Christmas Eve. We are in the computer room using them. I go to print. The light flickers as it always does. No big deal. Then it flickered and was gone. Called one 24 hour place and they were like next week? Um no. Called Rich next. He was out here in less than an hour, had a good idea what was wrong. He did a lot of troubleshooting. One of our outlets was quite faulty after all these years. He replaced it and everything is fine. He even tried to give is a discount for the holidays, but we paid him more because it's the holidays. He reset a GFI (which I wasn't able to do), check the outlets and replaced an outside outlet that was installed incorrected, and installed the new ceiling fixture.
