If I could give negative stars, I would. We signed up for the couples class, and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, no one ever told us when our pottery was ready for pickup, and when I called the location about our pieces, they told us they threw them away! We spent over $100 on this class AND tipped our instructor. What an absolute waste. Oh, and the customer service when I called? Terrible! Save your money and go to Paint My Pottery in Plano. They are so kind and actually hold on to the pieces you pay for. read more

I came in to do my pottery class and they told us to come back within three weeks when the when I came back it was a little later (10 days past the "policy")and they just discarded my pottery. I wasn't told when I made the pottery that there was a limit on picking up the pottery. And the lady told me that it was on the receipt which u throw away. It would've been nice if the lady when we left told us that we had a time limit to pick up and not just throw away our pottery. 4 pieces we made went to the trash without any warning that they were going to discard. We had such a fun time on a couple visits to Quiggly's and always have found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

I looked up pottery painting places with walk in and this popped up so my boyfriend and I decided to try it. It was pretty empty so that was nice and the staff was pretty nice. We painted our stuff and then went to check out. We didn't receive a receipt and i left my phone number and was clearly told that they'd contact when it's ready. this was in june and i'm very busy and just realized now that we never received a call. so i call and they tell me they donated it because they only have a hold of 45 days. i understand the pieces can't be held forever and i would've picked them up in time if i knew but they told us they'd let us know and now when i called they said they don't do that ? so now i wasted money and didn't even get my pieces. and looking at the replies back to negative comments here make it even worse. learn how to run a business and not tell customers you're going to do something if you don't even do that and maybe people wouldn't leave negative reviews. read more

I see the negative reviews and I just haven't had a bad experience with them. If you paint some pottery, it takes about a week to get back. Don't leave it there over 45 days or they throw it away. These are things they clearly tell you. Our most recent visit, we were sat down and chose our colors. They kept checking on us to make sure if we needed more paint. They were friendly, helpful and all around awesome. It's pricey, but my children have a great time and this is something we do as a family...so it's worth every penny. It's been an annual tradition for us and this is something I look forward to do each year. read more

I have been to Quiggly's Clayhouse several times. My daughter and I really enjoy being able to pick our pottery and paint it. We have always been happy with our pieces when we get them back. People need to know that this is a come, and do your own thing kind of place. They do have some teacher led classes. However, most of their business is drop in. It's a small business with a small staff. You will have to wait for things sometimes. If I need a tool or brush I get up and get it. I do wait for them to bring more glaze. Glaze isn't cheap, the colors can look similar, so I'm willing to wait for them to bring it to me. Having the right expectation for your trip to Quiggly's will help you enjoy your experience. This should be a leisurely visit, when you don't have anywhere to rush off too. I hope you will enjoy it like I do. read more

If you read through the reviews you will find that the people who gave low ratings had a problem with after the visit service. We are from out of town. We went to Qugglies with our Granddaugher who lives here. We had a great time painting two objects but when we went back to pick them up, a "kiln failure" had destroyed them. So on our next visit in March 2020 we went back again and painted two more objects. Because we were from out of town, they agreed to ship and we paid. Months went by - not items - so we called. They took days to find the items but agreed to ship them immediately. Weeks later we called again, nobody remembered talking to us but they again promised to ship them. Weeks went by - no items. A THIRD time they promissed to ship the items. They never showed up. We finally visited our relatives in Garland again in June and went by Quigglys. They had never shipped the items in three months, and could only find one of the two items we painted. The one they lost was a Christmas ornament which was the whole point of our original visit. I applaud Quigglys' for hiring high school students. There are not enough oppourtunities for this age employee. BUT - if you're going to let high school students run your business and be the only employees on site for long periods of time - you need to properly train and manage them. And you need clear processes and procedures about recording and following through on customer requests. read more

Spent my time and money painting a picture frame just to find out that they did not give me the backer needed to actually display a picture in my picture frame. I have come here twice before. We just wanted something fun to do and painting pottery sounded like a blast to us :D It's a bit far from where I live, so I hated to have to drive back just to get my glazed finished product, but oh well. The staff is very helpful and I am not an artsy person so I did ask them to help me in coming up with creative ideas and they had so many great ones. You can bring your own food and wine, but when you are using paint you don't want to use those same hands to stick some food in your mouth. So we just brought some wine, sipped, talked, and painted away. They do have weekly specials so I strongly recommend in checking that out rather than paying original price! read more

A friend invited me for a pottery wheel lesson, and since it was always on my bucket list, I had to try once!! Just had our lesson here with Rose. She is so friendly, patient, professional and knowledgeable!! Our hour passed so quickly!! We had the best time EVER! We had done pottery paintings many time at different locations and this one won the worst experience award. Staff is not enthusiastic nor welcoming, they only let you pick 6 colors and charge extra after that, our kids were very disappointed after waiting for one week for supposedly finished products to come out as "damaged in the oven". By the way, don't expect them to call you for pickup , they don't care just want your money, Not to mention the prices are on the high side. It seems near impossible to book for a class. They don't allow you to book online and you can only reserve through the phone. Here is the catch, they never pick up their phone. We left a message only to receive a phone call a WEEK later. We were trying to figure out the details about the different classes and what they had to offer so couldn't schedule when they called back because we didn't have a headcount. We called a week ahead to book, no one picked up the phone so we left a message. Here comes the day the class was supposed to start and we still haven't received a call back to reserve. We've called MULTIPLE times to reserve today and still no response. This place needs better management. read more

My son attended a birthday party here at Quiggly House a few years back. The party was hosted by the owners - a young married couple. They were great with the kids and everyone had a blast. I still have the awesomely cute monkey that my son painted. You can bring your own food and cake. They offer an l-shaped private room. One side is for the food, cake and presents and the other side is where the kids actually do their crafts. They also have a little TV available for the kids who do get antsy. Oh, if you do a pottery painting party the kids don't get to take them home right after the party. They have to be processed in the kilm (sp?) and you can pick them up in a few days. read more

I really wanted to like this place. When we entered, it seemed very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, those were the only upsides. They have a very limited selection of overpriced pieces to paint. The person showing us what to do forgot about us mid-tour and we had to figure the rest out for ourselves. The real reason I'm giving this place one star is because we were never called to pick up our pieces, which they explicitly promise to do when you pay for your $22 mug. When I eventually called them a week and a half later, there was no apology or even an acknowledgement of a mistake on their part. I didn't want a free painting session, just some good, old fashioned customer service. It was pretty frustrating. Additionally, the travel mug I painted is supposed to come with a rubber cap. Never received it when it was picked up. For $22, I wish I could say it was money well spent. It wasn't. I'm sticking with the cozy comfort of Creative Hands in Pantego. read more

They have a Valentine's Soiree every year that is tons of fun! My boyfriend and I (back then, we had only been dating for a couple months) came here for our first Valentine's ever as a couple and it was such a unforgettable night! The two hosts are husband and wife named Kristi and Kirby who are both extremely friendly and super helpful. There are stations of clay molding, tile mosaic building, and the couples even let you pick out a piece of already made item (dinner plates, mugs, tissue box holders, etc) and you can paint on it and take it home after it's been fired in the kiln on a later date. The price is $100/couple which seems like a lot but I would personally rather do this than go to a fancy restaurant like ever other person in Dallas. For the price, a steak dinner from Saltgrass Steakhouse, instructions and help on your artwork (which I definitely needed when it came to clay molding, it looks soooo easy! Unfortunately it's not) and supplies for your artwork (pre-made things to paint on, paint, clay, glazing/firing of the clay) and it's BYOB so that's also fun too! When I went, my bf and I didn't know anyone there but everyone was very friendly and we got to know a lot of couples. So honestly, for a nice dinner, a great atmosphere, and some souvenirs for our first Valentine's together (we made a Domo tissue box holder) I think it's a pretty great deal! Quiggly's is an excellent place to get your art on! They have pottery wheels, glass fusion, and ceramic painting, and plenty of supplies and helpful staff on hand. I was lucky to have a Groupon deal for a glass fusion and designed a small glass square. A staff member explains to you how to cut the glass, all the different glass types, and then you are on your own to be artsy to your heart's content....or if you're like me, have your brain struggle into overdrive when given a blank slate and brood over different color combinations before finally deciding what to make. Keep in mind that there is a sitting fee of $8 for adults on top of whatever it is that you're doing, but it's pretty reasonable considering that other places just include that in the pricing of their ceramics anyways, so the price is comparable to other art places. The staff is really friendly, especially the man who I assumed to be the owner who was upbeat and conversational. With such a welcoming atmosphere and variety of activities, I'd go back to Quiggly's next time I was feeling crafty! read more

I love these type of pottery places. Instead of creating a horrible mess in your own home, you get to let the nice staff at Quiggly's deal with it. ;) I visited Quiggly's for a 4 year old's birthday one hot Saturday afternoon. The kids loved picking out a piece of plain pottery (which they have plenty of) and painting it however they wished. It's great to watch the determination on the kids' faces. From browsing around the "clayhouse" I noticed they do ladies nights where you can bring your own wine and get crazy with some pottery and friends.....I might have to check that out! They also have some fun mosaic projects you can complete with broken colored glass and beads. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They're happy to answer all of your questions and are great with kids. I highly suggest having a kids' birthday party here. They have a huge party room and let you bring food & drinks....a big plus since most bday places make you purchase food & drinks from them. Compared to similar places like Chuck E. My only complaint and reason for 3 stars is I've been to a similar craft shop at a YMCA in Colorado and the selection of projects here was seriously lacking in comparison. I came in wanting to do a mosaic and was sorely disappointed that there were so few options available. For example, I have a mosaic dog leash hook hanging on my wall that was a ton of fun to make and I saw nothing functional like that to do. The glass pieces were all perfect squares, and at the other shop they were all broken up in giant containers. Half the fun was finding pieces that fit, and the end result looks better with the random piece shapes and sizes. Overall though I had a fun time and expect to be coming back. read more

I've been to a paint your own studio before but where this one differs is the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, they offer fused glass and pottery painting (which I take to be the norm) and the option to create your own pottery piece..something I want to try. I felt the prices were reasonable at $14 for a large coffee mug and an $8 supply fee. It was family day so they even gave us a dollar off even though there were only two of us. They had a pretty good selection of dishes and useful items which is all I was really interested in. I intend to go back some day, not sure how soon. This was was full of people too.
