    Headed to the boat landing.

Does not disappoint. This place is consistently a great spot to grab a bite on the go, or sit and eat of course. Service super and the selection of bagels is excellent.

This should not be $11+ .....

It's good a decent bagel but the cost of $11+ was not worth it. Like always these small/tourist town over charge in my opinion.

Order at the counter type service. Really enjoyed my bagel and bagel chips! Not my favorite coffee but food made up for it!

This place was great! We always pass it when going downtown for brunch and finally decided to stop in. It was super crowded. There isn't much space inside and it was a little loud with all the people inside. That was the only negative. If you like bagels you will love this place. Everything is made on a bagel but they also have non bagel items like wraps and sourdough bread. They offer brunch items and are only open until they sell out of bagels or 3pm at the latest. Wifey got a frank bagel, sausage bacon ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel, it was great. I got a club on sourdough, the chipotle mayo and mustard was a fantastic combo! It also comes with bagel chips. They are good, crispy and seasoned well. I got everything chips and wife got cinnamon sugar chips. We ended up eating outside because it was just a little too claustrophobic inside. She also said her chai latte was top tier and I got a seasonal kettle corn frappe which was also delicious. Their coffee bar is top tier! We will return hungry for more!

Decent spot for a quick breakfast. This was a last minute option while walking around the town. The cashier was not very friendly and seemed annoyed by us being there. The inside is very small and doesn't have much seating. Outside has some tables, and since the weather was nice we sat outside. I loved the many bagel and cream cheese options. I got the bacon egg and cheese bagel on an everything bagel. It was fine. It came with cinnamon bagel chips which were good but could have used more cinnamon sugar and maybe a cream cheese to dip them in. Overall, this is a good spot if you want something quick or to go while exploring Beaufort.

I am so sorry that for our limited time in Beaufort, we opted for this restaurant, based on its good reviews. This is not a flattering review, and I give it two stars only because I myself tend to dismiss one-star reviews as coming from people with an axe to grind. We try to support small, local businesses, but Ocha Noodle Cafe was a waste of our money, and a wasted opportunity in Beaufort to have a satisfying meal-- so maybe I do have an axe to grind given my disappointment, and even anger about how far two of the four dishes were so disliked to the point of no one wanting to eat them for next-day leftovers. Of the four entrees, only one was good-- the flat noodles with broccoli. The calamari was okay. The larb was awful-- it was very salty and the umami flavor was so strong that it crossed the border from flavorful to smelling as though it had started to turn, although it didn't taste off. However, once we were aware of the off-putting pungent odor, all of us lost the desire to eat it. Most of it was thrown out. The Singapore noodles (see pic) were awful and nothing at all like the way Singapore noodles should be. This dish seemed to be made from cut up bits of spaghetti, which has been overcooked-- the noodles were soft and mushy, in a salty, greasy, and slimy sauce. Most of it was thrown out. The waiter, who smiled only when directly facing us, got the orders correct, and didn't let the water glasses go dry.

It had several quail eggs in it... menu did not list soy sauce marinated quail eggs in this soup. The noodles were the texture of basic 25€ noodles from Food Lion. They were al dente, not softened at all. I am all for supporting local businesses this just wasn't pleasing at all. Sara seemed to be annoyed with many people coming in at 630pm. The younger girl ( didn't catch her name) was very sweet and helpful. I always give establishments two try's before I don't return. Next time I will try something else and will come back for another review.

I only hope they still get the reviews because I need to share about the specialness of this family owned restaurant. When hubs and I were stationed in Beaufort, it was our special date spot. To the extent the owner always recognized us from my special man's call ahead to arrange special flowers at the table, etc, which they always accommodated. So cozy and personal and we just adored the food and reasonable prices. My favorite was the Chilean sea bass with Sam rod sauce- which I must tell you has set the bar with every Thai restaurant we've eaten at ever-and won. We moved home to Missouri and set a mission to find a Thai place that met the same bar for taste, price, quality, service, and yes-customer love. We have yet to find it. Each visit back to Beaufort has a visit to Thai Indeed at the top of the list of things to do. My heart breaks I can't include that anymore. Beaufort, you lost with the Chocolate Tree and you've lost again with Thai Indeed. So sad. Seriously, planned trips back there just so we could go to this restaurant!

We could have a very enjoyable conversation. I first ordered their special mojito but it was not what I was expecting. So I sent it back and ordered a gimlet. That was better, although the drink was a bit tart... not sure if brand or quantity of lime juice was the issue. I ordered the salmon, at 120-125 degree temp... well it was still cooked medium instead of medium rare. Tasted good. No sauce, which I asked for. But too salty... unnecessarily salty. I will try again but order RARE and see if they can cook to temp. The roasted potatoes were delicious, but for someone who watches oil intake... way too much oil was used. But I loved the way they smashed them a bit. The vericot verts were cooked to perfection and not salty. Yummy. My husband ordered the grilled tuna. He said his was great. So next time, I may order tuna instead. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

A woodburning furnace crowns the middle of the room, and one could imagine watching the fire pop and dance inside the blackened heater. The team had guzzied up the interior for Christmas, with green garlands, red balls, and a fully decorated tree. The food was incredible: Pimento cheese oozing on top of crackers, a steak smothered in a Diane sauce- mushrooms reduced in a brandy. There were smiles all around as the cream cheese crap dip made the rounds- the bowl was scraped dry by the end. And in the spirit of christmas, the bartender created a margarita with a cinnamon twist- Cranberry on ice with an aged-blanco tequila and a rim dusted with sugar & spice. Service was where the restaurant has room to improve. The server lacked the attentiveness that might be expected in a fine-dining restaurant. And while there is certainly finer dining available around Beaufort and Port Royal, elevated service at this price point would make this restaurant a star.

This is the second time I've been to The Kitchen and I don't even live in South Carolina. This is the perfect solution to not wanting to cook but still getting a delicious hot meal ready for the whole family. They have everything in their fridges and freezers, the only issue is trying to keep it all in-stock all the time because the food is just flying off the shelves. Prices may seem steep at first but one "full" container is easily a meal for two people and at around $20, that's a typical price. The convenience, quality, quantity, and variety of items prevails over the cost. I've tried a good number of items and everything has been delicious. Not salty, not too sweet, not heavy or greasy...just perfectly homemade and well-balanced. The cooking instructions are all exactly on point as well. The Kitchen is what every city needs, well-priced, nutritious food that is ready to grab and go. Everyone working inside is very nice, all items are clearly displayed, signs are easy to read, enough space that it doesn't get crowded everywhere.
