This is a beautiful store! Probably one of the nicer ones on Rodeo! The entrance is incredibly nice with a fountain and beautiful landscaping walking in. The store itself is a couple of levels with a lot of wood and looks old-school, yet modern. The staff is really nice and they like to help whenever they can. Bought the most amazing vintage piece from 1910 yesterday. Eric Van Duzor is stellar! My sister and I were treated like royalty. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. The new bedrooms upstairs are insanely beautiful. This location is absolutely gorgeous and impeccably decorated as one would expect from Ralph. It is highly reminiscent of a Howard Hughes home at its prime, elegant spanish style facade with lush greenery. We came to this location after being at the Robertson store for a mere five minutes. This is the more high end store, carrying Blue Label, Black Label, Purple Label and Collection merchandise. We came for one thing and one thing only, a Black Label suit for my fiance. We told the sales manager our dilemma- my fiance forgot to bring his BL suit for our friend's wedding while traveling from NY. The manager was so accommodating (and might I add, handsome!) and took very good care of us. My fiance was measured immediately and selected a suit that he liked. They assured us that alterations would be rushed and if anything was amiss, we could always take back to the Mansion in NY to be altered further. Also, parking was extremely easy. There is validated parking in back of the store, so don't bother parking in the huge complex. Outstanding service, outstanding products. RL definitely saved the day! read more

Perhaps my favorite store ever. Entering the store takes you away, to a place where people dress better and have manners - Its a place ide like to live in. Yes - the sales people are snooty, you would be too if you dealt with tourists who bought nothing most of the day and constantly hit you in the eyes with camera flash. However, once you make a friend or two amongst the sales associates, everything changes. They recognize you coming, they smile, ask you about your day - the service becomes 5 star. Your thirsty? They have water. Tired? Espresso. Wound up? Champagne. Prices vary because they carry all of the major lines (Polo, RRL, Black Label, Purple Label). But if you shop lower label, prices stay reasonable and the quality is still great. Shopping the higher labels does indeed get expensive, but the quality shoots up drastically - mother of pearl buttons, 14 ply cashmeres and quite possibly the finest knitting I've ever seen. Definitely one of the greatest customer services I've ever seen. Got to the store to return something which didn't work (Christmas gift). Didn't have a receipt, but manager Melvin found the item in the data base by the purchaser' name. Offered me a drink, nuts, presented on a pretty tray. Sales person Stephen was very helpful. Not only he gracefully showed me what they had in stock, but also taught me about different fits RL had. Was very helpful with his recommendations. As other reviewers have said, this store looks amazing! It's not like a department store at all. I think what the brand wants to project is the sense that you're visiting a private estate. It looks more like a mansion with its artistic structure, beautiful paintings, lavish furniture and lush greenery. You have arrived! The merchandise itself is everything one has come to love and expect from Ralph Lauren. It's crafted with quality materials, supremely stylish, colorful and just makes you love putting it on. The issue for me is that there's a 50/50 chance they won't have stuff in my size. I'm not oddly shaped, but they cater mostly to smaller frames. That's what I don't like, to have to travel all the way over there from the Valley to find there is nothing for me to take home. And not always, but sometimes, there's an underlying feeling, as another reviewer pointed out, that when walking in you're not where you're supposed to be. It's a bad thought and I keep telling myself that is all in my head, but sometimes I can't shake the feeling. Like you surely must have gotten there by accident, that you're not prepared to pay $400.00 for a dress shirt, or $800.00 for a cashmere sweater, or $3,000.00 for a suit (I have an appetite for Purple Label). I feel like I have to dress up just to go buy their stuff. But if you go in knowing what you want and what you have to pay for it, then it's amazing. Maybe that's it, you gotta come in what a mindset that you own this. Want champagne while you shop? Of course. Parking is easy, there's a valet just in the rear and if you walk out with something, they offer to put stickers on your ticket, so you don't have to pay. I still leave the attendants a tip, though. Needed a new suit, and spent a good bit of time checking out various stores in the area and came back here because of the awesome customer service (Justiin's awesome!) and the fairly quick turnaround (6 days for a tailored suit vs. 3+ weeks for hugo boss). Oh man what an excellent suit! And my wife and her friend were treated to champagne while I was trying on different suits, and when we came back and were waiting for my suit to be brought down, I got coffee. Served in a teacup with a saucer. Classy classy place. Ended up chatting up the staff about our favorite bbq joints in different parts of LA and made us feel at home and welcome. On Thursday I called the store and had to make two calls before I connected with a real person to help me. I told this woman that I wanted to buy a skirt that I had seen in the store (this was a very expensive skirt). The sales person told me she wasn't in the store but she would text me as soon as she got back in to tell me if they had it in my size. I got no text. The next day I called again and got a voicemail, as no sales person was available (which I don't believe, when I was in on Saturday, and initially saw the skirt, we were practically the only people in the store). So I left a message about the skirt and made it clear I was planning my Saturday around it's availability. I live in Pasadena and so driving to Beverly Hills is something that takes some planning for me. I asked the sales associate to call me back and inform me if they had my size, so I could plan my Saturday. I got no call. I just called the store and tried to speak to a manager. The operator wasn't able to connect me to her. I was told that the manager's phone wasn't working. I was told that I could speak to the assistant manager. That didn't happen either. I got the voice mail of the assistant manager. I am done. I give up. It was a gorgeous skirt and I'm sorry it won't be mine, however at this point it would be mostly a sad talisman of the horrid customer service experience I had with Ralph Lauren Beverly Hills. read more

RL always has great fitting clothes that are well built at a reasonable price. Checked this place out for the first time b/c of their private sale and the sales associates were great! Ended up buying several pairs of shoes and for the ones they didn't have in stock, they ordered from other RL stores for me. For those who are not familiar with the men's shoes at RL, their RLPL shoes are mostly made by Edward Green, if made in England. Their standard RL (not PL) shoes are made by an assortment of manufacturers (including C & J, Allen Edmonds, and unknown Italian manufacturers). In essence, the EG and C & J's are an amazing deal during their private sale. The other makers are more questionable even during their sales. Overall, great presentation, helpful associates. My favorite store in Beverly Hills. I saw a Purple Label alligator jacket for $100,000 here, and also a Purple Label $2200 alligator wallet. I believe that Ralph Lauren alligator/crocodile wallets are the best out of all other alligator/crocodile wallets I have ever seen. This store is truly unique. The entrance is very elegant. The store itself is nicely made, and almost resembles a home. Upstairs you have home items, and downstairs are the clothes for both men and women. The customer service here is seriously top notch. They are so friendly and accomodating and go out of their way to make sure you have exactly what you are looking for! I came to look at their pet section because they had a private sale in addition to the regular sale going on, and I had been eyeing a shirt but didn't want to pay the shipping, so chose to go in and see if they had it here. They didn't have any of it on display anymore, and had stored everything in the back, but the lady took my dog's size and gender and went to the back and pulled everything they had that would fit. I found a shirt that I liked, and asked about the added private sale discount and they had no problems with it. After all the discounts, the shirt came out $25 after tax. Now, if you go look on Petco.com, a polo shirt similar to what I purchased, on sale, ranges from $22-28. Pretax. So this was comparable, if not a bit cheaper, and also it's higher quality and has a good brand to boot! And my pup looks so darn adorable in it! I don't care much for any of their other items, so I wouldn't really come here to shop for anything else. But their private sale for the pets was just too good to pass up! read more

I love Ralph Lauren clothing and enjoy shopping here. I've purchased 2 black label suits, a few shirts and ties. I normally have the same person helping me, but if he's not there sometimes it can be difficult to get the other employees to stop standing around chit chatting and help me out. Reading some of the reviews on here, some people think the staff is rude and snobby. I've shopped here enough times to think they might be. Now, I can definitely understand that being in Beverly Hills the wave of tourists with no intent to buy anything is a daily frustration. Walking in and receiving no customer service should never be what is to be expected from a store of such caliber. You shouldn't need to walk in wearing a 3-piece suit or valet in the back to get help. I live in LA and frequent Rodeo Drive. All throughout the area it's common to receive the champagne quality customer service in stores especially in stores like Tods, Tom Ford, and Zenga. If your objective when going down to Rodeo Drive is to look for exceptional service then this just isn't the store for you. My only advice is go in and purchase from the same associate who will help you time and time again. Should he not be there, be prepared to be assertive. Ralph Lauren is timeless and classic. Men and women alike who wear the brand correctly will always look classy. This particular Ralph Lauren store is my second favorite (the best Ralph Lauren store is on Burlingame Avenue in Burlingame, CA 94011- it's a Ralph Lauren Country Store). The one on Rodeo Drive isn't good for anything but clothes though. If you're looking for bedding and sheets, then you should go to the Ralph Lauren Home Store at the Stanford Mall in Palo Alto, California. I bought something like 30 shirts- button down shirts with the classic pony, polo shirts, polo sweaters, cardigans, silk work-appropriate shirts, and etc and also a pink dress. The pink dress is elegant and feminine and I love the femininity that Ralph Lauren's cocktail dresses represent. The Polo Pony, in my opinion, is the most iconic designed logo ever designed. There's nothing more stylish and appealing than man who wears Ralph Lauren, as opposed to street wear. You bois may think it's cool and cute to dress in joggers, British Knight sneakers and a Pharrell Williams Adidas jacket, but it's not. It's trashy. Ralph Lauren can be worn super casually and also less casually and wearing a snap back that says "Strip Club Veteran" isn't cute. It's cool to your friends, but since you're not gay (maybe you are, though), you should re-think what women would like to see you wear, not your "boy," dawg. read more

Doesn't get much higher end than this. As others have said the space is fantastic. Even if you aren't going to buy a thing I would recommend spending 10 minutes wandering through the store. Who cares if you get a stink eye. If you don't have enough confidence to ignore that junk you got bigger problems than finding a new pair of pants. Anyway, if Ralph Lauren makes it then this store will carry it. They literally have everything that the brand makes and if they don't they'll next day overnight your size. I went here while I was shopping for my wedding tux. It came down between here and Brooks Bros. I ultimately went with a Black Label jacket and Purple label pants/shirt. It was about twice as much as BB would have been but what tipped me over the edge was the that RL was just a bit more stylish and the service/experience just a bit better. I live and work in Brooks Bros., for my wedding I wanted to get away from that get and something just a tad more trendy. I was helped by Stephen(sales rep) and Bill(store manager). Both of them were awesome. Stephen was patient as all hell, seeing me three times over 4 weeks before I pulled the trigger. And Bill hooked me up with 10% off as their made to measure event was going on even though I wasn't getting a bespoke anything. I didn't feel any negative looks or vibes on my visits here but then again I was wearing collared shirts and pants both times. I'm also a white guy so good on me I guess. But then again I'm a little tubby so these things cancel out. Bonuses: Valet in the back which they will validate, but please still tip the driver if he gets you your car quickly. Stephen hooked me up with three hours worth of stickers so I could grab lunch and do more shopping around the area. Public lots nearby are busy but do have 2 hours free also. Water, flat or gas, champagne, pop, whatever. They even have a little waiter man to serve and clean up. Place has more staff than you can shake a stick at. Finding help is easy. Final thoughts: It pricey as all get out. You really can't get much more expensive unless you get into Barney's or legit bespoke suiters. But the quality is there. This is top notch stuff. I wish Stephen had told me about the made to measure. It was a week away from the first time I was in the store and he had to know it was coming. If a friend didn't give me the heads up I would have missed out. But I really appreciated Bill hooking me up in the end. read more

Shawn is the most amazing salesperson that I've ever done business with. He is truly a sartorial advisor. Shawn knows about the product, can match Shirts and Ties with a Suit like magic and will frankly tell you when something doesn't look good on you. Shawn is passionate about Men's Clothing. He is my go-to guy for all my business and casual needs. I enjoy his advice on things such as when to cuff your pants (and how big a cuff you should have), what type of shirts should be worn with a sport coat vs. a suit and much more. His stories about the history of clothing are engaging. I've loved Ralph Lauren's line since I was in college. Back then it was all about the "Polo Blue Label" brand. Now I love the slim fit "Black Label" suits and the ultra-high quality "Purple Label Shirts and Ties". There is nothing as luxurious as a hand-made shirt with high thread count and freshwater pearl buttons. It feels sublime next to your skin and in your hands. I get so many compliments on my clothes, it easy to see that people recognize quality. All of the sales people make me feel at home even when Shawn is not in. I'm treated like a head of state even if I pop-in for just a tie. The store atmosphere is understated in the most elegant way. I look forward to each visit. I'm complaining the Customer Service in store. First, one of the staff was nice and willing to help, we were happy and continued shopping while she held the stuff I wanted to buy at the counter. By the time I was ready to leave and got to the Register, we waited for several minutes until someone showed up. Fine, that's ok. One employee brought another buyer, probably who spent a lot, she was very nice to her and did not even have a eye contact with me even I was there in front of them. Fine, I could wait as she was helping another customer. Another lady brought another customer. A manager looking guy passed by and greeted the first "VIP", because they kind of knew each other. He did not make any contact with me either, not even a word to check if I was being helped. The whole time me and my husband were standing there, none of those three asked us if we need any help, just kept ignoring us after their customers left. Those two ladies were about to walk away, I was like "Excuse me? I need to pay for the thing I buy." One of the staff told me let her to finish what she had, I said I thought you both were about to leave. Then she did not reply. After I paid, she finally had some smile and was nicer. Shawn Young is the best. Decided to get a new shirt and that I'd spend $$$ on it and so I went to Rodeo Drive. Once I got to Ralph Lauren, Shawn figured out exactly what I wanted, pulled a bunch of items to show some really nice options. And the shirt I got was actually less expensive than I was expecting, very impressive considering salespeople work on commission and so I usually expect to be sold the most expensive item. Polo and other clothing companies are a typical example for what is wrong with our society. Spending a $ 1400 on leather pants ? Not a problem in this store just like the cashmere sweater for $ 399, or 699 when its black label or $ 999 when it is purple label. I just started to realize how much they and maybe all other high end stores add on the price of producing clothing, when you just go to Hong Kong or Thailand. You will not believe how cheap stuff is there and the fabric...imported from England. And where did all the jobs go ? Overseas , despite the high end prices they charge.
