For example- nurse practitioner says to get a test and return in a month. Front desk at check out says they can't get me in for 6 months. Oh well. Mention it to the nurse practitioner and I get an " I am sorry and I know." Very unacceptable and tough conditions or people who work there. I found someone at Banner who looks at the portal and at least makes things happen. Bye bye Copperstate.

She was part of the care team for 2 out of 3 of my high-risk pregnancies while we were stationed in Tucson (my kids are now 4 and 8), and I followed her from Desert Bloom OB/GYN to Copperstate because I trusted her deeply. Unfortunately, that trust did not extend to the Copperstate front desk. I began calling in March 2024 trying to schedule an appointment, and continued doing so through January 2025, but was repeatedly told, "We're not scheduling yet -- we're merging with TMC, call back next month." Every single time, I was given the runaround, despite the fact that I was an established patient in good standing. I tried for nearly a year, only to be brushed off again and again. It felt like I didn't matter to the administrative team at all. Eventually, I gave up and switched to a new GYN elsewhere in Tucson. It's incredibly disappointing that an office I trusted with my health could be so dismissive and disorganized. This one-star review is solely for the front office and management -- not for Taber, who I am sure remains an amazing provider and someone I'll always be grateful for. But no patient -- especially someone already established -- should be treated this way. You can't build trust if you can't even return calls or book appointments.

At 3:45 a receptionist in the back yelled to the people in the lobby ( including myself) from her desk that the NP "Suzie" was running 45 min late. I walked to the other receptionist that was infront and asked her if my nurse was "Suzie" . She confirmed that it was. I told her that since she's 45 min late I was going to run an errand down the street( 7 min away, according to GPS) to grab my son a pizza and not have to wait until rush hour. She said this was fine, since the wait was long. I had to be back by 4:30. I was back by 4:15. The lobby was completely cleared. I was told by the receptionist that they tried calling me. My phone never rang. I never received a voicemail, although they said that it went straight to vm. My phone was never off. I was told to sit down and theyd be with me soon. She came back to tell me that my appointment was given to someone else and I had to reschedule. I explained that I was told by two receptionists - including her, that I had a 45 min wait. I made it with plenty of time and drove almost an hour one way to make my appointment. Not only did I drive early in the morning for a work appointment, but I hung out in Tucson the rest of the day for this appointment. It didn't make sense to drive back home and have to return to my appointment and drive home again! This was a complete waste of time and money, plus I announced that I had complications, and a surgery on 7/21 that I would not be able to come in for any appointments. I was assigned bed rest for a week and immediately afterward would start my school year as a teacher at my new school and coaching afterschool. I had zero time for another drs. appointment . They didn't seem to care. No response. I told them that I would not be a client of theirs anymore.

I had an extremely disturbing experience with a nurse named Bernadette during my pregnancy, and…read moresharing this for the sake of other families. At our 13-week scan, she told us that due to an anomaly, our baby had only a 20% chance of viability. TWENTY PERCENT chance of viability. She sent us into mourning. In the same conversation, she immediately suggested abortion and mentioned she "knew of a good place." We made it clear that this was not under consideration. Despite that, she brought it up three more times in subsequent interactions. When our NIPT results came back, she approached the situation with an overwhelmingly negative tone and suggested termination yet again. Fortunately, we reviewed the results first and conducted our own research before her doom-and-gloom phone call. Later, when we met with a maternal-fetal medicine doctor and geneticist, we were told, by BOTH of them, that our baby's chances of viability were comparable to ANY OTHER pregnancy. This raises SERIOUS concerns about the accuracy and framing of the information we received. I believe Bernadette has an agenda for termination. This experience was deeply upsetting and traumatic. Medical professionals are in a position of trust, and the way information is communicated, especially in vulnerable moments, matters immensely. If I were a weak mother, I might have believed her. Trusted her. Can you imagine how many weaker mothers she has manipulated into termination?? Seek second opinions and advocate for yourself. And avoid Bernadette as if your life depends on it, because your baby's life does. For the record, our son is here today and thriving.

I've been telling my Dr that I've been feeling lethargic, tired and lack energy despite boxing four times a week, eating healthy and losing 30 lbs. Dawson took a great history and tested me for the things your regular Dr won't! Found out I had very low Vitamin D levels (makes sense since I avoid the Sun) and had other blood levels that were out of whack. So several weeks of different therapies to include additional the additional vitamin D and I feel so much better. The best thing about going to Alaris Center is that Dawson really listens to what you have to say and take her time to take a great history. No "in and out in 15 minutes" like with other Drs! I'm very particular with my heath and who I trust with my heath care and Dawson really fits the bill. So if you're looking to lose weight, boost your energy levels I highly suggest you make an appointment to see Dawson at the Alaris Center, you won't be disappointed!

However, my birthing experience was pretty good with a few hiccups. Birthing experience: my nurses were phenomenal. They were caring and accommodating. When complications arose, the physician on call was flexible and did pivot. I don't want to imagine what my delivery would have been like without Stephanie. She's literally an angel. But honestly all of my team was amazing and went above and beyond. After birth: mom and baby unit I had extremely caring nurses and patient care technicians. They made me experience 10x better.
