Similar story again this morning with Kim's car where they didn't try to sell me tyres although the tracking did need to be re-aligned. Unlike the guy from the alarm company whose recent inspection was a seeming race against some imaginary clock, their approach is measured and professional and leaves you with the feeling that they've done the job properly. They have a warm & comfortable seating area with a free coffee machine and a window that you can watch them working through or they seem quite happy for you to watch more closely if there's not too much going on. If you decide to give them a try, bear in mind that the entrance is in the end of Lower Church Street. Also, Saturdays are often busy so I usually call ahead to book a slot.

I regularly supply my own parts because the car is no longer manufactured and the parts are hard to source at reasonable prices. They have always accepted this and we have good customer relations. The charges are reasonable and they have always made me aware of what needs to be done before proceeding. I don't think they replace parts unnecessarily. I have had several cars of different makes and models serviced and been entirely satisfied with their work. I know they are constantly busy and can only ascribe that to their loyal customer base. I would recommend them.

On the actual day I turned up and gave him my keys, where he then said "I quoted you about £150?" Seeing as I live nowhere near, I needed my car fixing that day and I had to bite my tongue and just accept they £150 charge. Won't be using them again

I was on my own, and was relieved to have broken down so close to Lavender Motors. Having heard such wonderful reviews, I knew I would be in safe hands and on the road in no time. I walked to the front reception desk and suddenly my relieved feeling was replaced with utter disbelief. After explaining my unfortunate situation, it was returned with "we've been open 3 minutes late already, our tyre guy will want to go home' Yep, 3 minutes. I was shocked by the lack of compassion! I'm 25 and was on my own. Human nature would want to help someone who was stuck if it's within your means. And being a business one would want to make an few extra quid at the end of the week. I was merely holding up your staff's Saturday afternoon. Not to mention not even standing up to ask your mechanic if he was willing to help me.. So whilst your staff were home 3 minutes later than usual, I was still waiting for a mobile mechanic to come out. As a company you need to invest in some decent customer service training.
