I loved staying here when we were camper-vanning around NZ. We had initially booked 2 nights of camping here, but ended up upgrading to a treehouse the first night! It was a welcomed break from the camper van, with a real bed, TV, and full bathroom. It was pricey, but it was great to treat ourselves in the middle of our travels. The second night we stayed in the camper van and that was fine. They have a cute nature hike, laundry facilities, kitchen area, etc. There is a good restaurant there, Monsoon, and we were given free beers with the purchase of entrees with the tickets we were given at check-in. There is another good restaurant, The Landing, just down the street. It's close to the Franz Josef Glacier and not too far from Fox Glacier (maybe 1/2 hour). It's also down the street from the Glacier Hot Pools. One of the better Holiday Parks we stayed at during our time in NZ. They did not offer WiFi, but I believe you could pay for it -- we did not because the lady at the desk told us it was very slow, so we figured we'd save our money. We ended up using the free WiFi at The Landing restaurant down the street. read more
