(I could only assume this must be what Hell is like), I had to get to McDonald's for some portable ketchup. We ended up here on our way to the Loire. The place was packed on a Sunday, but clean enough and the employees were cordial, despite the minimal interaction thanks to the automated ordering system (no need to embarrass myself trying to speak French). That ketchup cost 2€ BTW, for 6 packets.

"The best sandwiches on the planet" is what she said. I don't know about that, but what we had was pretty good. They had 3 choices, a ham and cheese, a plain cheese and a prosciutto with confit tomatoes and arugula. The best part, of course, was the bread. Such a great, fresh baguette. They warmed it up a bit, and it was perfect. If you ever find yourself in Epernay, hit this place up.
