So many colors and styles. The store is well maintained, bright, well organized, stocked and clean. We scooped up a beanie, as I find it hard to find one that fits just right, so I was pumped! A week after that, I emailed them because no tracking number was received and I wanted to see where the package was. "Oh, it hasn't shipped yet. Give it another week." Ummmm....OK. I give it another week, and reach out again saying I still haven't gotten a tracking. 'Give it 48 to 72 hours.' OK..... 3 days later, I write again. 'Although our system shows it as shipped, it's not generating tracking numbers. Would you like us to ship the order again?' Kind of a weird resolution offered. You insist the first order shipped. So you're confident it's on it's way. But you're now offering to ship it again, so I'd get twice the merchandise for the same price? Companies just offer a refund or credit in these situations.... So I contacted my credit card company and they've reversed the charge. It's now over a month since I placed the order initially and nothing has arrived. It seems strange - like a scam. Equally, if you leave a bad comment about the company on their Facebook, you'll get inundated with other "customers," insisting it's a great company, great products, blah blah blah. Almost like they're paid to defend Aran. I've left plenty of bad reviews on other company's pages and never heard from anyone. Also a bit weird, all the reviews on their website are through TrustPilot, a known scam review website. And their Facebook page had no activity for almost 10 years, before coming back to life within the last few months.

It's been running for a couple hundred years... the kind of mill that we all miss seeing more of. be sure to keep an eye out for the small road signs along the N72 "Ring of Kerry", it's a quick turn-off, right quick off the main route.

I learned how to knit over a decade ago but unfortunately have forgotten how. I taught myself how to crochet last year, so I figured I'd pick up some things to motivate me to one day work up to a fancy project (and to actually finish a project...). It looks like I will also be relearning how to knit because I found a really pretty pattern that I'd like to try to replicate. I act the disgruntled husband when my wife or daughter drags me in here, but the truth is that I love chatting with the friendly staff or just sitting down and watching people shop. Pretty impressive! We only had about 30 minutes to browse Blarney Woollen Mills. In that time, Wifey found a very cool jacket to purchase at an affordable price point. In that time, she also forgot her sunglasses at the shop. We already faraway from the shop when she realized that she misplaced it. She immediately called the shop, but by that time the sunglasses were nowhere to be found. The employee who answered the phone was not very helpful or sympathetic though. Very sad and disappointing customer service!!! Despite the loss of my wife's beloved sunglasses, it was still an okay experience overall. This shop carrys all kinds of clothes, crafts, food, plus so much more. Blarney Woollen Mills is known as having the great Irish Shopping Experience after all. Absolutely check this place out after you kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle of course. Just don't forget any of your possessions while you are here because chances are great that they will be unable to help you.

I remember it having all the souvenirs you could want, including wool - at reasonable prices. We visited again after Blarney Castle but we had limited time since it closes at 6 PM and we got there at around 5:30. I managed to find a cute little sheep stuffy for my daughter, and an ornament for my sister. I remember buying wool the last time I was here. If I had more time to shop, I probably would have done more damage, so maybe it was a good thing the store was at closing time.

We were going to buy two wool shirts and a few other things including the sheep that my daughter really wanted but after the way she acted towards us, and the negative experience we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere.
