I contracted with Steve Rocco (Quick Move) to clear my storage unit and to deliver the sofa to the upholstery I had contracted with.. Instead, he left it in his truck and when he needed it called in a nearby upholsterer he knew to pick it up. When that owner of Upholstery Decorations called to tell me he had my sofa, I told him I had not authorized that and already had arranged with another contractor. Steve refused to pick my sofa up, saying it was not his, and not his problem! Meanwhile Yelp reviews were published of upholstery companies in the Mamaroneck area, and U.D. reviews were horrific. Steve then told Raul Torres, owner, that I wanted my sofa removed. The same day I receive photos from him and his manager Melissa showing a huge stain on the back of some poured dark liquid and then photos of the sofa ripped apart. Steve then threatened me repeatedly by email and ultimately blocked me from calling him. I sent my upholsterer to pick up the piece with Steve saying Raul would release it. He did not. Said there was $1000 open invoice for the "work" he did. My cost $150 for pick up. Neither Steve nor Raul will release my sofa without my releasing them of liability. I still do not have my sofa. I booked to move with him yesterday. I am supposed to move today. He hasn't picked up any of my calls. I am afraid I'll have to go with someone else if he doesn't pick up my call soon. I don't know how else to get his attention than to write this review. Update. They called me back and they said the Steve (owner) had a emergency today and can't do my move anymore. A new person called me and tried to reschedule my move for Friday and then said I need to pay a 4 hour minimum which was not the agreement with Steve. They also didn't have a truck that would fit all of our stuff. I cancelled my move with them. Now I am stuck trying to find movers last minute. read more

I worked with Steve and his men, and they are by far the most professional movers company that I have worked with before. There price was cheaper than other local competitors and the service and class was above and beyond anything that I had ever experienced with a moving company. Highly recommended. read more

Please beware if you are using this company. The owner only cares about lining his pockets. I have moved 5x throughout my lifetime and I must say this is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. No ethics or trust whatsoever. The owner came to my place of residence to give me an appraisal and estimated quote but in the process "scanned" my furniture and asked how much each item was worth (red flag). He then gave me a quote of the hourly rate and packing materials. On the day of the move, he did not honor the quote. In fact he raised the hourly rate and added additional unnecessary fees claiming he gave me a discount and he's an honest gentleman. Also when I said the rate is different and I don't think it will be that many hours he got offended and tried to say he felt like I was making him feel as though he does not know what he's doing. He also loves to say he's been in this business over 20 years. Also his movers finished packing everything in less than the allotted timeframe and he was displeased. The owner also tried to berate his employees because they packed up everything so quickly. (He wanted them to move slower so he could charge more per hour). He charged me $245 per hour (this was after some negotiation, he wanted to charge more). Then he told me that he only takes cash and he would prefer to have his money by 8:00AM the following day. Please read the other negative reviews of this company and do not be duped. He is a professional scam artist. I never received my invoice which he was supposed to email to me. The only invoice I received was for the packing materials. I reported his business to BBB and in hindsight I wish I did not use his services. read more

Used this service last Saturday. The Truck showed up on time, the Men were professional and friendly. Our move wasn't easy as we have big heavy pieces. But they found solutions to our problems without delay. Not sure about other reviews but all I can say is Steve and his workers are Top Notch and delivered on what they promised. read more

This company is a fraud. Read the reviews before you book this company. Steve was very nice on the phone but as soon as he gets the deposit, good luck getting them to show up or even pick up the phone. Will be disputing charges with this guy and taking him to court. Moved in beginning of September with quick move. Day of the move they were late to show up. Everything else went smoothly until I looked in my jewelry box a few days later to put my wedding bands back on and couldn't find them. Also missing was my grandmother's engagement ring. I made sure that those two rings were nowhere else and contacted the owner Steve. After two weeks back and forth he says there's nothing he can do for me. I do not recommend this company to anyone!
