    #11. Cold Chicken Sub
    Cris K.

I got the sub and if I'm honest, everything was really good. Except the bread. It was thick, no bite, just cold baked though. I would've really preferred sourdough bread or even just standard Italian sub bread, not the pizza dough kind. Price was good though, for the size. Anyway, the search for the perfect sub continues!

Good solid pizza that is a 4 or 5 star. What makes it a definite 5 star is the owner. He used to work at a desk job and decided to follow his passion and make pizza. Not only is it a great story but he is very personable with his customers - how a business should treat customers. Only had a few plain slices and heated them at home. Crust could be a bit less chewy but otherwise the pizza was spot on. Maybe ordering a fresh pie right out of the oven and eating then would make it even better. Go to Ralpho's if you are in the area - even if you are not right in the area. It is worth the trip to see how an old school establishment is run and how an owner takes pride in his work and his customers.

I've never been to a pizza place where the owner seem ls so passionate about making great pizza for his customers. I love coming here not only because they are beyond welcoming and warm, but because they make the best pizza in the area.

Been going to Ralphos for decades now, since I was a kid. Everything Frank makes is delicious, but his cold subs are amazing!

A Calzone(Sausage) prepared by the owner is inviting. It is definitely well worth $9.

Excellent NY style pies run by a really nice guy. What more can you ask for! For NJ pizza newbies, try the stuffed pizza.

Minimal issue granted. Ordered fried calamari , rice balls , fresh pasta with red sauce and breaded chicken As I went to the bathroom I've noticed that the chicken was in a Ziploc bag, fully cooked breaded Ok so that's one issue you're not taking care of the chicken who knows how long it's been sitting out there I asked the owner when was that chicken cooked? He Was baffled and said every day. I had counted at least 20 chicken cutlets, and that Ziploc bag just thrown on the counter. Calamari comes out small portion cut sizes were horrible like a shoe string soggy , rice balls were really good now comes to my pasta overcooked swimming and tomato sauce that had no taste Yes, the tomato sauce homemade I can tell but no taste. And best of yet the chicken cutlet soggy not crispy placed over my "fresh pasta" horrible experience shared my feedback with the owner and asked if I'm a chef yes, the Guy From from Dave & Buster's I've worked in many restaurants from Good to bad I know exactly what I'm talking about and I have had really good fresh pasta this place is a fraud !! Your pizza might be good but definitely shouldn't be serving the public anything other you should be ashamed representing good Italian food I wish someone would teach you how to represent Italy Cause this isn't it

I noticed that Mavi's has installed wall mounted televisions, which scroll menu items, specials, and upcoming events. This was my first time ordering from their brunch menu and it was outstanding. My Western Omelette (ham, onion, mushroom, pepper, egg, potato, arugula, almond slices) was an excellent choice. Every ingredient was fresh, the eggs were fluffy, and it was accompanied by a side salad and two large slices of multigrain bread. The other items were the artistically presented Avocado Salad (Avocado, tomato, onion crisp, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, arugula mixed salad, almond slices with balsamic glaze and sesame dressing) and the Toowoomba Shrimp Donkatsu (crispy, golden-fried cutlet smothered in a rich, creamy, and spicy Cajun Toowoomba sauce with shrimp, onions, and mushrooms, served alongside a half-portion of pasta). This dish is succulent, creamy, pleasantly spicy, and thoroughly enjoyed. I'll never dine at Mavi's without ordering a Kimchi Bulgogi Pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella, onion, mushroom, bulgogi beef, kimchi, scallion, spicy mayo drizzle). Not only does every ingredient dance in your mouth, but the soft beet infused crust makes this one of the best pizzas I've happily savored.

I was excited to finally order dinner after hearing good things, but my husband and I were unfortunately disappointed with the experience. We ordered takeout for dinner: Toowoomba Shrimp Pasta with Tonkatsu and the Spicy Original Tteokbokki (rice cakes) with Fried Kim-ma-ri (fried seaweed rolls). The shrimp pasta had good flavor but the portion was way too tiny. After only three or four bites, it was gone. There were about 4 pieces of shrimp in the entire dish and they could've added more pasta, given that it's not an expensive ingredient. The tonkatsu was also underwhelming. It was a small piece served in a large container that made the portion size look even more skimpy. I was also disappointed in the tteokbokki. It was mostly sauce with no egg and only a few pieces of fish cake, again served in a container that was far too large for the amount of food provided. The kim-ma-ri pieces were fine but also very small. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. For a total cost of nearly $50, the quantities were just way too small. We were left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry.
