Very disappointing. We had our carpets cleaned throughout the house and were very disappointed with the results. The carpet cleaning work was done with absolutely no pre spraying and the service technician did not take any extra steps or utilize any special techniques or cleaning solutions to try to clean a few of the high traffic areas or remove stains other than running the carpet cleaner back and forth over a few of these area a couple of extra times. Needless to say, this methodology did not work and we were left wondering where were the pre-spraying treatments on the high traffic areas and where were the stain treatments that they promoted when we booked the service. We received very basic service and there was no special effort to get good results and was not worth the expense. read more

I recently had my sheer custom-made living room drapes cleaned by Ram. I asked for their service to take the drapes down and to rehang them because I am elderly and also because I had no idea how to rehang them, even though they were on a simple traverse rod. The cleaning was fine but the rehanging was a very bad joke. The first fellow that rehung them didn't anchor them to the end pieces of the traverse rod so of course they would not open or close. Seems to me that's traverse rod 101. They were also bunched up in the middle. The second guy who came to rehang them said, "What do you mean, bunched?" I knew it was a lost cause so I asked him not to touch my drapes but to just leave. I watched a 10-minute YouTube video about hanging drapes on a traverse rod, and in that 10-minute time span, I became an expert on rehanging drapes. So, two months short of my 77th birthday, this old woman, all 5'0" of me, brought my step-ladder up from the basement and rehung my drapes properly. While doing so, I saw that two hooks had been stabbed through the fabric and were showing on the front. I am so grateful that neither on snagged or tore the sheer fabric. Ram gave me a substantial refund but only after calling every day for over a week, and emailing with numerous before & after pictures. I would not even give them this one star but I have no choice. I had been a RAM customer for 20 years. I hired them to clean my wall to wall carpets. This year, I hesitantly asked them to clean my valuable vintage hand-knotted Persian carpet. Holly assured me that they do clean Persian carpets and that they had done this for 40 years. Little did I know that they don't use any specialized cleaning techniques for expensive Persian carpets. It turns out that they simply use steam-cleaning, just as they do for wall to wall synthetic carpets and also charge more for it. Outrageous. If you know anything about Persian carpets, you would know that steam-cleaning wool/cotton can damage your carpet. You can't wash your wool clothes in hot water, so why would anyone steam clean a wool/cotton carpet. I was never told this critical piece of information when I spoke with Holly. Obviously, she was uninformed. I feel bad for all the individuals who have been fleeced by RAM, thinking that their treasured carpets had been properly cleaned. The 2 guys who came over to pick up my carpet were OK at first, but once I started asking questions, the Filipino looking man started giving me a lot of attitude. He quickly became very rude and dismissive about my concerns. I told him to go ahead and take the carpet away, while I consider what to do. After researching, I confirmed that I was correct. Steam cleaning is not a good idea for wool/cotton carpets, so I called RAM immediately and told them not to do anything with my carpet and just return it to me. Which they did after one week and dumping it in my living room with no regards. In conclusion, if you value your precious Persian carpets at all, do not use RAM for this service unless you want to be fleeced and get terrible service and attitude. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THESE IDIOTS FOR ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. I RECOMMEND DOING SOME RESEARCH ON OTHER COMPANIES. I wish I had a better experience to share. We are setting out house up for sale and booked for blinds to be cleaned and decided to have it all done with a one-stop shop ... Carpet & Blinds "Perfect". The blinds turned out well and were already really clean... just some dust and nice for the new future owners. As for the carpet cleaning, that is a whole other experience. Our carpet has piled down areas, and I understand this can happen in high-traffic zones where they don't freshen up, but this is in low-used areas! Almost like the steam clean pushed the fibres down (I have no answer). They offered a second go-over in the areas I was concerned with, and the tech was puzzled about why they we piling ... "Sorry, this is all they give me to work with". Only have your carpets done with Ram if you want to have them redone with someone else ... the result is not what you are going to be as expected. read more

I used Ram for house cleaning and carpet cleaning in the past. I had their carpet cleaner come in and after he was done I noticed a small ink-like blotch on the steps to the basement. I don't have anything in the house that could've made that stain. They readily came back to fix the problem but he kept insisting it wasn't him that left the stain. A month later i asked for house cleaning services on a predetermined date. I left the house unlocked and unarmed for the crew to access it. They never showed up. Holly gave me a mealy mouthed excuse. Having recently coming home to a flooded basement, I was in a panic mode to find someone to come out and get my place dried and cleaned before the mold set in. After flipping thru the yellow pages, I came across Ram Cleaning Services. Their ad stated that they specialized in disaster recovery and that they were IICRC certified, had lots of years of experience, etc. To me that seemed like a good choice. After working with them for a few days, I started to have second thoughts as to whether these guys were the best guys for the job or not. When talking to the main person, he stated that the cleanup job would cost between $10,000 and $16,000 at the most. I was shocked the next day to get an estimate for almost $17,000. And this estimate was not broken down in a way to justify the high costs. I thought this was very high considering that all they were doing is ripping out the carpets and walls from my basement, some flooring from the main floor and some of the walls. This price did not include any kind of restoration that would see my home back to the condition that it was in before the flood occurred. On the other hand, maybe it is just me and I am out of touch as to how much it actually costs to handle a flooded basement restoration project. I also did some research and discovered that they are not registered with the BBB and have had several complaints over the past couple of years. As well, I went to the IICRC website and discovered that they were not listed on the certified companies list. At this point, it was too late to switch companies and I just crossed my fingers and hoped that they would prove the others wrong and get the job done properly. The other thing that concerned me is that it took about 4 weeks to get the house completely dried and they had all their equipment out of my home. I am not sure if this is caused from not using enough driers/fans or not using the proper equipment. My estimate mentioned the use of 6 dehumidifiers, but at the most I only counted about 4. I was not there every day so I could not confirm if the other 2 were added after I left. As well, when I was there, there were several times that the units were turned off because they had tripped a circuit. After they had completed everything, I was shocked to see that I was also charged $700 for their initial assessment that was billed directly to my credit card. I would have thought this would have been included in the final bill that was given in the estimate. So my job that was supposed to cost no more than $16,000 ended up costing close to $18,000 (after taxes). The end result is that they did get my house dried out and had all my damaged valuables, carpets, walls, etc removed and disposed of. Will I use these guys for my next flooded basement? Hard to say, but one thing for sure is that I will not be in such a panic mode and will get a couple of estimates before hiring a company to do the work. read more

We recently had our windows "cleaned" by Ram Cleaning Services. It was extremely disappointing. The guy came unprepared with a tall enough ladder to reach the high windows and rather than getting a decent ladder, he went ahead and attempted to clean the windows by reaching as far as he could and it was a terrible job. A squeegee was not used to properly clear water after washing. Of course the window sills were left dirty even though that is one of the cleaning processes they include on their website. Very poor job and never heard back from the company again after we let them know of the poor service. Definitely would highly recommend NOT to use their cleaning services!! read more

We hired RAM to collect - clean -reinstall 16 blinds in our house. All of the blinds were Hunter-Douglas pleated blinds. The collection went well - the crew was very good. That is where the good part ends. Blinds were not as clean as I expected, and some blinds were damaged; one set of the blinds was ripped several times. RAM refused all responsibility - claimed (unwarranted) the blinds were sun damaged and that caused the problems. Holly in particular (office manager) was very difficult to deal with. Her objective seems to be to make sure all RAM customers are one-time only customers. Bottomline- do not use RAM services to clean your blinds. You will likely regret it! RB- Calgary. read more

I hired RAM to do a yard cleanup (grass cutting and weeding) for a property in the SE June 12/19. The property owners visited the property June 14/19 and said it looked like nothing had been done. Spoke to Holly - who said she had proof the technician had been there an hour (but did he do anything while there?!) She said she'd talk to the technician and call back, and didn't. Left another message - no call back. They cleaned are blinds, but after reinstalling them one no longer worked. They worked perfectly when their service man took the blinds. They took back the broken blind to look at it, than returned it telling us it could not be fixed and that we should return it to Hunter Douglas on warranty. Hunter Douglas said they no longer made those blinds and they had to replace all the blinds in that area to match. The cost was going to be $100 per blind. It was at this time that Ram said the blind was already broken when they got it and that made them change their cleaning service. Why would one clean something broken and install it, doesn't make sense. Why did they not inform us before? It was only later that y decided it was broken when they got it. read more

there is damage caused by that man who come to my house last year for the furnace cleaning. Prior to the appointment, I call the co. to remind the cleaning person that my filter is a en eletrostatic filter, it has to be disconnected before cleaning, otherwise, it will cause damage to the filter. After he left, there is sparks on the filter, something that never happens before. I notice it as I was doing my laundry. You send another guy to come by, clean that filter, he said the sparks is due to dust on the filter. I said to you the sparks is caused by NOT unplug the cord to the filter prior to cleaning. And after I re-plug it back in, it works. But only for a short time. Since then, I try to clean it the filter every time it sparks, and the most recent time, cleaning it no longer makes any difference. $130 is lost on this electrostatic filter by this co. read more

We have had Ram Snow removal contracted for this winter as we were planning to be away a lot of the winter. The contract was to remove the snow from the front walk and the back deck. Both jobs take me 10 minutes as we live at an "infill". They actually push the snow off the deck onto the steps and pile it on the step and in front of the garage door which is at the base of the step (one step). They actually pile the snow on each of the exits steps from the deck. They show up so late that the chinook actually removes most of the snow for them (or my neighbour shovelled it). The bottom line is they have done a terrible job and I can not recommend this service to anyone as it is the worst $195.00/month that we have ever spent. The only bright light is the girl that answers the phone, she at least sounds like she cares. Clearly the rest of the staff doesn't. read more

Do not use ram cleaning services for any of your window cleaning or power washing needs on any of your properties commercial or residential. I have been employed with ram cleaning services for almost a month and as of today I have quid due to the fact that all of their equipment that they provide for window cleaning and power washing is not up to date does not work or is completely broken on a commission work That we are given I have tried to speak with the owner David or Holly the secretary about the equipment and how the business is run and how it could improve but they do not want to hear your opinion. If you are an employee and you don't have a voice to say what does not work and what should make your job easier and non-stressful should be taken into consideration. I have tried to bring this up to their attention several times but they just tell me they don't want to hear it it's been working for them for years but nobody at ram cleaning services even one attempt or do anything for them for the window cleaning and power washing because the equipment is out of date always broken and in a working environment the employee should work happily with a company not being under stressed that they cannot do the job because we will only get paid for an 8-hour shift which we haven't received as a full-time employee only making $140 a day that doesn't even pay for the maintenance of our own vehicle rent or able to live on what they are paying. I have over 7 years experience in the window cleaning industry as a business owner in Toronto trying to start something new here and I was thinking I could learn some experience. But the only thing I learned from providing people in Toronto 110% service when I provide window cleaning and power washing services to them in this business I was dropping my standards to under 99% due to the fact that everything is out of date in a very careless business run. I highly suggest do not I repeat do not get your windows cleaned or power washed by them because their equipment is not up to date and not up to standards. I have used Ram carpet cleaning services on my house since the mid 80's. I don't think I will be ever using them again. Certainly over all those years I was satisfied with their services and especially thought in most cases they had exceptional technicians that did the work. I had on many occasions called them back to compliment them on the personnel they had. (Update) Recently I was very dissatisfied with the job they did, I wrote a fair but very negative review on here, which I have edited. Ram customer services contacted me and asked if they could send another technician to redo my carpet, I allowed it. This young man reviewed my carpet and said he believed he could get it a lot cleaner and he wanted to go ahead and do it. It's now the day after and I just vacuumed it completely to get the 'pile' all in the same direction so I could look at it carefully. Excellent, cleanest it's looked in years. In my business I always taught the young people "if you haven't screwed up you haven't done anything". I retract my 'never using them again' comment. Not happy with Ram service provided. Didn't do a good job with rug washing. Yellow spots appeared after their washing service and as well mattress cleaning was more the horrible. My Expensive mattress now has two holes from the cleaning guy. He used the same tool for carpet cleaning. I asked them several times if are able to perform this job and they were 100% positive. In the end mattress was in the same conditions but with two holes. I told them do not want to pay because i was not satisfied and they accepted. 6 months later they start chasing me to pay and i got several times phone calls and they sent me the bill. I recently booked them to do a chimney cleaning and was late showing up for my appointment. They were kind enough to wait and not leave without letting me know they were waiting. Took it in to get cleaned and when I brought it home there were two large rust stains on the rug that were never there when I brought it to be cleaned. Brought it back and they tried to get them out, which made it worse. They refused to admit it was their fault, refused to refund my money, never returned phone calls, even when they passed me on to Holly the supposed 'supervisor'. Finally got fed up and dropped by the shop and refused to leave until I got my refund. Terrible, shameful, customer service. Hope they go out of business. read more

I was in desparate need, our basement flooded, and I needed someone right away. Ofcourse I googled like we all do these days, and I found Ram Cleaning services. i had to leave a message, but they called back shortly after, and I was able to book an appointment for the next day ( When can we do that these days ? ) The staff that came out were friendly, and I thought they did a good job. I hired Ram Cleaning Services to clean our carpets just before Christmas. Not only did the technician do a great job on our carpets, but I was pleasantly surprised at how the appointment was handled. Not only did we receive a call the day before to confirm our 2:00 appointment, but we received a call on the day of the appointment at approx. 1:30 to confirm that the tech was on his way. Maybe it's a sign of the times, but it was so nice to have a tech show up when promised. I will definitely use Ram again. read more

This incident happened Saturday 23 March 2019-to present 8 March 2019. (No compensation or giving a fair deal by the company, what a joke) RAM cleaning service provides a terrible service, and the staff are not helpful at all, especially Holly Bennett, Tabatha, technician Windale, Dave the owner. You guys must watch out for this company, DO NOT ever give them your business. You will definitely regret it. The whole problem we had encounter was the humidifier had a leak due to the floating valve that didn't close up when the furnace stopped running and had flood my entire basement floor. RAM cleaning service had denied to help us. No compensation was given, terrible nightmare. What a shame, they simply just want us to suffer a huge cost. The supervisor named Holly Bennett told us that our flood has nothing to do with them, and they will not pay for any of the damage cost. HELLO? They are the one who installed the humidifier and is totally their responsibility to take care of their value customer. We had mold on our laminate floor, mold underneath of the our expansive under-layers, mold on our baseboards, mold on our drywalls, and supervisor Holly Bennet wouldn't offer any assistant at all. She is definitely the person to blame, because she didn't handle the situation properly. On September 21, 2018 Ram Carpet Cleaning attempted to clean a wool area rug and damaged the fibres. The technician came to get me to show me the damage he had done with his tool.He could not continue cleaning for fear he would ruin it even more! He wrote right on the receipt "tried to spot clean on wool carpet and damaged fibres" Ram came and got the rug to inspect it. That was 3 weeks ago!! I have attempted several times to get in contact with the manager and not once has he or the office manager called me back! They have kept me chasing them! After calling once again today they are now saying that the damage was already existing!!!! Even though the technician himself admitted to damaging the carpet! He even called the office at my house to tell them what had happened! Please beware of this company!! They are totally dishonest crooks! Do not have them clean Drapes. Last winter I contacted them to ask if they could clean linen drapes as they were custom and very expensive. My home was being painted and it would be easier if the drapes were removed. The drapes were in perfect condition when removed from my home. My home is a non smoking home and the drapes were hanging in living room seldom used. They said no problem so they came and picked up the drapes. They were in excellent condition when picked up but when returned to my home a month later they were stretched on one side so that the left side hangs on the floor and where the drapes had been hemmed the holes had enlarged. They were completely wrinkled and looked as if they had been wet and bunched up while drying. I asked for them to be returned to Ram as something needed to be done to fix them. Ram took absolutely no responsibility for the condition the drapes were in and returned them to me a short while later only after i agreed to pay the bill over the phone with my visa card. Their assertion that the drapes were like that in the first place defies common sense as i had alerted them to the fact that the drapes were linen and wanted to be assured that this was something they had the capability of properly cleaning.If in fact as they attest they looked like that in the first place would they not have contacted me to advise that they would have difficulty with them. I called this company to get a carpet patch repair. They were super easy to work with - gave me a quote right over the phone, and was able to schedule someone in within 3 working days. The job took under and hour and the outcome looks great! I didn't think a carpet patch would look so good, no need for a complete replacement of my basement carpet. my 16" by 45" patch costed me only $200, compared to a quote of $6000 to replace the entire floor. Professional, quick, and great results, what else can anyone ask for. There is a bit of a tinge difference between the old and new carpet, but I don't think this will be as noticeable after I vacuum in (was told not to for 8 hours to let the glue set) read more

I was disappointed with Ram cleaners. They showed up an hour and half late (11:30am) from the end of the appointment time booked (830am to 10am). The cleaners did not clean what was requested on the required list. Their attention was poor since there were dust, grease, urinal in the obvious spot of kitchen and bathrooms. When I brought this up to the supervisor, Holly. The only explanation was they would send the cleaners back and be charged more after submitting photos of what was missed by the cleaners. We had an interesting experience with Ram Cleaning Service in Calgary last week. We were preparing a house for sale and were working hard ourselves at it... and we chose to hire Ram because we assumed it was better to deal with one company for multiple services and get professional cleaners even if it cost more. We were on a timeline. Their blind cleaning was the best part and seemed reasonably priced, but my husband got different information on the phone than I did. They only pick up and deliver the blinds on certain days and it takes them at least 4 working days to clean them. We had to drop them off in order to get them back in time for the first showing. They were pretty clean (repairs cost more and take 7 days more) except the guy delivering the blinds seemed perturbed that he was to install them and seemed to have thought he was just dropping them off. The fellow that cleaned the windows did a good job on the glass but left the frames with dirty corners and marks along the sides. I pointed it out on several and he want back and cleaned them but in the end I had to go around and catch his other misses. I thought maybe women just clean better (sexist?) The estimate on the phone was $60-80 for 23 window panes & a sliding door but the bill was $110. Although I told them I'd like the frames cleaned, they didn't include what they call tracks in the quote. He returned another day to clean the glass of the fireplace and it cost an additional $86. He did a great job of this. We didn't price this elsewhere. The window cleaner btw was the supervisor. The carpet cleaner had a time with his hoses freezing up and I think he rushed his job not getting the stairs and a few stains as clean as we would have liked. The cost was $162. about double the quote from another firm. The maids were interesting. Our order was for 2 maids for 2 hours @ $190/hour and we could ask them to stay longer if needed. Instead of 2, 3 maids arrived. 2 mature ladies and one that appeared to be early 20's, I'll call her Sh. The older ladies definitely 'carried' Sh. She was barely pushing a rag around the surfaces although I said she would need to scrub to get the kitchen clean. I pointed out a few areas that she cleaned that were NOT satisfactory including the stove where she had clearly not even wiped the cleaner off. She kept saying it didn't come off but I'd wipe it off in front of her. The other ladies were great. One cleaned the hard water residue off a glass shower door and it looked like new! She was great! We assumed Sh was somebody's daughter as one of the older ladies finished upstairs and stepped into the kitchen to 'help' get through the work. We had them stay longer to finish. Sh was also on the phone 3 times calling head office for 5-10 minutes each, supposedly to check pricing. We were estimated a finish time of 5:00 but they finished at 4:50. Someone at the office told her to charge us till 5, meaning we were overcharged 10 mins x 3 maids = 30 minutes! We called as soon as they left and they said ok, we'll do an adjustment. Great. We also told them we were very happy with 2 maids but Sh was useless. My husband asked to speak to a supervisor and of course he didn't call back. The next morning preparing for the photographer, we saw again how poor a job Sh did. Opening the oven and cupboards and none of the kick plates etc had even been touched. Almost the entire kitchen had to be redone. We called again and again the office staff blew us off. I finally said, unless we get satisfaction we will revoke all of the payments from our credit card. Finally a woman called back and my husband explained the situation. When he told her he had to stop the young maid from putting the stove elements into a sink full of water, she started to get it, but we were stunned to learn that this person was experienced and with the company for some time. I'd have fired her on the spot. So she agreed to send touch up people. Another carpet cleaner came and did get the carpet much cleaner... great. But guess who the cleaners were that they sent back??? Right. Sh with another young one I'll call S, who was a supervisor. We weren't impressed. As we showed her the deficiencies, S noted several things that 'would cost extra' and 'they don't do' but I was not letting up. She called the office and apparently was told to do it anyway. They were there for 2 hours and S did a great job. Sh was better but clearly S made the difference. In the end it set us back a day and caused a lot of frustration and tact, but we were satisfied and they do guarantee 100% satisfaction. Too bad it was a struggle to get there. If you are hardnosed and bolder with the cleaners than we were you might do ok to hire Ram, but if not, I'd stay away. You can find much cheaper help for most of it, and not have to threaten them to get the job done that they committed to. I despise this company. They are very unprofessional and do not care about safety of their customers or a decent level of customer service. If you have an issue with them they will not return your calls and will hang up on you. They do not care about their customers and I will be sure to tell anyone I know about the poor service and how disgusting they are. Just because they are a known name is the only reason they are in business. After them we called a small guy and the level of service and knowledge he offered us was extremely different. Worse cleaning service I've ever dealt with. Booked a move out clean for the house and it was to be completed in 1 day as we had to return the house to the landlord the next day. Showed up late and I had to call the company to make sure they're still coming after they called us they were going to be an hour late... The hour they told us had pass and no calls. So I personally had to call RAM services. Didn't even give us a heads up that they're late AGAIN UNTIL I called... A move out clean is very simple and self-explanatory. Any additional request was to be given in a list which was. I didn't think I had to leave a list at the house when it was already emailed and provided before booking. As there employee even told me just to email them the list to the confirmation email I receive so they have it ready for them. Then all the sudden, when I called on Monday the excuse with the list is I emailed the list to the wrong email address... Yet how does that make sense...? I would think common sense is the reply back to that email I received from them so everything is in 1 thread which would be easier for them to go back at if something was missing... I guess not... Now the clean they did... 2.5 hours of cleaning and all they did was mop the first level and vacuum the second floor... After telling them what needs to be done and they still didn't do it. For example, baseboards... The excuse they provided was an absolute joke... They have all the cleaning supplies in their possession and they said it couldn't be cleaned... Yet a simple damp paper towel was able to get the baseboards clean... They said it was too tough to clean off... They also said to me on the phone when I called and explained to them I wasn't happy is that they said maybe the product the cleaners used in the beginning made it easier for us to wipe down... WHY ARE WE WIPING IT DOWN!? That is their job to do when we're paying them and it was requested to be done in the first place... I also requested the basement to be clean... Wasn't even touched... Not a single thing was done in the basement. I can keep writing and writing on what they missed but you already can see this is clearly unacceptable. All they said is when nothing is fully clean is to add more time = more money when we specifically said we needed the house cleaned in 1 day. They told me 3 hours was plenty to get clean so they said coming between 1 pm to 3 pm is plenty of window time... I guess since we were the last job of the day, they can just do the bare minimum clean and be on their way. They also missed so many simple things, like a wipe down on counters and ledges... I didn't think I need to request a wipe down on such simple things... I trusted RAM service because they've been in the business for so long... But I was wrong. The staff is rude and one of their employees hung up on me when I was trying to explain the issues that had happened. No voices were raise as all I wanted was a resolution. The best part is they won't do a thing for you too... The lady on the phone did not even call me back at all. So my personal experience is hoping that people don't spend money on companies like this. Spend the money on independent mobile services because they will make sure the job is done right as they're self-employed and want their business to continue to grow. read more

Called Ram as we sold our house in Bearspaw and wanted to leave clean for new owners. I booked weeks in advance and paid by credit card for 2 people to come for 3 hours after all our belongings from moving company were out. So yes 2 ladies showed up but seemed surprised we were still there, than they informed me they could only stay 1/2 hour as one had an appointment i said I booked for 3 hours, they said they know that but their boss told them to come anyways. I gave one a broom to sweep out garage and ask one to wipe out cupboards.. well they acted like using a broom was heavy labour and took off ... so my husband and I were left with all the cleaning.... unless you can watch them would not recommend, as well not reliable if important! They were not at all sorry when I escalated to Management. read more

We scheduled Ram to clean our carpets and hired movers to move our furniture as some of it was really heavy. They called the day before and we confirmed the time and date. We then received a call 30 minutes before scheduled arrival and they said they had no staff so couldn't help us but maybe the next week. Our house was upside down at this point and they didn't seem to care. Really unfortunate for a company that has been around for so long. read more

I hired Ram Services to come out and clean my many outside windows. Ken Kouadio came out right on time and did an awesome job. I live outside Calgary where my well water is extremely hard. He literally had to scrap off the residue on some windows left by the lawn sprinkler. He was very pleasant and I will not hesitate to hire Ram back again in the fall.
