Then billed medical, but they're a dentist you say, and you'd be correct. After getting an EOB that they were NOT paid from my medical insurance, who explained that they don't cover DENTAL work (duh), I took it upon my self to get my dental insurance in this, and got the matter resolved, called Shahan office, got them straight, and low and behold the next month they're getting paid. Then I got a letter (2 days BEFORE my EOB showed up from Insurance) that was written with quite a nasty tone about not being paid. Final straw. I was the reason they got paid at all, I'm not even bringing up the fact I paid over half of this out of pocket (yay insurance..). They're miserable and make not effort to hide the fact they do not want to be dealing with you as a CUSTOMER.

Standard line is, we'll submit your insurance and you owe the remainder; however, no where in the information my daughter was told did the staff tell her they were OUT-of-network, were NOT a preferred provider or that they were NOT an in-network provider for any insurance companies. Dr. Pritts has many positive reviews, but my daugher was passed on to the associate dentist who is inexperienced and rough. The waiting room is very nicely decorated and cozy; I almost feel as if I'm at home instead of a business. The hygienists and the dentist are always very personable and friendly. I always enjoy good conversation with Jess when I go for a cleaning (which is pretty impressive since there are often instruments in my mouth). You really get the feeling that the people care about you personally. Paying is also a breeze, as the girl who helps with that is very caring and will take the time to explain all the details and answer any questions you have. There is even a 5% discount if you pay in full. The price is a little more expensive than other dental groups in the area, but I feel it is definitely worth it.
