Horrendous check-out experience. Booked and confirmed arrival one month in advance. Received a call…read more1.5 days before to say that appointment needed to be changed to a different day - not acceptable as the tenant had a removal service in place. After much discussion, managed to reschedule for same day but several hours earlier. Huge inconvenience for all involved. Clerk did not arrive at all on the day - no call, no email to advise of any delay. Called the service desk on several occasions who a) firstly advised that there was a problem with the clerks car and then b) after pressing, admitted that the clerk had actually advised on the day that they would not be attending. No replacement available. Finally managed to get an a.m appointment for the following day - arrived 3.5 hours late. Again, no call to advise. By way of apology was offered a 50% discount. This in no way covered the removal costs. All that was wanted was the initial service delivered as agreed on the date and time requested. Subsequent report was late and contained numerous errors; listed as a check-in service instead of check-out (simple stuff). Amendments sent for inclusion. Not received in defined timescales. Have been chasing for 4 days for the final report without any significant update howerver, it always "on the way". All attempts to speak with a Supervisor or Manager are met with the stock "they're in meetings and/or not available". Am now in a position where my tenant (quite rightly) is threatening potential legal action to recover full deposit as I'm unable to confirm delivery of the final check-out report. In effect, London Inventory Company simply provides a cut-price umbrella service that front-ends the third-party inventory resource. All works well unless there are any problems. In the event of any issues they are completely helpless and unable to resolve. No control over third-part inventory staff or quality. Deeply disappointing. Why on earth would you seek to use one of their other services?
