Also, there is a second El Corte Ingles just around the corner (in the Avenida Maissonnave 53, 03003 Alicante), just 3 walking minutes away. There, some departments are much bigger (e.g. suitcases or sunglases).

The other El Corte Ingles seems a bit smaller although it also has quite a number of floors. It has a big department for music (CD, DVD, and blue-ray), films (DVD and blue-ray) and books.

They also have a parking, which can become very handy in high season. When I left my keys inside and closed the door, they came right away, even thought it was midnight.

The hotel, and Toni and Sofia's hospitality were top notch and unparalleled by any other hotel. The food was phenomenal, highlighted by a 10 course dinner on Saturday evening...WOW! This place honestly has a magical feel to it, and is a hidden gem in my book. We frequently discuss when we can return and spend a week or two simply relaxing on the patio and hiking in the area. If you are on the Valencia coast, make sure to stay here!

I did not have a great impression of this place. I will say, they seem to treat their staff well;…read morethey are kind, warm. welcoming, and were very patient with me fumbling through Spanish after not speaking it for a few years. However, the room was uninviting - the furniture was crappy, the decor was boring, the elevator was one of those annoying types that you have to pass your key over the sensor several times or it might forget what floor you want. The breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about. And they had a nice big bathtub so I had a lovely soak. The view from the 26th floor restaurant was indeed nice, so yay for that! Plus it's close to the main drag. But I personally, I will certainly spend €150+ per night much more thoughtfully next time I'm in Alicante.
