Finally got to check out this show now that it has moved to its new location at Hard Rock. This show has an infinitely better set-up in this new location with a higher stage and graduated seating. The music and the artists are the same. Acoustics are fine and they play snippets of the top rock songs from the '60's-'90's. There are very few "bad" seats but just know that you will be sharing a high top table or a couch depending on what seats you purchased. read more

I've seen this show twice now, and can honesty say this is probably one of the best tribute shows in town! And this is coming from someone who barely knows the songs they sing! Bottom line - go see this show! We've seen Raiding the Rock Vault five times already and every time we have a great time. The various musicians from various rock bands get together and play great rock music - and you can tell they love what they do. The venue isn't small and isn't super big either. It's the right size for this show. You get a good view from anywhere and can definitely hear the music. There are a good amounts of tables on the floor, then the bar area is elevated and has a few tables and standing room. We opted for the standing room tickets and had no problem seeing the show and enjoying the music. Show was about an 1 1/2 hours long and we were fine standing the whole time. I think the best tickets/seats would be at the elevated tables in the bar area. From there you get a nice whole view of the show, and since you're elevated people standing in front aren't too much of an issue. I highly recommend this show especially if you like rock music. Parking wise, we parked at The Park and walked over. The Hard Rock Cafe ( where the show is held) offers a 10% discount at the restaurant if you attend the show (before or after). read more

This was pretty decent. The good: the band was really good. the sound was excellent. If you get a chance, look over at the stage lighting and sound guy. That dude was into and it's fun to watch how much he enjoys his job. The bad: I think the visuals could be better. They put up these random images. I get it, but I think it would be better served just to show images and videos of the band whose song is playing. Also, the fun facts that are put up should be on a black and white background. Couldn't really read them. I didn't like that they have have abbreviated versions of some of the biggest hits like "Dream On" but play the full song on some so-so jams like one of Foreigner's jams that was not Juke Box Hero. If you're going to montage, then do it with the so-so songs, not the bangers. We weren't able to get to get a table because they sold out, and that was a bit of fortune because it would have been pricey. And it's not worth the price to have a table, but for $50 dollars it's a good show. So I'd suggest going that route. read more

Sigh...I wish I could tell you this show is as amazing as the reviews say, but we actually didn't even get to see it. Here's why... We bought tickets kinda last minutes (earlier this week), and all that was left was standing room only. Ok, no big deal. We stand for 90 minutes at a real rock concert, why would this be any different?! Well, you walk in, go up to the 3rd floor to check in, and then they say stand anywhere. Where? In front of a table that someone paid for? In front of the bar, in the way of the servers. There is no designated standing room only area. With that being said, they tell you doors are at 7pm for an 8pm show and to start lining up, as it's first come first served. But what is? We got there at 7, and it was pointless. Good thing the tickets were so cheap, because we were so disappointed we left. Now this isn't our first rodeo at the Hard Rock. We went to their Brunch of Broken Dreams over the holidays last year, and everything was also so unorganized. This show was awesome, as they played famous songs from various artists from Queen, Metallica, Journey, White Snake, and other popular bands. If you love Rock and Roll Music, this is a must-see show. It's a rotating cast of musicians from Rock Bands and Rock Shows. There are also two excellent dancers that perform for some of the songs. Be prepared to sing along, and you'll probably be up and dancing by the end of the show. The venue is intimate with different price points from couches up front, tables, and standing room. I recommend that you buy any merchandise. It will get you a free meet and greet with the cast. I have the program with pictures of the cast that is a nice souvenir and only $20. I bring it every show to get new performer's autographs. The only drawback is the location is the Hard Rock Cafe. It's just a bit far from everything. Saw this show on a slow night in Vegas - Monday, 11/21/22. The room wasn't even full, but this great group of musicians and vocalists performed like they were in a sold-out arena! Most everyone in the band could sing (and those lead vocals were great). They each brought their individual style to each song. The guitar players were fabulous... so was the drummer and the keyboardist too. Actually not a weak link in the group! The song choices were spot on and they shared the spotlight nicely. Their harmonies were spectacular! I am not sure I can choose a favorite from the night. The ONLY thing that I could have done without is the two female dancers that showed up on a couple of songs. There was absolutely no need for that distraction. These artists put on an awesome show and watching them play and interact with the crowd was more than enough. If that is not enough for some people that aren't true rock music lovers, they scrolled miscellaneous facts about the band and/or the song they were covering. I Love, Love Loved this show! We went July 23 at the RIO to see this show...I saw it before at Tropicana, but this experience was WAY better, because I was literally a few feet from the performers. The guitar players often came out on the cat walks by the audience and the lead vocalists moved around where everyone got a great view. The talent level is amazing...as these are real cats from famous bands. They are not cashing it in, they are into it...into the audience..the more you react the better the show gets in my opinion. I was lucky enough to have some people next to me who wanted to dance it out ...so to speak, so we did..off to the side so we did not hinder the vantage point of others. Awesome! We love classic rock music and this live experience was amazing. The lineup for the show we saw (Jan 2, 2019) was great. They really complimented each other well. They played about a 90 minute set and they fit in a LOT of songs. Most songs were full versions, some were shortened versions and still some were just a sample of a song. All in all - well done. Pro - Proximity to most of the casino restaurants was nice - Line to go into club went real fast - Assigned seating (most of it is reserved seating, there may be a small amount of general admission) - Small, intimate venue - Bar with waitress service - Video screens (great for those to extreme sides of stage) Con - LOUD! This is my 2nd time here and I'm so impressed with the performers here. Everyone is top notch. The mix of old and new rock performers are outstanding. We got our ticket both times from Groupon for around $39 per person. Such a deal. All of the performers played in different bands. Anywhere from Survivor to Dio to Meat Loaf. Certainly the highlight of our Vegas trip. We are a family of 4 with 2 young teenagers and we all had a blast. Our kids knew most of the songs from playing Guitar Hero. We all sang along and danced our way through the entire show. We have visited Vegas many times and have seen all the Cirque shows, Blue Man, Lion King, David Copperfield and more and were just looking for a something we had not seen before. This is one of our favorites now. What an awesome price for a rock concert put on by some of histories best rock performers. They are all top talent and the vocals and live music was a 10 from start to finish. We bought GA seated tickets, arrived an hour prior to show time and were seating in the center 5th row. Not a bad seat in the house. The place appeared full and at capacity by the start of the show. Stay afterwards for autographs and photos in the lobby. We went to our 12th show this past Saturday. Amazing show. The music we love preformed by the musicians who lived it! Best venue they have preformed in. VIP couches up front! One of the best shows that I have seen thus far in Las Vegas. The venue, Vinyl, has one of the best sounds systems ever! Every tune and bass note from the instruments was so crisp and sharp! I was totally blown away by the quality. I was extra impressed by the musicians. Half of the artists are in the Rock and roll hall of fame which is so awww-inspiring! I still can't believe that I saw Hugh McDonald, who does bass for 1 of my favorite bands of all time: Bon Jovi! I would absolutely recommend this show. It is family-friendly , all ages, kids 6 and above are welcome. Everyone will learn about the history of rock and roll music and maybe some new fun facts. I had a comp ticket to see this show last night and I'm glad I went. It was a very good show and I learned something about some of the rock music that I didn't follow. While I liked the entire show, my favorite part was the early numbers--The Doors, The Who and the Rolling Stones. When the Woodstock era ended and we sadly put away our bell bottoms, I took a different musical direction. While I knew many of the songs when I heard them, I could no more identify the name of the song nor the band if Raiding the Rock Vault had not projected the names onto the large screens on stage and on the wings of the theatre. My email about my ticket advised me that the show was LOUD! (sic). I took a pair of ear plugs with me just in case, and while the show was loud, it didn't blow me away nor did anyone near me mind the loudness. To me, it was a standard concert loudness. Periodically, the screens would display historic information about the group or song that was being sung. I found this very helpful because I learned as I listened. Most of the people in the audience were younger than me and most knew almost every word to every song. I was lucky if I could understand the words they were singing let alone know them to sing with the band. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of the playing and singing. The band is fantastic. There's a small story to get the show started--a little goofy--but it serves its purpose and I liked it. As the show goes along, there are periodic pauses when some of the group does some speaking parts/skits on the sides of the stage. It's a bit corny, but it too is OK. It moves the show along from one era to another. I single out for special attention Tracii Guns and Howard Leese on guitar. Wow are they good! The box office person gave me a great seat, the 4th row center, but part of the center section begins with the 3rd row because they've built a ramp for the performers to stand when featuring them. It was a great seat (see my photos). As for vocals, the two I enjoyed the most were Andrew Freeman and Robin McAuley. John Payne, a singer and the producer, was also very good. The lighting for the show was very well done and the laser light effects were quite good! And a word about the LVH Theatre. Since I was there the last time, they have redone the room. The old wooden seats are gone and have been replaced with newer seats with cushioning. They're fairly comfortable. Also, as stated above, they've built out the front, center of the stage and if you're lucky to get a ticket in that area, you have a great view of the performers up close. Regardless, the venue has 4 large screens that display the action so anyone can see well. Since you're here for the music, you really don't have to see them that up close either. I recommend this show very highly especially if you're a fan of rock music of the 70s and 80s. I think it's a bit long at exactly two hours, but it certainly is an entertaining two hours with very talented musicians. After seeing this show at the historic LVH Showroom, you know that Elvis has left the building. And so has Manilow. read more

I love this show! Front row seats for the latest trip down memory lane - hearing some of the finest rock musicians in the world - tear through classic rock songs. The lineup has changed each time I've seen the show but there are more than enough players to support the songs. The lead singers and guitarists are the highlight of the show. Strutting around the stage and singing in incredible fashion is difficult every night. These guys make it look like second nature. Paul Shortino and Robin McAuley are a real hoot and not to be missed. The show moves quickly for an hour and a half without a break. There are a few lulls when they play some more mellow rock standards - but most of it is hard driving full force rock and roll. The venue at the Hard Rock is great for this show. Not a bad seat in the place and not a bad idea to bring some earplugs if you still have your hearing. read more

No bad pun intended but this show rocks! This isn't just a cover/tribute show, you get some guys who have really played in these famous bands. A couple of the skits later in the show went a little long and are kinda lame so maybe they could cut those and work in a few more songs! It's a smaller theatre so you can't go wrong with general admission seats and there really isn't a bad seat, first come first service though so people start lining up around 7:30 for an 8pm show. I was able to get discount tickets through Groupon and Tix4Tonight sells em too. If you like rock from the 60s, 70s, or 80s you'll enjoy this show! This show was truly a rock concert with music of 60's-80's bands such as Bon Jovi, Journey, Van Halen, Free, and the Who. The sole weakness was during the closing credits when every participant and their next of kin were introduced. It was dragged on for so long we ended up departing before the end. Guns, Paul Shortino from Quiet Riot, John Payne of Survivor, Jay Schellen from Asia, Andrew Freeman who played with the Lynch Mob, & The Offspring. Michael T. Ross from Lita Ford throws great keyboard into the mix. The band performs some of the greatest Rock Songs of all time. Songs like... My Generation, Light My Fire, Watchtower, All Right Now, Stairway To Heaven, Smoke On The Water, Hotel California, We Are The Champions, Living On A Prayer, Juke Box Hero, Jump & many more hits! In between decades, the actors add a comical rendition of what rockers were like during those decades, following 4 people, through a time machine. The line up is always changing, and interesting. We had a great time at this show. The guys and gals in the group are all very talented and come from legitimate former or current roles in other bands (i.e. Bon Jovi, Offspring, Bad Company, etc.). Some are older, but rock out in spite of it. Others still perform as though the show were taking place in the era from which they came. This adds a flair of parody, perhaps unintentional, which I thought was brilliant. You can laugh and headbang at the same time! The set list changes based on, I'm guessing, who is in the show you're watching and even what's happening in the world at the time. Ours, for example, had Born in the USA in it, which was appropriate (or not, if you understand what that song is really about) given we were there on Independence Day. The song I was most impressed by was Stairway to Heaven. I easily recognized it in the first few notes played by the very talented guitarist, but I also cringed a little because it's not an easy song to do well and I wasn't sure what to expect. They didn't disappoint, even with what is arguably the most famous guitar solo or in trying to replicate the challenging vocals. We got the assigned tickets, which cost a few extra bucks, but it's a small venue and there really aren't bad seats. If you want to be close to the stage, choose assigned seats. If you want to save a few bucks and don't mind not being in the middle of it all, general admission is your best bet. We also got to meet the band afterward, and they were all really friendly, taking time to shake my hand and chat a bit with me about a world-famous venue near my hometown that they've all played at some point in their careers (Red Rocks). If you're looking to spend a couple of hours watching some great talent playing songs almost anyone can jam to, this is a great option. I'll go back next time I'm in Vegas. The Hard Rock Hotel is Las Vegas's Palace of Rock. In the Palace of Rock, you don't have to dig far to raid the rock vault. Inside the Vinyl Theater there is a top notch rocking Las Vegas rock show named "Raiding the Rock Vault. that has the critics and Yelper's raving. " As "Raiding the Rock Vault" approaches its 1,000 show on November 25, 2017; it is a smash hit show that has a stellar reputation. Here are a few examples. The Las Vegas Review Journal said, "Pulls out all the stops." Arts Direct.com raves, "You've got to see it to believe it." The Las Vegas Informer boasts, "It just can't get any better." These are just a few of the accolades. With the accolades from entertainment writers and Yelper's, I was convinced that this was the show to see. As "Raiding the Rock Vault" approaches its landmark 1,000 show, I am surprised that I never saw this show before. This is the ultimate rock show for a fan of the classic rock music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The premise of the show is that a group of musicians that originally played in a group join together as a super tribute band performing the super hits from the late 60s to the late 80s. Corresponding to the super hit there is informative displays on the screen. Here are some examples. When they performed "All Right Now," there was a picture of the album art, footage of the band Free, and information corresponding to the band including that Paul Rogers was also in Bad Company. When they played "Dreams" there was the album cover art in the background. Further on when this band did "We are the Champions" there was footage of Queen with the interesting fact that every member of Queen went to college. If the volume kills a few hearing cells, it will leave with new brain cells full of Rock facts. In my opinion, a stellar musical performance takes talented musicians. The musicians that performed on that stage in the intimate Vinyl Theater had played on stages in colossal arenas with major acts. It was interesting watching the dynamics of this musical talent interact as a team pouring out the super hits. The most memorable moments were when a member of the original band performed with the Raiding the Rock Vault band. The two most memorable moments were when the audience applauded Howard Leese of Heart during the Heart hit "Barracuda" and Hugh McDonald of Bon Jovi during Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive." From Slash It was this band of talented musicians that led the audience including me on a musical journey from the Who's "My Generation" to Guns N Rose's "Welcome to the Jungle." Dressed in the rock attire of the era with the video images and facts on the screen, the Palace of Rock was rocking for a good 90 minutes. Below are some of the super hits that they brought to life through a stellar musical performance: A hit by Jimmy Hendrix "Honkey Tonk Woman" - Rolling Stones "Smoke on the Water" "Stairway to Heaven" - Led Zeppelin "Kashmir" - Led Zeppelin "Hotel California" - The Eagles "Heartbreaker" - Pat Benatar "Another Brick in the Wall"-Pink Floyd The theater experience itself was also pleasant. Right off the bat, we saved money by picking up a reduced price ticket at the Tix4Tonight by the MGM Grand. From the Strip it was an inexpensive Uber ride to the Hard Rock Hotel. There was zero problem with the wait on line or venue. Ditto for the seating. From my observation there does not appear to be a bad seat in Vinyl. As far as the volume, zero issues. "Raiding the Rock Vault" is a stellar show that had me rocking and rolling for an electrifying 90 minutes.
