GoRaleigh has made great strides to improve in the past couple of years since I started living in…read morethe city. I do not have a car, so I've had to depend on public transportation and ride-sharing. A majority of the time, it's great. It's efficient, I get to where I need to go in a timely manner (for a bus system) and the drivers are usually quite friendly. I want to preface by saying I enjoy taking the bus, and will continue to do so, as it is reliable and continues to get better as the funding comes in. As with many public services, it's not perfect. There are times the bus is a little too early, or significantly late, however that is not a consistent issue and may depend on the route you take or who your driver is, or if they needed to stop for a significant amount of time to strap in a passenger in a wheelchair. Some drivers are less friendly than others. We all have our bad days, so I get it. Less acceptable, however, are instances where the bus doesn't show up at all. These things do happen, though extremely infrequent, and it's probably due to a freak emergency; I wouldn't know, because they don't report it on their website or TransLoc app when a bus is down. The only other recurring issue (which I have brought up to their customer service) is that some of their buses have trouble reading the 'smart card', and it's a gamble if your bus driver will understand that it's their bus' NFC reader that needs to be rebooted, or if they'll assume you're trying to swindle them. That will depend on the driver, and thankfully it's become an exceedingly rare occurrence as they switch over to newer tech. Those hiccups aside, GoRaleigh is a fairly efficient system, and it's been dependable enough to get me to work and back with few issues. Raleigh has been working hard to improve it's public transportation, and it shows. I hope that the problems I have mentioned are further worked on and ironed out. It can't be perfect, but they can definitely continue to work on commanding a tightly run ship with higher standards. Bus driving isn't an easy job, but that's why they need to hire the best of the best to ensure efficiency. Had the issues I mentioned not been so prevalent, I would have issued 5 stars. I hope in 2020, I will be able to amend my review to reflect their expected and anticipated improvements.

I am currently on the number six that didn't let me off at my stop at Crabtree, a designated transfer stop. The driver let one passenger off, and then closed the doors and I I asked why I couldn't get off. That's when some gross frumpy disgusting PASSENGER ASKED ME WHY I DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE HIS REQUEST... I said it was probably because he didn't work here. Driver who kicked off some little girls for vaping did nothing for me. Also skipped my stop at Crabtree bc of some blue lights.. Missed family dinner for no reason...

Ms. Ruth provided a caring, compassionate and safe experience for me with a smile on her face. From my initial call to Ms. Ruth, she was professional and answered the phone to schedule the appointment. Although she was in a meeting, Ms Ruth returned my call as promised. We worked as a team for a solution to securely assist me down the steps in front of my home until I was safely inside. Ms. Ruth is my angel and knightess in shining armor. I highly recommend this transportation service to anyone looking for an affordable service. They partner with the city for those approved to use the access I-ride program. What a blessing for those needing transportation to doctor's appointments. "Service with a smile" with safety, security and sincerity. Ms. Ruth is my (s)hero. I can't say enough about her and the transportation offered, especially the wheelchair lift for greater accessibility. On a scale of 1-10, my rating would be 100. What a lifesaver.Jim and

Bottom line: Morrisville Smart Shuttle is yet another free resource provided by the town for its…read moreresidents. It is a good ride experience overall. It is done by app, and is pretty good system at the present time. I enjoyed my recent first experience on the shuttle. The Deets: Recently in having a day off, I decided to try out the new Morrisville Smart Shuttle to get to one of the local restaurants here in town. This service is free for the use of the Morrisville residents, a definite plus! The hours of operation per their website FAQs are Mon-Fri 7am-9pm, Sat 8am-8pm, and Sun 8am-7pm (see screen capture pic). There are designated "nodes" or shuttle stops that you can pick up the the shuttle and then go to one of the other "nodes" distributed in the town at various locations. The stops are shown on the shuttle's website. The shuttle is requested by a specific app that can be downloaded to phone/mobile device (again from the town's shuttle webpage, look for it on Yelp business page here). Not sure how this system will work when ridership picks up but works pretty well now, in that you put in your present location/starting "node" and your destination "node" and then the app will show how long it will take until the shuttle arrives at the "node"/stop for you and where it is currently...much like Lyft/Uber/etc. The shuttle bus itself is nice, new, clean and well marked. There is plenty of seating with a large designated area of seating especially for seniors and riders with disabilities. The driver was personable and did a great job, and knowing that a shuttle bus like this may not be the most smooth-as-velvet ride (you do feel the bumps, etc.), it was a good ride overall. It worked well both going to the restaurant location at the shopping center and back to my nearest home "node" as well. I liked this new mode of free public transportation provided by the Town of Morrisville, and it is yet another way that the town is providing for its residents. I am a fan!
