We almost skipped visiting because we couldn't get a reservation outdoors, but I'm so glad we didn't! We decided to snap up one of the restaurant's indoor reservations. This place is popular, for good reason. The food is fresh and really high-end. It's all vegetarian, so I was a little overwhelmed by the plethora of options. The menu is also super diverse, featuring cuisines from all around the world. I started with a Radler, and honestly, it was one of the best I've had in Germany-- sweet, but not too sweet, and really refreshing. My dining partner and I started with potato dishes (sweet potato fries and patatas brava) which came with a variety of sauces-- the aioli and mango sauces were our favorites. I went with the potato gratin, which was plated in a very lovely way with edible flowers. It tasted as good as it looked. We went with a chocolate pudding and tiramisu for dessert, and both were tasty as expected. The portions are small and on the pricer side, but the food is still very filling and executed extremely well. Service was a bit on the slow side because the kitchen was very busy, but we didn't mind. This kind of food and atmosphere you definitely want to savor. The serving staff were all very kind and attentive, and we had a lovely time. If you're looking for a fresh and healthy, higher-end dining experience in Darmstadt, Radieschen is definitely worth a check out-- just be sure to call ahead and make reservations well in advance! Trust me, the effort is definitely worth it. read more
