I have been trying to find a new brow place since moving to Sugar House and leaving my beloved Milly at Always Smooth in Taylorsville. I have been to Lunch Box a few times but haven't left a review because I wasn't ready to commit, but after some unsatisfactory experiences at other places I think I need to accept this will be my new go-to place. My only hesitation was the price: $23 seems like a lot for a brow wax, is that just me? I feel like it's a $15 service, so I've been trying to find other options but I think I need to accept that $23 is worth it for the convivence, location, and level of service here. They are so easy to get to, right in the main shopping center of Sugar House so you can stop in while running errands. They are super easy to schedule with, and the salon is spotlessly clean. They are also quick, which is important to me - I'm usually in and out in 10-15 minutes. Everyone I have seen has a been lovely, but I took Maddie's card after my most recent visit because she was so wonderful, hopefully I can schedule with her again. Call me crazy, but although thick, bold brows are in I like mine on the thinner side (I'm not talking early 2000's thin, just thinner than the current Instagram Brow trend). Whenever I tell a waxer that they smile and nod but still go thicker than I want, even when I show them the spots I'd like cleaned up, and I end up doing extra plucking when I get home. However, Maddie did exactly what I asked and I am so happy with how they look! I really appreciate how she listened and paid attention to what I wanted, instead of what she maybe thought I should do (brows are very personal!). I'm a "newbie" to LunchBox Wax as I've relocated to the SLC area from my hometown of Vegas. I typically travel back home frequently and was always able to make my appointment for brow waxing before heading back to SLC. Well due to the unforeseen circumstances of the Covid19 Pandemic & Nevada being on a complete lockdown & as a high risk person I've self isolated here in SLC. I spent many hours researching where to jump in and find a more local waxing salon. I came across LunchBox on Yelp & I checked out their website of services & was quite impressed, they are a little more pricier then my local Vegas waxing company, I do have to say that they've set the bar high, but LunchBox is close to what I'm use to and they had a first timers special online. I'm glad I made the appointment as my brows were beginning to look like caterpillars.upon my arrival I received a text message stating my waxologiet was ready & not to forget my mask. I walked in the shop was clean and they're following the CDC guidelines w/ social distancing and required face masks. I'm super happy with the professionalism and courtesy of Hallie! These BROWS of mine needed some TLC --it's been almost 2 1/2 months since their last wax Hallie did an awesome job helping them get from a caterpillar to their original shape! Hallie booked my second appointment, I asked if I could book with her she said unfortunately she's not typically at this location (I'm not a big fan of change...obviously) but set me up w/ Mackenzie & recommends her HIGHLY (so I'm excited to meet her my next time in) All in all I highly recommend LinchBox Wax I don't think you'll be disappointed...I know I wasn't!! I will be back.... I do have a couple suggestions to the website guru you may want to put a note for First Timers to arrive a couple minutes early to fill out paperwork or make it accessible to complete before the appointment time and to also add that face masks are required due to Covid19, I typically have one on hand but for those who are new or existing clients to know as it can be too late by the time the text is received that the waxologist is ready and to enter the business. read more

I'll never go here again. Ive been a consistent customer UNTIL today. Never again. Extremely disappointed with the service and communication. I scheduled a full Brazilian and underarm. I was running late, called to let them know, and said I was willing to forgo to underarm. Apparently they only allowed 20 min for my appointment, so when I showed up, they said, we only have 6 min to get you done. They said they couldn't do my underarms. I agreed. I ended up with a bikini wax. 2 quick strips and I was told to get dressed because "my next girl is here". I asked how long they booked my appointment for (2 services), and the waxer said "well, I'm fast, so we booked 20 minutes". I said I didn't want to pay for the service since it wasn't a fraction of what I wanted. Manager charged me for the service and said "I feel like there was a lack of communication here". Ummmmm yeah! So now I've booked another appointment at a different place to get what I actually need. I'll never go back to this location and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know. ****In response to the "business owner's" response. I WAS in fact charged for the service. I asked not to be and both the waxer AND the manager were adamant that I pay. I usually go to EWC because I buy their packaged plans for the Brazilian wax, however , lately I've been dissatisfied because of the kind of wax that EWC uses , which happens to be hard wax. The waxes I would have there were often times painful and they would kiss hairs as well. I decided to give Lunchbox Wax a try because of their great reviews. The first wax I had was with Elvie and it was fast and painless. She used soft wax which surprisingly did the job very well. She was also thorough and professional. The second wax was with Ellie and she was very professional and easy going. She performed the wax very well and minimally painful. Although price wise , I consider it a little bit more expensive, however I care more about the quality of care and that is what I am paying for here, so I am happy to pay more to get a great wax. read more

Really beautiful and clean salon and kind staff. Just disappointed with the actual service and for the price. Although my technician was great with talking through the products and the process - but she did not get all the hair on my Brazilian. And this wasn't little short regrowth hair. This was long regrowth hair. So I have areas where I can tweeze the hairs. Also, I was left with wax stuck on my Brazilian. I started going her for lip and brows occasionally. I'm capable of doing those myself, but it's a pretty poor job. I just went in for a Brazilian and OH MY. I recently got one from a friend and LunchBox did a much better job. My skin doesn't feel raw and I was in and out in under 15 minutes. Granted, I'm still pretty thin from my last wax. I love this place!! I moved to SLC two years ago and have been seeing Karlie ever since at the Sugarhouse location. The facilities are extremely clean and all the girls are very professional. They use strip wax for the Brazilians, but you would never be able to tell with the lotion and prep they perform prior to laying the wax.
