A very nice national park not far from the capital. Kampinoski is huge, and warrants repeated…read morevisits in order to fully explore the park. I was there recently for a quiet, late winter hike. The trails are well marked, well kept, and generally accessible for a variety of activities including: hiking, nordic walking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The area is generally low-land, with a few hills in spots. It makes for easy hiking - great for long distance hikes without a lot of challenge. The only down side to this flat land is that trails are wet. Even on a cooler day, with some snow still on the ground, I encountered a lot of puddles and some flooded areas. The yellow trail to Truskaw was reportedly impassible in just trail shoes according to a fellow park visitor. I haven't visited in the spring, but I imagine all this water means lots of insects come warmer temperatures. Kampinoski is definitely worth a trip, and with its proximity to the city, it makes for an easy get away location. If you're using public transport, be sure to check the bus schedules because only a few buses (zone 2) go out to this area from the metropolitan area.

Comparatively, this pool is much nicer, but always crowded, and the shallow area is small. We were always competing with little kids learning to swim. The large olympic-sized pool is fantastic though, and this is a perfect place to take the kids. The place was in the process of renovations if I remember correctly, but was schedule to be finished soon. It's definitely worth checking out if you have kids.

This place is massive! My 19 month old goes here at least once a week, has a blast, and is…read moreexhausted after. It can be chaotic at times, but generally the older children are fairly considerate of the toddlers, so while I stay pretty close to her since she's so small, I don't need to be physically attached to her the whole time. Lots of climbing, huge slides! Warning, some slides are faster than others so do a little investigating before dumping your child in one in case they get scared. The first time I ate at the restaurant, the food was AMAZING! The second time it was just ok. So, dining is hit or miss but if you get lucky it's a pretty great meal all around. Warning - let the front desk guys know when you go to the restaurant so they don't charge you for your time while eating. Fun place! Glad it exists.
