However, that's not a medical issue, just a convenience. The real reason is that Question is a remarkable testing company. I know that because I was hired years ago to re-engineer their help desk. I had to attend daily meetings that had every executive connected to medical testing in attendance. The impressive level of detail they went through every meeting proved to me that they had their business together. I made an appointment online. Arrived to find this in the CVS plaza. It is on the opposite end of the place from CVS. Checked in on my phone. Got texted about a minute later to come inside. I was surprised because I was 15 minutes early. David saw me quickly after arriving. Only because this is Yelp, I'll say he is Haitian and we spoke about Haitian food. We both love the food. His wife works there as well. Extremely friendly people. There is a kiosk to check in, but I never used it, I check in online. David hit the vein with one perfect stick. My phlebotomist at Quest Denville, Marleny, did not follow sterile procedure and did not invert my tubes. Before my venipuncture, she "cleaned" my injection site with only two swipes and then wiped it with non-sterile gauze. She put gloves on and touched the dirty arm rest with both gloved hands. She told me to make a fist with the two tubes. She then touched the injection site with the dirty glove on, contaminating the procedure, and immediately stuck me. I immediately told her all of this and she stared at me meanly. I then told her that this is important because she put me at risk of infection. She said that I was right, but didn't apologize. She managed to give me a small hematoma and I have easy veins, and she did not invert my tubes. All of these failures are not acceptable, most importantly the contamination of my procedure. read more

We had scheduled the appointment a month in advance, but the only available day was Saturday. In the past, we had been sent home due to similar issues. Ok I know this is a sentence someone RARELY says . But hands down BEST bloodwork test ever. I was in the waiting room and was greeted and called in by ALISON who was extremely bubbly, friendly, personable. She makes you feel extremely comfortable, it's like talking to a friend . She's extremely gentle and let me know ok here comes a little pinch and before I know it the tourniquet is taken off, and I had no idea that she was even done. She was so social and talkative throughout the whole entire process that it was extremely calming. I didn't even feel the pinch from the needle. She made the experience the best , and she was so fun and funny that I probably ended staying 5 mins after I was finished just chatting with her. I've had bloodwork plenty of times and this was the BEST experience I've ever had . If your in the area and need bloodwork I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Quest Diagnostic. And ask for Alison . There was no wait , I made my appointment online , I checked in, and within a minute I was called back . REFUSE BLOOD WORK if a technician named LORETTA HILTON will do your blood work. She is one of the most rude people we have ever met. She used the largest needle and she punctured my vein so roughly. She did not even put a band aide. I had to do it myself. She had my grandmother who is 85years old for God sake, and hurt her. She is so unprofessional. This is for Quest management. You need a receptionist. They are not value added; they are essential because younger inexperienced phlebotomists have little to no skills other than sticking a needle in a customer s arm. I check in on an iPad. Nobody was in the waiting room. Yes I am late but you took at least 5 patients that came after me. If you have to have paper version of the order, (not an image of a PDF) let me print my image as an option instead of asking me to call the ordering physician to fax it from the office. Alternatively please have enough brains to be able to read the tests and know what tests are synonymous or overlapping. Many thanks to Margaret who has customer service skills and saved the appointment. Suggest the Starbucks drinking woman who was going to school me on medical records and take the fax machine off line so that my physicians office tried to fax for half an hour get retrained. They renovated and updated this location recently making it so much better. The staff is very friendly and work as quickly as they can. They usually have 2 people working so expect a wait on weekends. They are only open until 12 on Saturday and their weekday hours are pretty limited as well. My name was on the screen with an 8 minute wait. I actually took 14 minutes and Margaret came out to get me. She was very pleasant and really good at drawing blood! Don't waste your time here. With COVID and all, they send you a text saying you should check in on the phone, and wait in your car until you are texted to come in. I did this at the time of my appointment, but after ten minutes of no text, I figured I would go in and make sure it was done correctly. By this time, it was 11:11, eleven minutes past my appointment time, only because I was waiting in my car like I was told to! The rude "man" at the front "desk" who's job is solely to write a check mark next to the name of people who walk in told me that I can no longer be seen because I was there after my "grace period". The grace period, being ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time. First of all, it was one minute past and this "man" acted like I was twenty or thirty minutes late, and second of all, I was at the location, checked in, at my appointment time, but was waiting in the car as I was told to by the text message I received prior to the appointment. The lady who took my blood was nice though. The guy at the desk genuinely deserves to be fired, as all the complaints I see about this place solely revolves around him. He really acts like hot **** even though he does nothing at all and exists there solely to make people cry and be rude to them for fun. What. a. loser. Yikes, wish I knew his name... I needed to have blood drawn for my Dr to review. I made an appt online because they recommend it. Got there about 19 minutes early. No one in the main lobby so I sat waiting until someone came to the door. I told the woman I had made an appt. online. She asked me did I have the code. No I didnt but she checked the emails and saw my appt time. She said someone would call me when they were ready. It was only a few minutes before a young man came to the door and called. I don't remember his name but after reading someone else's review it may have been David. Anyway he told me to provide a urine sample. Whoops I thought, I had just gone at home and I didn't think I could provide same. He gave me a plastic cup with a lid and I went to try. No good. He said no worries maybe after he drew the blood I would be able to go. He stuck me expertly, one time. I have had troubles in the past with someone not being able to hit a vain with numerous attempts. Not with this guy. I still had to supply a urine sample and couldn't. He pit my name on a cup and told me to bring it back to him but before 2 o'clock when he would be gone. I did so and he was very accommodating, polite and professional Throughout the entire process.
