Quest Diagnostics front office with computer check in.

Quest Diagnostics was clean, professional and efficient. The tech was pleasant and proficient with the blood draw. This location is in the busy Chinatown area, so street parking can be a challenge. Give yourself plenty of time.

I recently visited the Quest Diagnostic on Clay Street and it was a unique experience. There is street parking but it's limited and it's on a hill. The office has a small waiting room and three (3) lab rooms where samples are collected. Overall, it's not a bad location but if you can get an appointment in the early morning or late at night, I encourage you to do so.

1st time bruised - blood drawn on 8/8/12; bruise develops and remains a week later on 8/15/12

They can only do as much as they can up to closing time. As for the blood draw, the man who helped me was fantastic and so quick and kind and personable. Five stars for all staff! Less one star: -Could use more chairs for waiting. I know they already put as many chairs out as possible due to the small space -I feel bad for the seniors who don't know English because the receptionist didn't speak Chinese who I presume is the main language for the clientele here. Receptionist was awesome with me and handled the stressful job very well (kudos to her!). Also seniors don't understand or know how to use technology and the only way to check in is to use the iPad at the front window to scan your ID

Unfortunately, there is a Chinese speaking employee there who has been very rude and unhelpful toward my mother-in-law and other patients. When my mother-in-law asked for help with the check-in process, the Chinese-speaking employee told her to do it herself. If she were able to do it on her own, she would not have asked for help in the first place. The same employee later assisted her with lab work and rudely asked why she was not following directions. My mother-in-law could not hear the instructions clearly because the employee was shouting at her instead of calmly and patiently helping her. If your parents or elderly relatives come here and experience the same rude treatment from this facility, please report it to Labcorp and file a complaint. We need better service and respectful care for our loved ones.

Convenient location (on the #1 Muni Bus line). I walked in and saw a huge number of people who were seated and waiting. I checked in on the upright kiosk. Done. Then I took the initiative to speak to the woman sitting the check in desk. She was a blood draw pro herself (I know there is a special term for this). She said they take walk ins. I said I had an appointment. I got to go ahead of all those walk-ins! Huge+! I had brought in my doctor's order/paperwork (although my doctor said the order would be transmitted to Labcorp; I've learned that it's expeditious to have it on hand). Paid a co-pay. Got invited into a room. The technician took the samples. Minimal discomfort. She was a PRO! Done and out the door in less than 10 minutes! Best to have an appointment if you think you're time is valuable. Imo: LabCorp technicians will help you get in & out; you just have to set everything up right.

WOW I also saw people who were waitlist after me got because you can see the board got called before me. The people are nice. They're just very into their computer and the doctor's orders. Prioritize the appointments is my recommendation. Because what's the point of making one!!!!!!!!

The restroom was so small and poorly designed that I could not safely bring my cane inside. As a result, I fell in the restroom. Afterward, the lab technician informed me that I would need to return in 3 days, stating he was not willing to give me another attempt that day. I am genuinely concerned that a medical laboratory does not have basic ADA-compliant accommodations for patients with mobility needs. Accessibility is not optional--it is a requirement, especially in a healthcare setting where patients may already be vulnerable. This experience was unsafe, dismissive, and unacceptable. I hope Labcorp takes accessibility seriously and addresses this issue so others do not experience the same situation.

Friday afternoon. 1/30/2026…read more Super slow service even having an appointment!!! Appointment told me to arrive 15mins early before my schedule time and I did. I got a ticket when I arrived, the ticket I got have 7 numbers ahead of me meaning it would be awhile before I can check in. I was not even able to check in after my appointment time has passed! They didn't move a single ticket number for 15 mins. Later I heard ppl with appt does not have to get a ticket, they should have clear instruction of that. Because the first thing you see when u walk in is a ticket machine telling you to get ticket, no where it mentioned ppl with appointment does not need ticket other than just waiting in line. But for today's situation it doesn't matter much because the line nor the ticket calling does not move much. Anyhow I was not even able to check in at the counter 20mins after arrival (that is only because I waited in line instead of waiting for my number to be called, otherwise it doesn't even look like they will call my number after 40mins) And at the end I got my blood drawn 48mins from arrival time. Seriously my blood draw process took less than two mins in & out. So I wasted 46 extra minutes of parking for something that only took 2 minutes. What's the point of having an appointment????And what's the point of going there 15min earlier than appointment time????? They let people without appointment for "drop off" to cut ahead of people with appointment and people with ticket waiting. If it was a simple quick drop off it's definitely ok, but it was actually not quick, it took him 15mins to handle a person with a "drop off" and they stayed at the window to process paperwork's for at least 15mins just for a drop off. Very unorganized!! Very slow. Only 2 workers here, and they are both Slow. They should have prioritize ppl with appointments and arrived early instead of letting walk in patient going ahead of ppl that has an appointment. Otherwise it's won't be necessarily for an appointment then.

I'll cut to the chase and tell you it was surprisingly accurate, and within the margin of error, although Dexa is the "gold standard." I won't bore you with the metrics but I will bore you with the experience. First off, the location for the mobile service has ample parking and was conveniently located. The mobile van was clean, the technician - Suhban Khan was very professional and knowledgeable. Like myself, he was also a fitness coach and had solid knowledge not only with Dexa but also the leading body composition measurement devices on the market and smart scales. We had a good chat and I interviewed him briefly for the YouTube channel. If you want to watch, here's the link: https://youtu.be/eJ9x2bf5QHA?si=sytHprsQ9ydwYn-R The scan took about 10 minutes time, with 6 minutes for the scan. You just wear light, loose clothing and lay back, while the scanner passes from your head to your feet. It moves a fraction every 30 seconds. The van was mostly quiet with ambient music - felt very much like any medical setting. Is this a necessary experience for everyone? No. For most people seeking general health I would recommend getting the good habits of proper nutrition, exercise and proper rest before worrying about getting a Dexa but...it will help keep you accountable to your goals and honestly, the subscription service is pretty affordable. I enjoyed my experience and will check in again in a few months.
