I saw Christophe today for a 'demi-tete balyage', which is highlights for all us blondes out there…read more I asked for delicate, natural-looking highlights maybe one or two shades darker than my ends, which are pretty blonde. Christophe listened, and was a perfectionist. He took his time and I knew immediately my head was in good hands. My blonde highlights turned out PERFECT. Soft and subtle, not all blond, not streaky and not bunchy. PERFECT, I repeat.
I saw Jordan for the drying of the hair and the round-brushing. For a half-head of balyage I paid 105 Euro, about double what I pay in the US. I guess that's about normal, I think. Anyway, the joy is it turned out perfect. I'm happy.
UPDATE: I went there again two months later and had great results again. Here's why I'm updating. It's expensive and there are hidden charges Americans aren't used to.
Total price for highlights: $178.00 DAMN!
Here's the breakdown of the receipt:
3 Euro for shampoo (NOT free like in the US)
18 Euro for conditioner (NOT free like in the US)
40 Euro for blowdry (NOT free like in the US)
70 Euro for highlights, called 'Flash'. That price is right.
Watch out for the conditioner and the blowdry. Walk out wet if you must, and save your $$$.
PS: Tips are INCLUDED in the prices already. There is no need to leave a tip. That helps soften the blow, somewhat.
