It is a bargain at only $5 per kid to have your kid play here all day. There is a track with peddle cars, ballpit, inflatable pirate ship bouncy castle, climbing wall and lots of other things to keep the kids busy. I have been here with the kids for several hours and it always have to pull them out when it is time to leave. There is plenty of seats and tables for parents and wifi. They also allow outside food and drink so you can get a Tim's from the Mall and bring in with you. The staff are friendly, engaged and good with kids which is not a give in at some places. They also seem to keep busy tidying up after the kids and washing toys. The lady that was on duty in the play area pushed my little guy on a swing. They are the only playplace I have ever seen that offers a child minding service. This is $5 a kid per hour. You are not supposed to leave the mall while your kid is being cared for. The only things I could knock it for was that the place is showing a lot of wear and tear and could do with some freshening up. I also don't like the arcade games- there is a gallery of them right by the play area for little kids. They run in loud demo mode so that you can hear bloops and bleeps all over the place. The way things are set up you have to pass right by them to get to the play area and the game subject matter are not suitable for young kids. They also have lots of candy and junk right by the check out at eye level for kids. I don't like the suggestive selling to kids and it can make it hard to leave.

"The Rez" is my favourite place to enjoy the day with my family…read more Offers a supervised freshwater beach, a playground, picnic tables and hiking trails. There is so much to do! There is a wide, gravel trail (wheelchair accessible just make sure someone able to push through- took grandma & loved it) going around the entire rez (3.4KM) but off this main gravel trail is 2 dozen trails (no official map, just have to look for the openings!) My favourite trail we call "beaver trail" - named because you pass a beaver dam! (have never seen a beaver but always have my camera ready...) To get to the beaver trail: Go clockwise. The opening is 3 minutes after you start on the gravel trail - its wide enough for 1 person so bring your carrier. Also, I've been temped to let my dogs off leash in these trails but one day I came across 2 poripines (they left us alone and we left them alone, no harm) but from then on will not let me doggies off leash (as the sign states lol) There are lots of beaches as well! To get to the best private beach people bring their poochies to: Go clockwise around trail. When you come to bridge take the trail to the right (along the water) There will be other small trails leading off but keep going straight and you come to a beautiful beach. Get out, enjoy and make your own family map of the trails you discover

Boat pup - Paulie - was a great addition chasing out the deer so that we got to see two sightings an older female and a baby running through the woods. There were some great small blueberries and cranberries too. Yellow mushrooms - dont eat those! After a little less than 1.5 hr hike through a small piece of Rockwood Park we were able come back to base and kayak, canoe, paddle boat, or bike boat on Lily Lake. If you have time you can grab a quick snack at the restaurant right on the water. Beautiful place to sit outside on a sunny day and just soak up some nature. Wildlife in the area - raccoons, moose, deer, insects, porcupine, skunks, birds, Canadian geese, etc.

This review is from two points of view, tourist and disability access…read more As with anything within the Fundy area, please take into effect weather and tides The cost was about $9 plus tax and it was good for one day only (other places offer two day passes) This places serves two venues, driving touring and hiking tourist. For the hiking touring, this place is probably your dream come true. The day I as here, the visibility was nill at best. I did go down to one view point where I could somewhat make out a rock formation with a tree on it. They call it a flower pot. The rest of the drive, was just that a drive due to lack of visibility. On my way back the fog lifted enough that I could make cliffs and rocky bottom... I will say that the signage in the page is poor. You come to a lookout for a beach, and to take the trail down you don't know whether to take the trail to the left or right from the lookout. Also unlike other Fundy locations, the signage in regards to the trails (difficulty etc) was poor as well. Never found the beach below. Disability access... yes there are boardwalk spots and boardwalk lookouts... but to get to them is another story! Wheelchair access from my point of view is little to none. For the walking impaired, there are stairs everywhere and some that gave a new level of difficulty. not just to me but also a service dog.... I'm not really impressed, but I did get some good pictures with the receding fog... I recommend thinking twice, if not a third time regarding this place... I look forward to what others have to say about this place. Parking was ample. Staff... saw some but there was no interaction (they were mowing) and the lady at the gate was not what I would call pleasant.

However, nothing could prepare us for our encounter with the true hosts of the park. The mosquitoes . No amount of deet would keep them off. To make matters worse, the park showers were very old, a bit creepy and open to mosquitoes flying in. You basically have to shower and fight mosquitoes at the same time. Brush up on your Kung foo skills before arrival. There are many beautiful locations in and around this park. However, in my honest opinion the setting is similar to a plethora of other coastal locations in Maine (not as far north and less mosquito infested). If visiting in July be sure to come prepared with a good repellent and try to avoid using the park showers if possible.

I knew only that the nearby town Alma is known for its extreme tides. As mosquitos descended upon us, I fully expected to have a crappy time. This was not the case! Fundy is AWESOME. Between the incredible staff, the non-stop educational programs for all ages (we indulged in a fun sing-a-long campfire where hot chocolate was served, a moonlit guided kayak tour, numerous hikes and beach walks, etc) and the well-maintained trails, this is one of the most incredible parks I've ever visited. It has outshined every park I've been to in the US. It's tucked away in true wilderness, the kind of which I've never seen before, not even in Alaska. Miles and miles of open space. It was very green, and the air smelled sweet. And every sign was bilingual, which is exciting for a francophile like me! But it got even more exciting for me: In the national park gift shop, they had two books I illustrated!! I could not believe having traveled all that way and then seeing my own work in the gift shop, that was the coolest!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Fundy's lush waterfalls, excitable bats, cartoonish bullfrogs, abundant wildflowers, fresh air, approachable and friendly interpreters, educational programs, wonderful trails, views and serenity. I'm glad we made the trip! Thank you to all the interpreters of Fundy, especially Pat, for making our trip extraordinary!

I love Magic Mountain. I've gone here almost every year since I was 5; now I'm 25 and am still…read moregoing! I've had friends ask me "But, is there anything for adults to do?" I'm all like "HELLO! It's a water park!" There is more for adults to do than there is for younger children; you do have to be a certain height to go down most of the slides. But, there is a children play area as well! There are about seven awesome water slides; most are body slides but there is one you go down on tubes and another one you go down on a carpet! The slide line-ups are usually long, but they go by faster than you think. The walk up the hill to get to the slides is usually the worst part, especially in the heat! They also have whirlpool, a lazy river and a wave pool. And, dry activities like an arcade and mini-golf (at an extra cost!) You can rent a double inner tube for around $10.00 - great for couples or parents with children. You can use this on the lazy river and the slide! Inside are lounging chairs for your use, you can also rent lockers and there are picnic tables if you wanted to bring your own lunch! Bonus: There is a Beaver Tails located inside!

had a great time, until i got out of the hot tub and noticed hives all over my arms and legs…read more it was a friends birthday so i couldn't exactly just leave, but i didn't go back in the water. funzone could use more staff and rides but that's where we spent the rest of our time after my hives started. feel bad for the teenagers that have to run an entire waterpark and small amusement park on their own though, don't think i saw a single ADULT staff member the entire time i was there (which was 4 hours for context) and would love to know WHY i broke out in hives after getting out of the water.

Winter is here!…read more This spot is a perfect place for a myth to originate from. I don't know if there are any Canadian or First Nation myths that originate with this cave. However I do know of one story told in the Slavic tradition. There is a Russian mythological being called Snegurochka or Snow Maiden. I like the version where she only can come to life in the the winter and melts in the summer. Only to be reborn in next winter snows storm. I can imagine this cave would be the perfect home for a supernatural being like Snegurochka. It took me 45 minutes to walk along the snow packed trail mostly uphill. I'm somewhat of a fast walker too. The little ravine is safe to get to, but quite slippery in some parts. I did see some young couples with small children brave the trail.
