Haven't liked a casual food spot this much! Chickpea bowl 5/5 Breakfast burrito 5/5 Protein smoothie with chai protein powder 5/5 Excellent service! Dare I say this was my fav meal in Portland but it's not open on weekends. It's in a work building and is a fully vegan place! We were there for 3 days and found this spot on the last day! Would come again if we were to visit and would love to spread the name! It's that good!

Great vegan find, enjoyed the full vegan and plant based menu. Brian and his crew were amazing, they helped make minor modifications to my order so my nutritional needs were met. An intimate, inviting experience for vegans who like eating healthy.

I ordered the chai smoothie and was very impressed. Bryan and the other fellow were extremely helpful and I got my food very fast, especially for this unit two person crew. Very impressed and I look forward to making this a regular smoothie spot for my commute!

Cute lil lunch spot! I really enjoyed my late lunch at this cafe! The ScramBowl was flavorful & delicious and the art was a vibe I was visiting Portland and this place came highly recommended by local vegans/vegetarians and I'm so glad I was able to stop and check it out.

Overall: 10/10 Would definitely definitely definitely go back. This is a completely vegan place with delicious options to choose from. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We reached a little after breakfast time but the owner very sweetly accommodated us and allowed us to order something from his breakfast menu. We were visiting Portland for the first time and the owner made a bunch of really great recommendations for a lot of vegan options for food as well as deserts. We were able to try one of them and it was a great restaurant with amazing food. Food: The breakfast burrito was amazing. It was hot and had just the right flavors to satisfy our taste buds. We also got the chickpea bowl and chocolate cheesecake which was nice. Service: Very quick service on food. And the owner's warmth made our trip there totally worth it. Ambiance: The restaurant is inside some sort of corporate building. It's a tiny lil cafe with tables to sit and enjoy the food. Inspite of being a Friday morning, the bldg was very quiet to enjoy the food Will definitely visit again next Portland trip

Ordered the ScramBowl for the kale and tahini dressing. Very good food, exceptional service.

    So much deliciousness!

I was pleasantly surprised by this unassuming little vegan café, tucked away in a downtown office building. The BBQ bowl (BBQ soy curls w. sweet potatoes, kale, purple cabbage and rice) was healthy, hearty and supertasty. I enjoyed chatting with the friendly new owner Brian, who obviously puts his heart into his cooking, and who was generous in offering recommendations for other vegan restaurants around town. He gifted me a chocolate chip cookie, as they were closing for the weekend. It had the appearance of an average cookie, but turned out to be delicious - this coming from a chocolate chip cookie aficionado. On my next visit, they'd gone completely gluten free. So no cookie that time, but I understand they have some gluten-free treats in the works. Hours are limited (M-F 9am-2pm?), so check or call before going. Long live Rabbits Café!

If you want food cooked with love and care give Rabbits Cafe the opportunity. Located in the Bancorp tower, the vegan options are excellent and freshly made to order. The breakfast burrito topped off w/their house hot sauce is spicy delight. If you don't like hot sauce the burrito is full of flavor and quality ingredients. Take the time to eat what may be the best vegan food in the area.

Super good vegan food in downtown Portland. Just had an awesome breakfast! Also, got food to go.

Me and my friend wanted to refuel after yoga. We went here for brunch. He suggested it. We both loved it and give it five stars. Healthy, affordable, and nourishing in just the right size portions. We both got the chickpea bowl with chickpeas, lemon curry cauliflower salad, kale in tahini dressing, pickled veggies and brown basmati rice topped with cilantro mint chutney and garma masala spiced almonds. For some reason Yelp is not recognizing the pictures that I upload on my phone so no word and pictures only words for the reviews along with imagination. Recommended to check out if in Portland for a nourishing healthy affordable tasty vegan meal.

This place is built for volume. You can tell. Efficient layout. Assembly-line potential. If bowls were a factory sport, this would be a playoff team. Ordered the Home Grown. Took a quick bathroom break. Came back and -- boom -- bowl was already on the counter. FAST. And it looked elite. Then I saw it. A generous dollop of peanut butter at the top, sprinkled with hemp seeds. I almost got emotional. It felt like flying over your hometown after months away. Familiar. Safe. Right. First bite? Delicious. Smooth. Creamy. Almost like frozen yogurt or soft serve. Easy eating. Crowd-pleasing texture. And then... I looked up. Another bowl was being made. The açaí base was coming out of a soft-serve machine. As a purist, this one hurt. I want hand-scooped. Blender-blade symphony. Crafted, not dispensed. I had a small internal crisis. But here's the problem: I really enjoyed it. So now I'm torn between my values and my taste buds. Would I go back? Yes. Would I wrestle internally again? Also yes. Proud Mary in NE Alberta St, Portland…read more I was excited to come back home to Portland and hit up all my favorite spots in this week but I had to choose carefully because I wasn't taking on the Portland food scene alone, I'm bringing a friend with me who has never been to the city at all. I needed to set the bar high from day one. Proud Mary on Alberta Street was my first move, and it provided a light but delicious first meal paired with great espresso drinks. (And I needed to set the bar high for coffee in town because this friend own her own coffee shop in LA) This is the kind of place I bring people to when I want to show off what this city does best a casual environment with interesting food that doesn't take itself too seriously, in a space that just feels right. I went with the oatmeal and a side of hash, (a hash that has such a unique texture that I think about it pretty often now I love a unique potato eperince) but execution of the seasonal flavors in the oatmeal surprise me every time in the best way. They pay so much attention to detail of he flavor and presentation and that makes even humble dishes feel more special. My friend ordered the spring omelette and it was simple, it could have used a bit more flavor or texture or even an additional protien source but it was good non the less. When our cappuccinos arrived first, I remembered this is an Australian-owned café. Served with a dusting of chocolate powder the way an "apparently" proper Aussie capp should be. Both cups were genuinely excellent. For vegetarians, the menu gives you real options with actual thought behind them and of course their are so many dishes with meat that everyone can love, so that's a huge win for me Who it's for: first-time Portland visitors, coffee lovers, anyone who wants a brunch spot that earns its reputation.
