This small, neighborhood bakery is run by a lithe French woman who seems meticulous with the quality of the breads she puts out. We heard about this place from someone who lives in the neighborhood and at 8am, when we pulled up on a Saturday, there was already a line of people waiting for their dose of freshly baked scones and muffins, baguettes and sourdoughs.
This is a grab-and-go situation, as there's virtually no A/C in the shop, but should you chose to dine in, they have a small menu of breatfast items. Everything from eggs to bread and cheese, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
What's even better, Rabe is super reasonably priced. I recommend stopping in and loading up a number of different breads. read more
