they took the big wooden swings away, but I love the new comfy patio couches too. We were there to watch March Madness basketball games and besides the regular sized tv screens all around, inside and out, they have 2 gigantic screens outside.....so it was perfect to sit comfortably on the couch and watch basketball up close! They have a full bar featuring many different beers. We each had some cold beer; my husband had the chicken wings and I had the edamame. (This is one of my favorite places to get edamame; always a large portion, and delicious!). My other favorite To get is their pecan-crusted chicken salad....also yummy! The service was good also, one of the reasons we like coming here. It's one of our favorite places to take out of town guests. We will definitely be back....many times. read more

Amazing customer service at the door! I'm impressed! I had an amazing experience from the moment I walked in, the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming! I ordered takeout, received my order in the exact time frame they said it would be ready. I reached home and saw that I made a mistake and ordered the wrong entree. I took the item back in hopes of an exchange for the corrected entree and was met with excellent customer service again but this time from the manager Charles Keller. I informed him of my mistake and he immediately gotten it taken care of, in addition to offering to bring my order out to my car after I nicely declined the offer to wait inside. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and this restaurant really delivered. The food was great, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. My first time at Quarterdeck (Davie) and I will definitely be visiting more often! The weather was nice so we decided to sit outside. The outside seating is super comfy and spacious equipped with multiple tv's. We started with cocktails. The Irish Mule was made perfectly. The whiskey and ginger beer weren't too strong, which is how I like it to be. I received a free cocktail for checking in on yelp, which they honored. For appetizers, we started with buffalo shrimp and french onion soup. The shrimp portion was huge and it could have honestly been my main course. I chose the hot flavor and it was the right amount of hot for me. The shrimp were all big and juicy! My bf finished his french onion soup in like two minutes because he liked it so much. I got a little taste and it was good. It had a hint of sweetness to it which I enjoyed. We both had burgers for our main meal; the All American and Lobster burgers. I loved that my lobster burger had actual lobster pieces in it. It wasnt like a frozen patty. There was also a perfect amount of remoulade sauce on the top bun. Our waitress was amazing. Went to Quarterdeck with a party of 9 and 5 meals had to go back. The chicken was all undercooked and not safe to consume. The waitress, Maddie did apologize as she cleared the plates but did not offer to replace the meals nor did she take them off the bill. The manager rushed by, tapped on our table and said sorry about the chicken as he went to sit down in a booth and continue to watch one of the tvs. When paying the check I did point out how everything remained on the bill as well as the up charges for tater totes that never even came out with any of the meals and all she said again was sorry as she walked away. Primarily a seafood restaurant with a standard bar menu with a fishing theme. For me, not being a huge fan of seafood, then menu is kind of limited. If you like seafood and sushi in particular, you will probably really enjoy Quarterdeck. They have half of the menu dedicated to sushi alone. They have lots of fish and shrimp appetizers. Fish tacos. You see the trend here. For a non-fish person, they have a burger option, a few chicken sandwiches, and a few other options. I always find something to get, and always like it, but the menu is tailored to fresh catches from the sea. The service here is always good. There is a hostess who manages the room, which helps to improve that. If you get a large water or soda, it is served in a plastic cup that most people take home. Nice little perk. The other thing I like about this particular Quarterdeck is that they have a dart board. I enjoy shooting darts, but it is not very popular in South Florida, so not many bars have boards. As far as seating, there is a large indoor area, a good-sized outdoor patio, and then you can always eat at the bar. You may be able to order take out, but I haven't tried. Try it out, I think you'll like it. There is a location on Dania Beach pier as well if you want to eat on the water. read more

We came in just for a late night snack and got you some appetizers but they had a whole fish Snapper on their special with sounded really good. They're jukebox play some really great older seventies and eighties music so that's pretty cool. Although the menus knew they are missing one thing which kind of made me upset, it went the same from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off that used to be on their old menus, and the saying is life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in awhile you could miss it. Came here on a solo date during a rainy Sunday. A football game was on so there were no bar seats and it was packed! My server Karli A was such a sweetheart and checked on me often. Now for the food and drink. I got one of the special drinks called gator bait it was just okay, I thought it could have a little more kick in it. If you are looking for a girlie pretty drink this will work. I got the tuna cheese steak (tuna version of the Philly cheese steak). I would say it had a lot of tuna but it was missing something, I put honey mustard on it and that did something. Warning if you need extra sauces there is an extra fee. The Mac and cheese tasted like the ready made boxed mac and cheese just warmed up, yet it was still cold. All in all, the food didn't really hit the spot but it was edible. read more
