I forgot to review this place earlier but I have been to Petes Cycle, Glen Burnie Motorsports, Used Bike Emporium, East Side Chop shop, Cycle World (a long time ago) and even Heysers in Laurel. ALL of them have failed at servicing my bikes. From forgetting to put oil in a bike, to not even putting the fork bolts back in, and the most common one....damaging wheels during mount and balance. After years of trial and error finding a place. This is the ONLY place I will ever take my ride to for service period. Dave knows his stuff, he treats everything like its his own. Rachel is really good at customer service and will genuinely guide you through the process over the phone. I just wished they could do recalls because I HATE the thought of taking my bike anywhere else. I know this is out of their control. Thanks guys for all you do. read more

Second trip to R&D. This time they installed a second battery on my new boat. They prewired breakers in for a future amplifier. Gave me many tips on certain things and was extremely knowledgeable. He has been working on my jet ski since I bought it and it runs like a champ. He has a fair rate structure and works with you to help keep costs in line with your budget. In addition, he has a full assortment of supplies and accessories which he can order for you and they usually arrive within a few days - The best part is that he is an avid adventure sports guy, so he knows how most of the products hold up under the normal and not-so-normal use. I agree with the 5 star review of this establishment. I was in a rush to get my Sea Doo serviced and Rachel and Dave went out of their way to fit me in within 3 days! It's the only place I know of who has a mobile service which is of great importance to me. No hassle driving it somewhere. Completely thorough diagnostic of my "vehicle" and an email with a computerized diagnostic....just like an automobile! Much, much better than the place from which I bought it or the marina (although in fairness most marina guys hate doing "jet skis). That being said I am extremely confident that this business wants repeat business. My boat mechanic recommended them and I have already scheduled my winterization. Very impressed with friendliness, no nonsense, and great service. My vstrom had been repaired by another shop (I had a get off) and the fit of the front fairings was off by over a quarter's width. I tried a couple other shops and it seemed too much trouble to take the front end apart to find the problem even though insurance was covering all labor and any parts if needed. I spoke to Rachel @ R and D and dropped the bike next day not knowing how long it might take. My bike is my only vehicle. Dave had it apart and back together correctly in two hours. That was outstanding and then as I was leaving it came to light I needed back brake pads. Dave had them in stock and installed them in twenty minutes for me. Again, outstanding imo, yet this seems standard operating procedure at his shop. Highly recommend Dave and Rachel. I would not take my bike to any other area shops. Very reasonable price was as well. read more

See my other review for Cycle Finish. As I was not able to remove the parts on my bike for painting I had Dave at R&D do it for me. I was also having great trouble finding black powder coated crash bars and a skid plate for my 2006 V-Strom. Dave not only dismantled my bike passing to Ron for painting but he was also able to track down a set of the powder coated crash bars and skid plate. Seeing how I was back in DC Dave would call and let me know the progress of how things were coming along. When I went to get the bike, it just looked great with the new paint job from Ron but also the new crash bars and skid plate that I had found impossible to find - that really set the bike off. A really great and professional job from Dave and I would recommend him to anyone.... read more
