Talk about preying on the weak and vulnerable. When appealed Surgery supported parking company not their patient, despite confirming I had an appointment and was called in late. Also, so busy you often have to wait outside in the rain to get into the building, can take over 25 minute queueing, have repeatedly witnessed receptionists be appalling to other patients and been greeted with just "Yes" myself, not welcoming at all. Lovely Doctors and Nurses though.

There are two other surgeries, one in Cawood and one in Hemingbrough, which are only open part of the week. As well as a traditional doctor's surgery, they offer an extensive range of special clinics and services from Baby clinics and help with stopping smoking to Asthma and Diabetes. After closing hours you have to call a local call centre that diverts your call to a doctor on-call at the local Selby War Memorial Hospital. Some have complained about the service but I have always found it excellent.

The place is expensive, and whilst it is possible to find vouchers etc to reduce the cost it still feels over-priced for what it is. But the biggest complaint is the tacky feel to the place -- it looks cheap and plastic, and not the sort of place where you'd be comfortable spending a whole day (which you'd have to to make the entrance fee worthwhile). There's also a shortage of places to eat lunch, which is awkward because it can get very busy (particularly in the summer holidays). On the plus-side, the animals seem to be well-cared for, and there are quite a few demonstrations etc -- but all in all, I'm afraid we're unlikely to visit again.
