Three of us went and two ordered the Cajun trio, one chicken. The gumbo was quite possibly the worst I've ever had. I gagged eating it and both that had it ended up with food poising. The chicken seemed fine. Great waitress, however the food was terrible. read more

I don't give 1 star reviews, but this place was so disappointing. The server however, was very nice. The "Cajun" food was bland and seafood especially seemed old. I think they served us leftovers from a catering event. No joke, then charged us upscale prices. I will say at least the corn was good. Landry's has a really unique, New Orleans' style atmosphere complete with the music and drinks. The food, however, was very mediocre-- and expensive to boot. The flavors taste similar to those found in Creole country, the problem is that the amount of food and the prices do not match in any way. For $8-12 this place would be pretty good... but $15-25 is not justifiable. read more

I ordered the boiler for 1. The crawfish tasted horrible. They tasted like they had been boiled, frozen then reheated. The platter costs $49.99. When the waitress asked me how the food was I told her. She took $10.00 off of my ticket. She didn't even offer to replace the food I couldn't eat. I'm from Louisiana. If you are going to claim to cook cajun and creole food make sure you can cook it. My husband and I were extremely disappointed. read more

We had a large group that was trying to find a place to accommodate all of us and they did without any issues! Our waitress was amazing and we didn't have any issues at all. Meh. Stopped passing through town. Large portions, not much flavor. Way too big for lunch. I would recommend splitting a dish because they are so huge. My po boy was just ok. Both the French fries and the gumbo were lacking. However, the service was very friendly. Growing up on the Gulf Coast made me a total snob toward seafood and anything branding itself as "New Orleans-style" or "Cajun." So, I was happy to find R Landry's here in Fort Smith because the food is really exceptional. I am a big fan of the shrimp etouffee, though the seafood pasta is also a pretty solid choice. The red beans and rice is another favorite as well, though I usually stick to just ordering a cup of it. We also like to get the seafood boilers and if you do, be prepared to stay a while because it's a lot of food! And I would be remiss to say you absolutely must try the bread pudding. If an asteroid were hurtling toward the Earth and I had time for one last meal, it might include bread pudding from R Landry's. R Landry's reminds me a bit of New Orleans in its atmosphere and decor. You also want to be careful going here in the warmer months as the a/c can be a bit hit or miss. This is one of the places we go to celebrate good news and the reason why is because the food is just that good. read more

The food is really great. I've been stuck on the Seafood Pasta the last few times I have visited. The crawfish in it is perfect. The bread pudding is to die for. Great dressing on the salad too. Huge portions. I enjoy live music. That being said, I believe R. Landry's is a little too small to enjoy the live music AND have a conversation. So, If you're afraid of saying something stupid on a first date definitely go on a night when they have a band (nearly every night). Otherwise, get there early in the evening and enjoy the band after your meal. Landry's is my favorite restaurant in town! read more

I've been a loyal customer to this eatery for over 10 yrs now. Loyalty like that is only possible by consistency. The true heart if this little gem, tucked away in the historic district of downtown is the staff. The waitstaff have been a constant, and are always happy to see me. The owner is greatest, and always makes the effort to stroll the dining area and check to see how your meal is. If something isn't right, she's quick to remedy the situation in any way possible. Though, I can't recall a meal I haven't enjoyed here. This place is a definite must if you find yourself breezing thru the area. I'd suggest name dropping, and mentioning that Matt sent ya, but you may be charged an extra nominal fee for that stunt.. ;) read more

Everything is delicious here. Although all the food is great, the thing to get here is the Ribeye Royale. It is a Ribeye smothered in etoufee over a bed of rice with corn to the side. It is easily my favorite dish. Good service. I recommend coming during off hours. As somebody who doesn't like loud music, this helps me avoid music and get my food in good time. read more

Firstly, they have Woodchuck Pear on draft...WINNER!!!! I typically only go here for lunch since I work next door. My lunch order is always the Crawfish Etoufee, it's creamy with just the right amount of spices and a boatload of crawfish. On the rare occasion that we go to Landry's for dinner I can't resist the boilers! The one person boiler can easily be shared by two people. My only minor complaint (that isn't really a complaint) is the loud music, so I wouldn't recommend going to Landry's when a band is playing if you had conversation in mind. If you want to enjoy some good music and great food then this is the place to go in Fort Smith. :) read more

The food here is amazing! Their étouffée is amazing. The food would easily be considered 5 stars. The portions are very generous and an entree is meant to be shared, or you will have plenty of left overs for another meal or two. The atmosphere is not meant for families. There is a rougher crowd that may sometimes use harsh language. I asked for their beers on draft and half their list was not available (this was on a Friday night as well). Decided to go and try this place on recommendations from hotel staff. Huge mistake. Live band present made it impossible to have a conversation with my girl. Menu sucked. Everything is some form of blackened. Ordered ribeye and salmon. Both tasteless and bland. I've had good Louisiana food, know what blackened should taste like. Got food to go, waited over an hour to get food, wasnt even offered any sort of drink while we waited. Not even the normal water while we looked at the terrible menu. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, not even my enemy. read more

On a VERY busy Friday night, we entered a crowded R Landry's expecting a lengthy wait. The hostess asked us if we didn't mind sharing a large table with another couple, she could seat is immediately. We accepted and were seated. We thought it would be a little strange but all went well. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They checked on us just the right amount. The food was very good. I believe I have (quite happily) eaten my way through the entire delicious menu Their "food with enthusiasm" explodes on your palate and will quickly make you addicted! Absolutely our worst experience ever. While the service and fasciitis were acceptable, the food quality was not. New Orleans is like our second home and I can assure you that nothing about this food is similar to NOLA. The fried foods were all over cooked. The sea food tasted very fishy and old. The calamari was rubbery like a thick rubber band. The seasonings were severely lacking. This place might be acceptable for those who have never been to NOLA, but it is certainly not authentic. read more
