Been going to Ralphos for decades now, since I was a kid. Everything Frank makes is delicious, but his cold subs are amazing!

Good solid pizza that is a 4 or 5 star. What makes it a definite 5 star is the owner. He used to work at a desk job and decided to follow his passion and make pizza. Not only is it a great story but he is very personable with his customers - how a business should treat customers. Only had a few plain slices and heated them at home. Crust could be a bit less chewy but otherwise the pizza was spot on. Maybe ordering a fresh pie right out of the oven and eating then would make it even better. Go to Ralpho's if you are in the area - even if you are not right in the area. It is worth the trip to see how an old school establishment is run and how an owner takes pride in his work and his customers. read more

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. My boyfriend says we must order from them at least once a week and I'm not complaining. Pizza is absolutely delicious, even the crust is amazing (I never eat the crusts but the ones from here are to die for). The speciality pizzas are great, I liked the stuffed pizza and penne vodka pizza. Eggplant parm or eggplant dinner is also amazing. Their homemade sauce is 10/10. I used to go to Ralpho's alot through the years as I lived literally a few houses down from the pizzeria. The pizza is pretty good- its a solid cheese slice with sweet thick tomato sauce made by a guy who loves his daughter and has his walls plastered with pictures of her eating pizza. The large cheese pies on certain days such as Tuesday and Thursdays are under 9 dollars and available for pick up. Other than that his homemade bread served along some of his other meals such as ziti and mussels are solid. Lived around the corner from this place for over 3 decades but haven't been coming here consistently until the last 3-4 years. The owner is a really good guy. He'll make you anything you need. I haven't been a regular until recently bc when I was younger I thought the pizza was sloppily made which it is but the sauce is second to none. It's a bit sweet and it's just fantastic! I have now been living in the Cliffside Park area for about a year now. Lots of new places to try and Ralpho's Pizza is one of these out of the way places that is serving some home style food that is good. In my book, this is what I look for in my weekly date night place. Inexpensive and very tasty. Restaurant has 4 tables and 5 stools. Nothing fancy. It has some age. I like to said it has character and what really counts is the food. Frank, the owner I think, delivered very tasty food with a smile. Wife and I ordered a large pie with half meatballs and half sausage. It was good. Very solid pie. Pizza ratio of ingredients was balanced. Right amount of all the good pizza stuff. It was certainly enjoyable. I will certainly make Ralpho's Pizza a regular stop. While it is a little stark in appearance and ambiance is on the down low; I had a good time. While visiting friends in New Jersey, we were told we had to try this pizza place. We called in and placed an order for pickup. Little did I know that we were 30-45 mins away. That's how good this pizza is, and it was totally worth it. We went in and the owner was incredibly friendly. This is the epitome of a wonderful family owned pizza place. Ralphos and donna are the two pizzerias close to me. I thought donn's pizza tasted like the $1 pizza you get on some corners of manhattan. Or the stuff they serve at public schools. Or prefrozen packaged low end pizza. Both my wife and I really disliked Donna's pizza. Ralpho's is on another level. Their sauce is much sweeter, so some might not like that, but if you don't mind sweetness, this is a better slice. Crust is far superior - made with higher quality ingredients. Sauce is tastier (to us). The cheese seems a bit better tooo. I also like the fact that Frank the owner works there and makes all the food himself. He clearly is proud of his food, and his homemade bread. Always a good sign. This is now my go to local pizza. read more

Ralpo's continues to be the best pizza in the area, which is saying a lot for northern New Jersey. The owner is named Frank (he bought the business 30 years ago and didn't change the name) and is the only one who works there. The bread and dough is made fresh, as are most of the items on the menu. If you have a hankering for something not on the menu but within reason, Frank will accommodate you. It's a great place for take-out (call for the Tuesday and Wednesday specials) and does catering for large and small parties. It's worth leaving your regular pizza place to try his food once. I love Ralpho's. A lot of the ingredients like bread, sauces, etc are made by him, and they make the foods so good!! I have had pizza, cold sandwiches, pastas, meatballs, sausages, and garlic bread so far, and I love them all especially the sausagessss. The portions are HUGE. For cold sandwiches, the ingredients are very fresh. Pasta sauce is delish and not too salty which I love. Foods from many restaurants make me super thirsty afterwards, but I don't have to worry about that with Ralpho's, and I always end up eating way too much. Today I had linguine with vodka sauce, and it was really good. Will def get that from now on. read more
