I have shopped regularly Ramakko's since 1997 when the store was on Paris Street. I am surprised by the negative reviews. Yes, their prices are higher than the large high-volume sports stores like Sail, Cabela's, or Bass Pro, but they are locally-owned and we would be much worse off if we had to buy everything by mail order. I have found their service to range from excellent to very good, never average or poor, and they have always gone the extra mile to get replacement products from distributors on the few occasions when I am not satisfied. I do not know what the mask requirements were at the time of the other review, except that COVID was (and still is...) transmitted as an aerosol by infected people, so ALL of the world health agencies were imposing mask requirements during the pandemic and I was happy that they followed the guidelines. In any case, they have a good selection of high quality gear (orders of magnitude better than Crappy Tire...), and the staff are friendly and for the most part very knowledgeable. The owner, who is actually there much of the time, is amazingly nice. I recommend them highly. read more

Regardless of external product policies when I broke a 400$ daiwa lexa musky reel due to a defect I expect more than a, "oh well, we will see if they replace it in a year's time." Super expensive they kinda godge cause they know they got the market cornered in Sudbury They do have some nice guns tho but I always buy my ammo and fishing tackle at shitty tire cause it's fairly priced if I wanna pay double or triple for the same thing I know where to go. read more

I am a regular shopper and stopped in to buy several items that i needed for a fishing trip,when i was approached by a sales person and was asked to put a mask, when i told her no because of my condition she said that i could discuss this with the manager which i did and told me the same to put a mask on or purchase items online which i declined.I told her that it was against the charter of rights and the law and she did not reply.Maybe your staff should educate themselves on it.Why should i deprive myself of oxygen and put my life in danger for people that are scared and uninformed.If you are so afraid of people without masks maybe you should stay home?Double up on your mask?lol They probably had the vaccine and still they enforce this policy.I also noticed a dog in the store but that's okay nobody has allergies animal rights comes first.What a joke won't be spending my money there anymore.I would suggest Sail or Cabelas Bass Pro they don't harass people and are not prejudiced.This is going on social media as well! read more
