It appears they bleach the bathroom floor, which may be clean, but unfortunately for 2 asthmatics, was not very pleasant. The bed was firm, yet comfortable. We had to pull the bed away from the wall to connect to power switches next to the bed and were surprised by the amount of debris behind the bed. After a goods nights kip, we were just showering at around 9am when housekeeping banged on our door. Not happy about that! We were still dressing and book out was 10am, so we were perplexed by that.

They booked us into the Blue Jacket Motel and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. From the outside, the nondescript sign and location don't do justice to the rooms which have clearly been recently renovated. The furniture, fixtures and amenities are better than most I've seen in 4 and 5 star hotels and I have traveled the world numerous times. Aside from the well appointed furniture and fixtures is the bathroom which is pure luxury with a standalone tub we didn't get a chance to use. An open shower with overhead and wall outlets was luxurious, and the invisible drain and industrial quality sink and vanity were also impressive. Finishing touches were the numerous towels and overhead heat lamps which were a nice touch in the cold country winter morning. Final comment on the rooms was the spaciousness ... so nice checking into a room and having plenty of space for luggage and real space to sit and relax. We really enjoyed our time in the Blue Jacket and next time we're visiting ... we're staying here, and being less than less than a mile from our family and friends is a definite plus.
