Husband bought some very nice suits from Ramani's which he had tailored and he suggested I bring an ill-fitting coat there. They did a GREAT job. I bought the coat too large bc they didn't have my size, and after alterations it fit perfectly. Like, better than if I had just gotten my normal size in the first place (I often find my arms are too long for smaller sizes anyway). The tailoring was super fast, on time, and a fair price. I was so happy I ended up bringing my "ugly" thrift store coat there also (previously an XXL) and it fits so well now I can actually wear it out! read more

My husband and I went in on Thursday to have his jacket and my dress for a wedding we are both in altered. It says they're open until 7 so it was perfect for me to go after work. We get there about 5 and was told the owner (?) sent the seamstress home early because "she's 81 and needs sleep" so okay... fine. We go back on Saturday when he said she would be there, which she was. My husband puts the jacket on and I put on the dress. The seamstress looks at my husband's jacket and refuses to work on it because it was a bit big and she said there was nothing she could do. The owner (?) who was there then proceeded to make my husband try on jackets that were too small and when my husband said they were too small and did not fit properly, the owner said "well I know. I just wanted you to see what this looked like "... but why?? The seamstress moves onto me and looks me up and down then asks what I want. I needed some padding taken out of the chest, a shorter hem as it was about 6inches too long even with my heels on, and a little more cut on the slit of the dress. Nothing crazy. She literally refused every. single. thing. She told me that I should not have bought the dress offline (like I had a choice, that's where the bride picked for us to get our dresses), refused to take the padding out of the dress, despite the padding not being in the correct place and making me look like I had 4 boobs, said that the dress is "supposed to be flowy and is so beautiful at the bottom so I shouldn't get it hemmed" (even though it was obviously ridiculously too long and I would trip trying to walk in it), and just flat out told me no to having more of a slit cut. She told me I should have ordered a bigger dress and then the pads would fit, but the dress itself fits me perfectly and I dont need anything taken in at all, but insisted I needed bigger. Then said "you buy a bigger dress then come in here and I'll help you" YEA RIGHT like I would ever ever ever ever give them my time and money. I don't know how they are still open. I would never recommend anyone to go here for anything. read more

Vicky is the best tailor I've used in my 50+ years. I have broad shoulders and a flat chest, so it's hard to find anything that fits. I work in a technical field, and I like a particular brand of women's button-down shirts because the collar lays nice and flat--looks professional. But in recent years the shirts had these 'bust darts' added into the sides to make more room for women who are more enhanced than myself. For me, they just formed two droopy air pockets on my chest! I took it to Vicky, and she practically dissected the shirt... she took apart the darts, and reshaped the bust area so it fit. That was in addition to taking in the sides which Vicky does for all of my shirts. So if you have any alteration, even if you think it's not possible, go to Ramani's and ask for Vicky. You won't be disappointed! read more

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! Multiple and ridiculous problems. Blamed us for the wardrobe malfunction (lack of quality /construction)AND then never reimbursed us for leaving us with a unwearable pair of pants 300 miles and 1 hour from important event- ruining the events for both of us. My boyfriend insisted on using this place to get a tux for a very important, high end event since he had used them several times in the past, not realizing they were now different owners (men's wear house was WAY cheaper but boyfriend insisted on these guys). First- we made an appointment and when we arrived the clerk made some lame excuse, canceled and left. Went back several days later and ordered the tux... Then.... They lost the original purchase order and we only discovered this by accident when calling to confirm our pick up a few days away. So then.... We went back and ordered another tux at the last minute and picked it up two days later, having to immediately drive out of state for a wedding the very next day. If the original issues hadn't happened we would've been able to try on before leaving the store and the state, but because of this company's multiple issues, we were out of time. And we ended up totally screwed. So of course then... an hour and a half before the wedding, boyfriend went to put the pants on and the zipper was completely destroyed, so the pants were completely unusable. I am not being dramatic when I say this issue ruined the entire night for me- he was a complete whiny bitch because he couldn't wear the bottom of the tux at his family's million dollar wedding- in fact, I had to hear all about it while stuck in Tappanzee Bridge traffic and all the way home to CT! All about the broken zipper and how it ruined his good time., yards, yadda, yadda... While we called this company from New Jersey as soon as we found issues- but they couldn't do anything to help us from that far away and we were told to call back during the week when we got home so they "could straighten it out". But... when we returned tux, the clerk blamed my boy friend for pulling the zipper "up and down repeatedly when he tried it on"! Are you f'ing kidding me??? Then... Offered a measly $25 in a rebate (rental cost us $220) which I refused. We then tried to call the owner later, who didn't take the call, but an associate claiming to be his son said they would send us a check reimbursing the full amount - that claim was over six months ago and we are still waiting!!! Now... We are going to end up buying a tux for events in next few months from ANY where other than these charlatans! And... We are submitting a better business bureau claim against this crappy operation. And finally... if I could, I would give this company a score of minus -100 stars! Worst customer service ever!!! Has done all my suits since 2010 no matter my various size needs lol. Steve And Teresa are Great! Vicki the tailor is a veteran who said she's done this for 50yrs. I always get a deal from them and every suit I buy is tailored to fit me and not off the rack. If you go to a dept store, you may get a suit but you'll still have to have it tailored or you'll look like a poser so you might as well just get it all down there for the same price or even cheaper sometimes. Absolutely awful!!! Overpriced, unorganized- liars. My fiancé has been working with Theresa for our upcoming wedding and she asked us to get measurements for the groomsmen, I have no idea why as nothing is done when you go to pick up the cloths. White shirt out of a bag for $65, completely overpriced, and then you stand there for them to tailor it- after weeks of waiting!!! My fiancé told her that the ring bearer, who is 7 is in NY with no way to get down here for tailoring- we need to send the outfit to him. She sends the outfit to NY, 4 days before the wedding and it's grown men's size. So now it has to be completely tailored in NY. Completely ridiculous!!! We ordered a vest for him and she sent Suspenders!! We asked her to order Irish caps with colors and she ordered light brown pageboy hats. Not at all what we asked for. To top it off the tag on the caps says $29.99 and she charged my fiancé $39.99. Then they state no returns!!! Such complete bs as everything has been a mess from start to finish and I would send every single thing back and rush order exactly what we received from Amazon- there isn't even anything special about what we received. Just overpriced junk, with bad hem jobs to boot! I would never recommend them to anyone- all this Theresa person does is try to upsell everything and doesn't listen to what you actually want at all. My fiancé is passive and just listened to her, thinking she's some expert. She's nothing but a pushy sales person, that has no idea what she's doing. So after everyone spends close to $2000 for suspenders, kaki pants, a white shit and page boy caps.. I would say it's a complete rip off joint!! read more
