With plenty of spacious seating on the patio and tucked away in little corners of the garden we found a lovely little table for 3 in the sunshine. For winter months they have 2 main buildings and 2 out-houses which are very pretty and well decorated inside. Post-birthday night out I was a little worse for wear and ready for a full English and a good cup of tea unfortunately the breakfast cut off point is at 11.30 however I wasn't too disappointed as the rest of the menu left plenty of tantalizing options for me to choose from! The waitress came over to take our orders and helped me choose between 2 dishes that I was torn over. The drinks service was a little slow but the food was timey and the presentation on all the dishes was amazing! My Dad opted for a seafood platter, which came with smoked salmon, crayfish, cockles, mackerel and crab slaw all served with sourdough bread, hollandaise and aioli sauces - seafood heaven! My Mum went for the lamb and goats cheese burger that was divine! The lamb was cooked to perfection with it being pink in the middle and served with a yummy mint yogurt dip and sun-dried tomatoes. I was stuck between the club sandwich and BBQ pulled pork open sandwich. On recommendation I went for the pork, which was served, on sourdough toast with melted Monterey cheese - heaven! I was having food-envy looking at the lamb burger but was not in anyway disappointed with my pork. Finishing off our meal with the Parlour's specialty - ice creams all round! I have a new found love for the homemade lemon meringue cone... There is so many flavours including apple pie and the originals too - its an ice cream lovers heaven! Our leisurely lunch here was fab and they are also promoting the "Super Club" on the 18th of July that is a diner's paradise! With three courses plus their homemade ice cream at £25 a head it doesn't break the bank either. This place was definitely worth the 20-minute drive and I will be back to try their dinner menu!

It was a really yummy cake! The sitting rooms were so cute, we were in the garden shed , and there was the main room, and the ice cream parlour and outdoor sitting. A really well done place, with layout and set up. Sometimes tea shops along the high way have a whole room full of junk they are trying to sell to you and then cramped sitting. But not here I think I saw a few cute things for sale but mostly they were focused on their food and I was told famous ice cream! Well done for keeping the place about whats most important... the food! Friendly service and tasty treats. It was a bit slow because they were super packed and under staff. The waiter apologised for the wait and said someone had called in ill! I can only rate it on the cake and coffee because I didn't eat anything there but I imagine it would be good .

I personally ordered a latte with almond milk, the avocado on sourdough(Mexican) with an added 2 poached eggs. After breakfast/lunch I went back and got a pour over(filtered?) coffee that was out of this world delicious with no milk! I just love when you can get a coffee and enjoy it for the simple pure taste of it. I would order it every time. I also stayed hydrated with the water they generously provide at the front(that they never let run out). The bonus to it all was the dark chocolate selection they have. I went for the 100% dark of single origin, just like their coffees by the way. On top of all that, the bathrooms were clean and well stocked. There were plenty of tables and even some with outlets. There were lots of pastries to choose from that I did not try, but that is what subsequent visits are made for! The staff were really friendly and nice. Someone is obviously on top of it here in organization. It is not easy to make a business look and run this good. So do yourself a favor and go try this place out.

Sometimes these seats are taken up by smokers and people with dogs bt you can usually squeeze in somewhere. Inside the first floor is quite compact with tables close together - a little crowded and claustrophobic for my liking. Howevere, if you head upstairs it is much more spacious with a relaxed lounge room feeling - low tables, sofas and easy chairs. Snacks are quite limited to cakes, flapjacks and paninis which may not be to everyones taste but the drinks range is excellent. Lots of different coffees and syrups in particular. You can even get coffee and hot chocolates made from soya milk if you would rather not have dairy. There are organic juices in child friendly cartons. Prices are expensive. I was there today and for three drinks and three flapjack type bars it was over £12 however this isn't out of the ordinary for the centre of town. I would say prices are average for where the place is. A loyalty card is available. Remember to have it stamped every time you go in and buy a drink. After so many stamps (ten I think) you qualify for a free drink which isn;t bad.

They also offer a range of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes. No WiFi frustratingly so I do have to move on if I am intending to do work for any length of time. The staff are very friendly however and I have been here so many times recently I am only one coffee away from my free drink using my stampcard! Finally don't miss out on Blake's monthly comedy night after hours and each Friday they showcase live music so don't be fooled into thinking Blake's is just a coffee house open in traditional hours!
