So glad I was able to find this Great Store for Knife Sharpening. But it offers so much in Quilting, Embroidery Machines....etc. If I was still doing my home business in Alterations, Mending, and Home Accessories, I would definitely be a regular customer here. Super Nice Customer Service that I was Greeted as I walked in the door. Chris does the Knife Sharpening....etc... KNOWS HIS STUFF!!! This store sells a nice selection of quilting fabrics, as well as a nice selection of different sewing and embroidery machines. I've shopped at this store for several years, and they were always very helpful, however, when I recently purchased an embroidery sewing machine from them, I saw a different side of their business and customer service. They don't provide any beginner embroidery classes, nor much support for learning the intricacies of machine embroidery. They're more interested in conducting high dollar (I.e. several hundred dollar) classes instead of the more simple embroidery classes to help new machine embroiderers. When I asked if they did/would do any type of beginner classes, my request fell on deaf ears. It is very frustrating, when asking for help, to be told "bring your finished project in and I'll tell you what you did wrong." That might help me for the next time, but my current project is ruined. I'm very disappointed in the "after purchase" service/help I've received from Quilt Sampler. read more

I can't speak to the fabric and quilting part of this business, but they have a sharpening service which is outstanding. I took a bunch of knives in to be sharpened and came out not only with knives that can cut through the toughest, most awkwardly-shaped squash with perfect ease, but thanks to the owner's husband, who does all the sharpening, I got a free lesson in how to keep my knives sharp for as long as possible. He didn't charge me for one pair of scissors that in his estimation were not in a condition to be sharpened to perfection. When I stopped in a week later with my paper cutter, he kindly explained how I had been pulling the blade down in a way that was less efficient at cutting, making it seem dull. He told me it didn't need to be sharpened at all, and I left with a working paper cutter and nary a dime poorer. I will definitely go back. read more

I went into this store because their website has a cute bike pattern on it. I walked into the store, looked around for about ten minutes when I was approached by a sales person, when I asked about the pattern she stated they may or may not have it, but she thought it was a download. She returned to the counter and was looking for the pattern, I browsed around the store and found some fabric, I approached the same clerk and she asked if I was ready to have fabric cut and I said yes, at that point I noticed that she was on the phone and she was on the phone the rest of the time I was getting the fabric cut and paying. I have no idea if she found the pattern, but she sure could have been nice, I am a customer and was there before the phone call came in, this was my first time in the shop and I won't return. I am a longarmer and frequent quilt shops, I was disappointed by the lack of friendliness!! read more

Spoke to the guy behind the desk got no response went all the way through the store there merchandise is ridiculously overpriced, went back to the front desk stood there in front of the used gun section, never got a response from the guy behind the desk at that point, so I just walked out.
