Placed an order for fried chicken in June for the 4th of July for my granddaughters bday. Went to pick it up and they said they didn't have my order and didn't even have the paperwork for it. Had to rebuy my order and they stated I would get a call from manager Patty by Monday July 6th by 12 noon. No call from them do I called 5 times got hung twice by a live person and 3 times from the system. Called corporate which is no help stated issue need to be resolved in house but how if you can't get thru or if they don't return your calls. Unacceptable customer service. Guess they be seeing me in there tomorrow! Emailed CEO let's see if she reply's or calls me. Will definitely never order from Ralph's deli again. read more

This is a great Ralph store location to visit if you're in the area. Before I wouldn't come to this Ralph location because I prefer another one but since I go to the plaza this grocery store is in a lot now, it's just convenient to stop by here if I need something. There a lot of parking spots here so you shouldn't have any issues and there are other stores here as well if you need other things. This Ralph store has self checkout station and also regular cashier line as well. Be aware that there no butcher for the meat, it's mainly seafood so all the meat are already prepackaged. The produce area is on the right side of the store and the soda are toward the left side where the bakery is as well. When I come to this grocery store, they usually have security at the entrance. It's nicely organized inside and sometime they do some nice decorations with certain items. read more

This is my to go grocery store before work. It's usually not busy in the morning. It gets really busy in the afternoon/evening. They have a variety selection of snacks, sodas, and dairy products. In the morning usually the bakery items are out of stock. They don't have that many options to grab and go. As they are stoking the shelves. They have a variety of plants and flowers by the exit. They have reasonable prices for flower bouquets. For the customer service no complaints. In the morning usually is self check out only. If you purchase alcohol, one of the employees will help you with the transaction. Parking in the morning is awesome . There are plenty of spots to park, but I the afternoon it can be tricky. Overall, a great grocery location. I can find everything on my shopping list. read more

Isles are to narrow not more then 1 tiny cart can fit at a time, its to expensive for no convenience. Never going there I will definitely got out of my way to go to Food4less or anywhere else. read more

This locations is tiny compared to most Ralphs; not only that but the isles can barely fit one person pushing their cart at a time. There are plenty of bizarre customers who shop here who scream or talk to themselves and it's just off putting. And their number of items stacked on the shelves is scarce. read more

Nancy wouldn't sell a 43 year old beer with their own card and valid physical ID. She was happily helping others and charging them except us. She was extremely rude, inconsiderate and was discriminating us. She was constantly rolling her eyes and giving attitude. Finally after 30 minutes, she ended up charging us and validating the ID. She wasted our time and did it on purpose. I never had issues at this Ralph's ever but Nancy makes this place horrible with her attitude. I will warn everyone about her behavior, she is discriminating! read more

The area isn't the best. Some sketchy characters hanging around in the parking lot. The store was busy inside, but that is to be expected on thanksgiving day. I wanted to pickup a veggie tray and a fruit tray to bring to the future in laws thanksgiving lunch in LA. We stopped here because it was close to our destination. I love this Ralphs because it is centrally located from to Laurel Canyon and Ventura. It is convenient to drop in and out of this place as you're passing through the neighborhood. They have ample parking in a large lot and their service is great. This is one of my OG Ralph favorites to frequent before all the markets did their make overs and it felt like ALL the markets got a revamping from the Ralphs on Hazeltine, to the new mega Whole Foods and the new Pavilions all on Ventura. I love the old as much as I love the new. But this is one of the originals that will have my heart forever. read more

This location is pretty much my default grocery store. There are others in the local area but I've been coming here since I was a child with my parents and its just default. This Ralphs doesn't have many options when it comes to produce. I've visited other Ralphs locations and their markets are larger and has more variety to choose from. It could be this location is older than the others I would be comparing to but would love to see a major overhaul within. The market looks outdated, produce needs more variety, their over the counter medicine aisle is a one way. Not very cool. Their deli section needs more work, but they finally have Ralphs sushi. Which isn't the best but its good. Does Ralphs get the job done? For the most part, yes. Being Asian, this location of Ralphs does not fulfill those needs either, but if you're really Asian you would go to an Asian market. But to elaborate on that topic. For the most part, it's a decent place with good variety. I wouldn't say it's amazing though. The people who work here seem to be a little undertrained and/or unenthused about helping customers out. My last experience here went like this.... I spent over $400 on my family's groceries. The checker was quick and polite. He took all my coupons and I know one was expired . While he was checking my groceries, I started bagging them. Soon, a bag person shuffled over, looking extremely disheveled and not wearing a uniform. She seemed super out of place and looked like she hated her life at that current moment. She started bagging my groceries in a way that said, "I hope you go home and discover a smashed mess in each bag." I am not even joking, she bagged my watermelon with my eggs in one bag, and put my milk on top of my grapes in another. It wasn't just that, she was mixing raw chicken with my produce. I know for a fact that all employees get trained to not do these sort of things. It honestly just felt like she didn't care. As I was watching her and continuously trying to re-bag all of her mistakes, I eventually asked her in the most polite way possible, if I could just bag my own groceries. She said yes, and then continues to keep bagging the groceries. I asked her a total of five more times if I could just bag my own groceries. I was starting to think that she didn't even work there. Eventually, I give the cashier this look that said, "please do something about this." I was shocked when she took over his check stand, making it seem like she was a supervisor. The cashier continued to help me bag my groceries, and honestly, his bagging skills were not much better. So I really don't know what to make of that experience except for, either, they're soooo undertrained or they sooooo don't care. No only was the service clerk rude he made wait far too long tab I should have to resolve the matter, it was not difficult to pro Ove I was riothat one chicken was full price and the other was free with purchase, he just didn't want to give it to me because the customer would be right, so tired of Ralph's errors I am not going to shop there anymore ever though I can walk there. I've been coming to this Ralph's for 8 years now because it's so close to home. The cashiers are nice and friendly, but this review is for the deli department. They need some major cleaning to be done and higher upkeep standards, especially with the food. I took a picture of the spinach they had in the deli department. It looks old! I'm surprised the lady even asked if I wanted to add that to my sandwich. It was wilted and like it was starting to go bad. The cilantro next to it was also looking old, like it had just been sitting there, and the banana peppers next to that also looked dated! For the ingredients she did put in, I made sure they were fresh. The counter area where they make the sandwiches didn't look like it gets cleaned or wiped down on a regular basis and there was trash and scraps of food all over the floor on their side of the counter. It did not look clean or presentable at all. This will be the first and last time I order a sandwich from here. Do better, Ralph's. Please. read more

While waiting for the store to open at 6am I head the store alarm system go on and seen the employees gather by door as I presumed that the store was now open even though it was 5:57 As walked towards the door out from the back of the store a German shepherd dog without a leash came rushing I got scared and knocked on the window to let me in a lady came and said 5 more minutes and the employees just laughed and giggled at me " what a great teamwork?" I came to this Ralph's for one thing that I cannot find at a regular market. I'll post a picture. Overall I rather shop at Ralph's it just carries everything. Everyone had masks on some gloves. Worst Ralph's location. They are always understaffed with lines of customers waiting. They always have one of the self check out aisles closed because they don't have enough staff. Also the beauty section is closed off which is really strange. Ya it's in a bad location but they should hire more staff or security to combat the situation. read more

I've lived in Sun Valley my entire life, I will always try to support our local stores especially the well deserved. Since the pandemic this is my go to Favorite Family grocery store. Everytime I shop there, everyone greets you and ask if there is anything they can do to help. The shelves are fully stocked, there is not one essential person there who is not moving around opening boxes after boxes and restocking. I know that it has been hard for everyone to try to find what we now consider "gold" if its toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, antibacterial hand soap and ofcourse rubbing alcohol! This place has it stocked all the time, I am an early bird so I do get my shopping done early in the morning and that is when you are able to find what you need. If you dont see it on the shelves you can always ask and the hard working essential workers always willing to go out of there way to look in back of the store to find it. Today I saw my favorite cashier Lady "Storay" who is always so helpful along with Kaitlyn, they made it so easy for my husband to help with bagging our groceries with our own reusable bags! I will still continue to shop here even after the pandemic! read more

I was at the cash register 10 minutes before close they couldn't get a manager they couldn't help me. They couldn't do anything. This place is a pitch. Absolutely the worst the cashier totally lazy. Martin and his team are a huge part of this community, and we are lucky to have them. Daily they put fresh fruit and bread and salads out for us, and the quality is consistently outstanding. Though Kroger is an expensive option for Sun Valley residents, for those who can afford it, the store elevates quality of life in this neighborhood and folks in town are pretty united in their appreciation of the workforce that makes this happen. No other store in town has the kind of fresh produce Ralphs has, and no other store has the selection of baked goods and prepared seafood items, either. While we pay more for this level of service, we also absolutely see where our money goes. Thank you for all you do! read more

I live near this Ralphs. I hope that they would just have your basic necessities. Sorry they just dont. Even before the pandemic broke out they never had anything. Reason being is I could go down to the Ralphs in Valley Village. They will be routinely stocked. Is it because of a more lower income neighborhood. Maybe? Seems like that all the last few years. I love how you have pushy workers who insist you use the self check out. Oh if you want any hot food from the deli. Expect it to be closed or no food by 4pm. What amazes me more is some of the managers are on their cell phone more than looking to make the store better. I guess I would since this place is sinking ship. Oh and as far as it goes the security here is a joke. From letting people in with no masks to letting people just straight run out and steal items. This is the Ralph's we frequent because it is close to our house. I never find an our with finding parking or the actual parking spaces. Ample parking and the parking spaces are not compact. We find everything we need when we go here. I don't ever remember a time where I've had to ask around looking for things. They've implemented social distancing due to covid with signs outside, in the store, on the floors, and at the registers. Since the COVID pandemic, I definitely walk into places and ask myself "Does it feel clean?"... this Ralph's is a place I definitely feel is clean to go shopping in. An issue that does stand out for me is the security at this location. Truly makes me giggle sometimes when I walk in. Sometimes they're on their phone, look lost, just not secure security. I literally saw someone steal a pack of beer from this place about 2 years ago. Security never caught up, but he diiiiid try his best to run and catch up. read more

Since they installed the self serve checkouts and started charging for bags they act like we are going to steal bags, After spending at least $300 a week! The human cashiers are few and far between. This Ralph's has been going down the drain. Basically this whole shopping center is dropping the ball. They removed most of the cashiers and replaced them with self checkout machines. They are taking away human interaction. There are way less workers and the customer service that was one there is whatever now. I have been to the studio city Ralph's and it is a big difference. The Cashiers still exist and they are friendlier. The place is cleaner too. It is like walking into a different store. read more
