It is open till 7pm. It stocks bread, eggs, milk and other staples. It also has a range of Indian chutneys, beans and other ingredients and a freezer with some Indian meals and interesting fish. There is a good range of papers, magazines and, importantly for a shop nearly next door to a school, comics. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

The range isn't great here, so it's definitely not the best for CDs or DVDs, but if you're in a last-minute hurry, you could do worse. It's best for good-quality stationery and a good range of magazines. It's very conveniently located and I've never found the queues to be too long, which makes a nice change from the central Oxford branch.
