It is the best parking right next to the university. It is pretty much a 5 minute walk to downtown San Miguel. It's about 1 dollar an hour American money and I felt my car was safe there. If you put it in your gps you should be able to find it very easily

We were robbed by a transporter orbanos de Guanajuato bus driver today...we were heading to Centro…read moreHistorico. We asked the driver Five times to drop us off. He kept saying yes. It was about 4 pm (16 hrs). He was the driver on bus GU0024. Young, black hair, tattoo on right forearm. After about an hour, which we were told should have been a 20 minute ride, he stopped outside of town on a deserted hill. No one else was on the bus. He told us the bus was not going to centro historico, but the "taxi" in front of the bus (no marking) would take us. Apparently it was a cohort thief. I asked how much, told 5 pesos. When we arrived in town the driver demanded 50! We argued. Paid. About 10 minutes later we saw our bus GU0024 stop in centroid historico. The "taxi" ran up and passed money to the bus driver, both laughing because they robbed us. I am furious.

I had dinner at this restaurant (& at the French one upstairs) and everything we had was excellent…read more 4 years later I especially remember the experience of being there, the excellent customer service, the meal, wine & dessert. I remember the back area where the bathroom is located and there is a wine cellar. upstairs at the French restaurant I remember a great ambiance with live music, wine, charcuterie and yummy desserts. overall, I recommend this place for a nice night out in Guanajuato!

We went to a nearby bar to have a drink while we waited, then went back and were told they had been waiting for us. Then, we were told the kitchen closes at 9. The food was ok, the service was surly. Save your money and go to a non-pretentious place with better service.
